Marisol found sanctuary in Moon's bedroom, hastily locking the door after learning about the unexpected end-of-summer party Moon had orchestrated, deceiving her in the process. Originally intending to enjoy a casual hangout, Marisol now tried to immerse herself in watching Stranger Things Season Two Episode Seven.

However, the tranquility of the room was repeatedly shattered as the door persisted in being opened, forcing Marisol to jump for the fifteenth time. Amidst the suspense of the TV show, Marisol navigated the tension of her hidden refuge, where the unexpected party outside contrasted sharply with the privacy she sought within Moon's room.

A voice pierced through the quietude. "Mars? It's me, Hawk. I just wanna talk," came Hawk's voice from behind the door. Frowning, Marisol raised her eyebrows, a mix of curiosity and caution lingering in her expression. Standing up, she opened the door, welcoming Hawk into Moon's room. Swiftly locking the door behind him, she observed his entrance.

"Heh, blue LED lights," Hawk pointed out with a smirk, his eyes scanning the room. Marisol responded with a casual shrug, a slight blush betraying her as she acknowledged his observation. The atmosphere held a mix of tension and the shared familiarity of their clandestine meeting in Moon's room.

His gaze landed on Moon's TV, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "Nice, Stranger Things!" Marisol giggled, casually pushing her hair back behind her ear. "Yeah, rewatching before Season Three comes out next summer," she revealed, a grin playing on her lips. Eli shot her a skeptical look.

"Season Three isn't even announced yet," he laughed, challenging Marisol's anticipation. Undeterred, Marisol gave him a stern look and retorted with a taunting smirk, "I bet it's coming out next summer, okay? Got a problem with that?" Taking a step closer, she invited a playful banter. Eli responded with a cocky smirk, setting the stage for a lighthearted exchange in Moon's room.

"Yeah, maybe I do?" he responded with a taunting smirk. Marisol burst into laughter, unable to contain her amusement, and covered her face with her hand. He gently grabbed her hand, pulling it away. "Don't cover your smile, it's cute," he complimented, and she felt heat rising to her cheeks. Looking up at him with a soft, gazing demeanor, Marisol smiled softly. The room was filled with a moment of shared laughter and a subtle exchange that hinted at a connection growing between them.

His eyes descended to her lips, a subtle anticipation building as he leaned in, drawing her into a soft kiss. She closed her eyes, butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she kissed him back. In a serendipitous turn, the kiss felt electrifying, coinciding with the LED lights flashing above. As they parted, both looked up at the sparkling lights, sharing a chuckle. "Ironic," she remarked with a soft grin. He nodded, reciprocating the grin. Their eyes met once more, creating a connection that transcended words, a silent understanding blossoming between them in the glow of Moon's room.

As Marisol lost herself in his blue eyes, the prospect of another kiss loomed until an unexpected knock startled them apart. A soft gasp escaped Marisol as she directed her wide-eyed gaze toward the door, her hand instinctively finding its place on her chest.

"Marisol! It's me, Moon," Moon's voice came from behind the door, and Marisol's eyes widened even more. "Um, okay?" she awkwardly responded, a cringe evident on her face as she facepalmed at her own awkwardness. Moon began unlocking the door, gradually revealing Marisol and Hawk, both wearing expressions of fear as their private moment faced an unwelcome intrusion. The atmosphere was charged with an unspoken tension, their interrupted connection left hanging in the air.

Moon raised a curious eyebrow. "Did something happen in here?" she questioned, Hawk swiftly making his exit. Marisol, biting her bottom lip, met Moon's gaze with a mischievous grin. "Hawk and I just kissed!" she squealed, relishing the revelation. Moon's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "What!? Oh my god! I'm so happy for you," she exclaimed, her genuine excitement filling the room as the unexpected news unfolded.

Marisol was on the lookout for Sam, hoping for a chance to talk, when she unexpectedly bumped into Demetri. "Demetri?" Her eyes widened, taking in the sight of beer being poured all over him. "What happened?" Her voice carried a worried tone as she looked at Demetri with concern.

He met her gaze with a frown. "Eli," he mumbled, and her face dropped. "What?" she questioned, feeling her heart sink. He nodded sadly, "Yeah, we were finally talking like friends, and I guess I said the wrong thing, and he got mad, and well," he gestured to himself, revealing the aftermath of the encounter with Eli. The weight of the situation lingered between them, marked by an unspoken understanding of the friendship strained by miscommunication.

A frown marred Marisol's face as she gently patted Demetri's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Dem. I finally thought things were going okay," she sighed, expressing her sympathy. Demetri's face hardened, a memory resurfacing. "Uh, so I heard that you were a Cobra Kai now?" he asked, his tone holding a mix of confusion and concern.

Her eyebrows furrowed in genuine bewilderment. "Wh- What? Who- Who told you that?" she stammered, caught off guard by the unexpected revelation. Demetri scoffed. "Eli did, of course," he replied, his words adding a layer of tension to the already strained encounter.

Marisol clicked her tongue in frustration. "It was just one time, okay? I just wanted to see what Cobra Kai was like. It was terrible, and then I left, but there are good people there, like Tory, Migue-" her words were abruptly cut off when Demetri huffed dismissively. "Save it," he shook his head, his demeanor signaling a reluctance to hear her explanation. He started to walk away, leaving Marisol with an open-mouthed expression.

As Demetri turned back around, he added, "You know, I'm surprised. You of all people would even go there," delivering a bitter comment before walking away towards the bathroom. Marisol furrowed her eyebrows, perplexed by the unexpected and cryptic remark. The tension between them lingered, leaving her questioning the implications behind his words.

Marisol navigated through the house, a sense of uncertainty tugging at her. The echoes of the last party she attended lingered, casting a shadow over her current experience. The atmosphere shifted when she caught wind of Demetri grabbing the microphone and calling Eli's name. Reacting quickly, she made her way into the room.

Crossing her arms, Marisol raised an eyebrow as Demetri's cup was raised in the air. "Oh!" he scoffed, a note of sarcasm coloring his tone. "I'm sorry. Some of you might know him as Hawk." With that proclamation, he dropped his cup, creating a moment of tension and curiosity in the room. Marisol observed the unfolding scene with a mix of apprehension and intrigue, uncertain about the implications of Eli's alter ego being exposed.

Marisol braced herself, anticipating that this wouldn't unfold well. "But underneath that crazy clown cosplay and whatever type of Manic Panic he dumps in his hair, he's still good old Eli. My binary brother. Marisol Cervantes' ex-boyfriend. Well, he was my binary brother and her boyfriend," he insulted, his words carrying a biting edge. Marisol instinctively covered her face as the eyes of the partygoers turned toward her. Eli, catching her discomfort, shot her a sympathetic look, understanding her desire to shield herself from the unfolding embarrassment.

"You wanna know what he is now? A real zero. You wanna know what he did to Marisol?" he continued, the weight of his words hanging in the air, creating a tense atmosphere. Marisol felt exposed, emotions swirling as the spotlight turned on the details of her past relationship.

Marisol's attention was instantly drawn to Hawk, noting the tension as he clenched his jaw. She observed him with a furrowed brow, a hint of confusion in her eyes, just as Hawk's nostrils flared. Without hesitation, he took a purposeful step forward, a subtle warning in his movements. "All right, that's enough, Demetri," he declared, his voice carrying an unmistakable and threatening tone. The atmosphere in the room shifted, the tension escalating between the two friends.

"Don't let that angry red hairdo fool you. He would gaslight Marisol and have an attitude with her. It is, after all, why they broke up, right, Mars?" He looked directly at her, and she gaped, caught in the crossfire between Demetri and Eli.

Speechless, she glanced back and forth, grappling with the unexpected revelations. "Oh, and he did manipulate her. He was dared to kiss her, so he swooped in, started being nice to her again, just to kiss her at this party and continue to fool her." The weight of Demetri's words hung in the air, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere as the truth unfolded in front of the partygoers.

Marisol's jaw dropped, and her heart raced, a whirlwind of emotions engulfing her. The room seemed to spin as she locked eyes with Eli, who approached her with a stream of apologies. Demetri's continued words clashed with Eli's attempts to explain, creating a chaotic backdrop. Amid the tumult, the only discernible sound was the rapid cadence of Marisol's own heartbeat, echoing in her ears.

"You were dared to kiss me?" she choked out, her voice carrying a mix of disbelief and hurt. Eli's gaze met hers, and he gaped at her, a guilty expression etched on his face. The room stood still for a moment, suspended in the weight of unspoken truths and shattered trust.

Overwhelmed by the judgmental looks and curious stares, she forcefully pushed through the crowd, desperate to escape the suffocating atmosphere. Her tumultuous journey led her to the pool area where, abruptly, she came to a halt. A fresh wave of heartache washed over her as she witnessed the scene unfolding before her – Sam kissing Miguel.

The realization struck deep, a piercing betrayal. Marisol was well aware that Sam was in a relationship with Robby. Miguel's text from the roller rink night echoed in her mind, a stark reminder of the deception playing out in front of her eyes. The pain of the revelation intensified, leaving her standing there, grappling with the weight of newfound heartbreak.

The impact was like a knife through her heart. The belief in their friendship crumbled at the sight of him kissing Sam. Gasping in disbelief, Marisol couldn't bear to witness any more. She turned and ran off, her desperate escape leading her to collide with another person. As she looked up, she found Tory standing there.

"I- I'm sorry," Marisol stuttered, a mix of emotions coursing through her. Tory sighed, offering a reassuring presence. "It's fine, girl..." Tory trailed off, nudging her slightly. The unspoken question hung in the air, and with a heavy heart, Marisol nodded. "Did you see..?" Tory asked, recognizing the pain reflected in Marisol's tear-filled eyes.

Marisol's acknowledgment came with a muffled sob, the weight of betrayal pressing on her. "Yes," she admitted, her voice tinged with pain as tears welled up. Tory, attuned to Marisol's emotional storm, didn't hesitate. Recognizing the imminent emotional eruption, Tory gently grabbed Marisol's arm, offering a comforting anchor. "Come on," she urged, guiding Marisol toward the refuge of her car, a haven away from the hurtful scene and the emotions threatening to engulf them both.

β€”

Marisol stepped into Tory's house, her initial unease dispelled when she realized Tory had extended an invitation for a sleepover. As the evening unfolded, Marisol took on the responsibility of putting her little brother, Brandon, to bed. With him settled for the night, Marisol returned to the living room.

"Sorry, I want him back on a regular schedule for school," she explained, a mixture of gratitude and relief coloring her words as she appreciated Tory's consideration for her brother's routine. The atmosphere in the house shifted from the earlier turmoil, transitioning into a night of shared comfort and support between the two friends.

Marisol chuckled, casually waving off the bedtime routine as she said, "It's fine. We're doing the same with my little sister, Mila." Tory nodded in acknowledgment, sharing a moment of understanding.

The atmosphere shifted as Tory delved into a more sensitive topic, asking, "So.. Sam cheated on you too?" Marisol shook her head, her tone straightforward. "Not me. Robby. We broke up a month ago. She went straight to Robby after," she explained, a touch of raw honesty in her words. Tory's response was a scoff, capturing the shared frustration as she remarked, "Those LaRussos messing up our lives for sure." The conversation wove a thread of connection between them, grounded in shared struggles and disappointments.

Marisol's shoulders slumped, a hint of sadness in her gaze. Tory, attempting to console her, spoke assertively, "Don't be sad over her, Marisol. Not Eli either. They don't deserve you, just like I don't need Miguel. But, I still want to get revenge. Because a cheater is always a cheater. I don't want to do this alone, so I need your help."

Looking up at Tory, Marisol furrowed her eyebrows, her curiosity evident. "What are we gonna do?" she asked, studying Tory with a cautious and slightly suspicious look, wondering about the revenge plot that was unfolding before her.

Β Β  Tory's face lit up with a mischievous grin, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "How about this? We confront her at school, right in front of everyone," she suggested, her voice filled with a sense of adventure. Marisol's eyes widened in surprise, her eyebrows shooting up. "Whoa! Isn't that a little too extreme?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with concern.

Tory raised an eyebrow, a playful challenge in her expression. "Not if we've been cheated on," she replied confidently, her tone leaving no room for doubt. Marisol bit her lip, her uncertainty evident. "But I wasn't cheated on, though?" she questioned, her voice tinged with confusion. Tory let out a sigh, a mixture of amusement and disbelief.

She leaned back against the couch, her laughter filling the room. "Dude, trust me. Right after you guys broke up, she's already with Keene," she hummed, watching as Marisol's eyes widened in realization. "Okay, you've got a point... you're actually starting to convince me," Marisol admitted, her voice filled with a mix of surprise and consideration.

this was probably not gonna end well.. Marisol thought.
