"I'm sorry to interrupt Sophie, but who is he?" 

Sophie took her gaze of his ice blue eyes and onto the mystery stranger. 

Keefe didn't realize him but it seemed like Sophie did. The "stranger" had soft, brown hair, bright green eyes the color as healthy grass, at about the perfect height any girl could ask for. he seemed about Keefe's age, and a jock. probably a football player, or a hockey player. he also had big hands, not big big but mid. 

 Keefe wondered if he went to Foxfire as well, if he did then he would've probably seen him around... or not.

"Jake ! This is Keefe, you've probably heard of him. He goes to our school, Foxfire" Sophie said as she motioned keefe to smile. 

Ah, Jake. Most girls tried avoiding J names because they were a "red flag" but sit seemed like sophie didn't care. Sophie cared about personalities other than looks or names, but she had her limits. like Jensi, she was nice and helpful to him but she didn't have "feelings" for him.

Jake glanced over at Keefe before turning to Sophie and asked "nope. never heard of him. or seen him before, is he your friend?" 

Keefe already didn't like his overall vibe that Jake was giving off.  It seemed like... Jake wanted Sophie to himself. What'd he do to deserve her? At least be nice to her friends, that was a number one priority.

"Yea, this is Keefe! We've been best friends since we were little." Sophie smiled. 

Jake glared at him, raising his eyebrows before taking a seat next to Sophie. he seemed jealous and angry that keefe was Sophie's best friend. I mean who wouldn't ?

"Hi I'm Jake, Sophie's boyfriend." 

Sophie's eyebrows shot up before she turned and started glaring at Jake

"I thought we weren't telling anyone?" She asked him, crossing her arms over her chest. Keefe tried playing it cool but on the inside he was dying of laughter. sure Jake and Sophie made a good couple, but this ? this was a romantic, horror, comedy, action movie.

This was so funny, Sophie? Boyfriend ?? she shouldn't be having a boyfriend at this time of year, almost to college! She should be paying attention to her studies. Plus Sophie lying ?? that was her worst talent. Sophie as a kid could never, and he meant never lie. 

"about time, we've been dating for a week. that's pretty long" Jake smirked before turning to keefe, ignoring Sophie's glare. 

"ah, boy best friends are kind of my red flag so... time for you to leave blonde boy" Jake smugly smiled before waving his hands toward the door. Sophie smacked him on the arm.

"JAKE! that is one of my closest friends, don't talk to them like that!" 

Jake raised his eyebrows at her in disbelief. 

"you guys just made up, doesn't seem that close to me" Jake shrugged before stealing a bite of Sophie's ice cream, and then pecking her on the cheek. Keefe couldn't resist the cringe-fest, he was watching right now in front of him. And Sophie doing the couple-y cringy stuff was grossing Keefe out. 

"alright, heading out. have fun! remember jake-y Sophie hates people stealing her ice cream" Keefe smiled before leaving the parlor and heading home. keefe didn't dare turn back, the two were probably smooching or cuddling or whatever couples did.

As Keefe walked home in the sweet fall air, he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket.

fitz, keefe

"hello ?" 

"keefe! my man!!" 

"what do you want now fitz"

"so... you know how prom is a couple months away?"

"yup"

"well how bout you take Sophie ??"

"fitz what are you talking about. we're friends"

"we're just friends~"

"stop mimicking me."

"but seriously we are friends. we just made up today"

"she's just a friend guys!~"

"fitz,, what song are you singing this time."

"YOU SHOULD KNOW!! it's the show,, miraculous. you know, you're exactly like adrien"

"well both of you are blond, models, everybody loves you, daddy issues, your best friend love you, you secretly love her but always deny it." 

"oh shut up. so what do you want me to do for prom."

"Take Sophie to prom."

"Fitz, I'm serious no time for dares. she has a boyfriend."

"well they do have a pretty rocky relationship. That Jake guy is bad news, bro"

"you don't even know him"

"used to, best friends in kindergarten. worse decision. he punched me because I didn't give him a cookie." 

"and?"

"he might break up with her."

"fitz, that's going to break her heart."

"then you'll be there for her, if you don't do it then you date Biana. and I know thats your nightmare."

"fine. hanging up."
