The cart seemed to keep moving for hours. When it finally stopped, Aleta wasn't sure if she was relieved or terrified. The Reapers grabbed a body and pulled him out of the cart. They carried the body away and seconds later, she heard screams. He wasn't dead. Now he probably was.

Clarke got up and peered over the edge of the cart. She turned around and looked at them. "Ok, come on," she whispered.

Aleta carefully got up and moved to one of the edges. Anya sat up but didn't move. They looked back at her.

"What are you doing?" Let's go," Clarke whispered.

"Yu gonplei ste odon," Anya whispered to a man before snapping his neck.

Aleta's mouth fell open in shock. Anya looked angry but got up. They threw the clothes out of the cart and went out after them. The three picked up the clothes and began to run. When they got far enough away they began to put on the clothes. Aleta moved as quickly as she could, lacing up her boots and standing up.

When they were all done they began to run again. The tunnels seemed to span forever and ever. Aleta was tired of running and felt hot underneath the jacket she was wearing.

"Damn it. This place is a maze," Clarke said. Anya began to slow down and coughed. Aleta and Clarke stopped as well and turned to face her.

"What are they doing to us?" Anya asked quietly.

"They use your blood. I saw a soldier come in with radiation burns. Hours later, he was fine. It's like your blood is healing them somehow. I've never seen anything like it. Come on. This way," Clarke quickly answered. She began to run in one direction but Anya turned to walk in the other direction.

Clarke noticed this quickly and made her way back to Anya. "Hey. Hey. What are you doing? That's the way back to the Reapers," she said.

"You go your way, I'll go mine," Anya replied.

"Anya, we need to stick together," Aleta told her.

"I told you there is no 'we'," Anya retorted.

"We saved your life," Clarke told her.

"You saved my life because you need me. I know the way back to your people. I know where the traps are hidden. You two would never make it alone," Anya responded. Clarke began to walk in the direction she was originally walking in with Aleta following.

"We don't have time for this. Our best chance of making it out of here alive is together. All we can do is keep moving and hope—" Clarke turned back to where Anya was to see that she was gone.

"Anya. Anya?" Clarke whispered walking forward.

"Clarke, we need to move," Aleta said. Clarke turned back to Aleta and the two began running again. They ran for a few minutes before stopping when they heard a Reaper. They turned to run in a different direction but another Reaper appeared.

"Shit," Aleta hissed. They ran into a different direction and two more Reapers appeared.

"Oh, no. No, no," Clarke muttered. The two huddled together. They were completely surrounded. There was no way out of this. No way to get around them. They were gonna die. A strange noise was heard and the Reapers cried out and moved away from them. Aleta looked around the tunnels in confusion.

"Get back! Get the hell away from them! Now!" A voice called.

Two men in hazmat suits ran up, holding up objects toward the Reapers, who cowered away before running off. "Clarke Griffin and Aleta Correia, you're coming with us," one of them said. Aleta stared at them in fear. They were so close.

The guards grabbed them and hauled them off by their arms. Aleta sighed, her eyes flitting to Clarke. The blonde's eyes were wide in fear. Aleta didn't want to go back. Not after what they saw. Not after getting so far.

"We saw everything. We know what you're doing to them," Aleta said.

"That's why you're going in the harvest chamber with them," one of the guards responded. Aleta began to struggle in the guard's grasp, trying to get away. His grip turned deathly strong and he turned her to him.

"Stop, or I'll taze you," he threatened. He pulled her forward and began walking again.

They reached a door and one of the guards pushed a button on the padlock, pulling Clarke along with him. "Alpha-Delta Two, we've reached the intake. Two prisoners in custody," he said.

"Your mission was to bring back all three of them. The outsider cannot be allowed to leave this mountain. Alpha-Delta One is coming out now," a voice on the other end replied.

A scream could be heard and then Anya was jumping down for something and onto the guard holding Aleta. This knocked her to the ground too but she got up quickly. Clarke managed to pull off the mask of the guard holding her.

"His mask!" The blonde called to Anya who was fighting the other guard. Anya pulled his mask off. The two men began crying out in pain, struggling to breathe.

"I found a way out. This way," Anya informed them. Aleta began to run after Anya whilst Clarke grabbed one of the guard's gun and then followed behind. Aleta heard the door open and more guards run out of it.

Aleta was so tired of running but she knew she couldn't stop. The three rounded a corner and continued running. They slid to a stop when they got to an opening. Aleta looked down the cliff to see water below. "Holy shit," she said.

"Wait. There has to be another way," Clarke said.

"There isn't," Anya replied.

The guards came into view, weapons raised. "Just give up. You have no place else to go," one of them said.

Anya looked at Aleta and Clarke before jumping. "Anya!" Aleta and Clarke yelled after her.

"We don't have to kill you, guys. Do you hear me? It doesn't have to end like this. Drop your weapon," the man continued.

Aleta looked at Clarke who nodded before dropping the gun.

"Hands up," the guard said. The blonde looked at her friend, a glint in her eyes. She was gonna jump. Aleta could feel it. So she prepared herself to jump too. The two raised their hands up and walked forward.

"Take the prisoners," the guard told one of his comrades.

The two girls looked at each other before nodding and turning around. Aleta sprinted as fast as she could and jumped. For about a second, she felt as though she's flying. And then she began to plummet to the water below. Aleta kicked her legs wildly as she fell, fear coursing through her. The drop was a long one but it seemed to go by in seconds as she hit the water.

For a second, Aleta felt as though she couldn't move. And then she was kicking her legs in an attempt to swim up to the surface. She moved her arms and tried to get to the top. But she couldn't swim and struggled. She tried not to panic but her oxygen levels were diminishing. When she finally managed to reach the surface, she was pulled back under by the strong current.

Aleta flailed around in the water, turning every which way and trying to get back to the top. She didn't even know which way was up anymore. Aleta could barely see in the dark murky water and struggled to overcome the current. Her attempts were to no avail and it pushed her further down stream.

Aleta gasped and a flood of water entered her mouth. She had no more oxygen left. Her panic increased. She flailed and flapped around in the water, hoping that she was moving toward the surface. If she wasn't so frantic, she'd probably be crying by now. This was it. She had made it out of the mountain only to die.

She opened her eyes again and squinted, her head moving in many directions to see if she could see light. She just barely made out the surface and attempted to swim towards it again. She was moving maniacally, struggling to move. Her limbs were beginning to feel heavy.

When she made it to the surface she coughed up water, barely having enough time to take a breath before she was submerged again. Aleta wanted to scream. She held her breath for as long as she could as the current pushed her further and further away from where she once was.

She got to the surface again and struggled to stay afloat. Her limbs felt like lead and she was beginning to feel extremely tired. She looked around her in search of something to grab onto or for some kind of land. She could see the woods just ahead of her. But it was too far a swim and she didn't know how.

Aleta cried out, she could feel herself shutting down. She was so exhausted now. She tried to moving her body in a swimming motion towards the shore but she barely moved an inch. She felt heavy, her clothes starting to weigh her down. She wanted to give up but wouldn't let herself. I can make it. I can make it. Aleta made bigger motions to move towards the shore.

It was getting closer and closer in her vision. Almost there. The current continued to push her laterally and she fought it as best as she could. It moved her back a little and she fought against it, pushing towards the shore. Almost there. It was so close now, the rocks were visible. She was breathing heavily, her muscles ached. She powered through the pain.

Almost there.

The shore was so close that she reached out for it. She's so close. Almost there.

The current pushed her back underwater.
