MARA'S MISC: 

i don't even know how to summarize the effect that divorce had on me back in 2022.

now, i'm not a five hargreeves girl. i love his character, but just not like that. normally, i wouldn't have clicked on a five fic. however, at the time, charlie had another fanfic up that i liked (monster under my bed, if anyone remembers that) and since i loved her writing so much i decided to start reading divorce and see if it was any good.

to this day i still respect it so much. i probably sound crazy but genuinely this fanfic meant so much to younger mara, and i'll never forget how much fun i had reading it. for once, i started reading right when the book started, and it was so much fun popping up at every update, excited and ready to see what was next. 

when charlie starts updating for s4 you bet your ass i will be showing up, even though it's been so long and i've changed. finanna meant the world to be then and i HAVE to see my babies off one final time (even though s4 was an utter shit-show). 

the plot is great. while following the main events of tua starting in s2, the addition of five and inanna's romance really adds. i won't spoil anything, but inanna's story is truly an interesting addition to the already wonky plot that is the umbrella academy. inanna's whole story is better than the entire plot of tua4 if i'm being honest.

characters are EVEN better. despite all the books i've read, inanna hope will always be one of my favorite fanfic oc's. she adds to the chaos that is the hargreeves family and her dialogue never feels out of place in the moment or in general. inanna fits RIGHT into the show, sometimes i forget she's literally a character and not there. the character she adds to the group is just>>>>>>

anna (who, if you read the fic, you meet in s3) is also an extremely well written character. despite the way she gets on my nerves, she added so much depth to the s3 plot and to inanna's character. can't spoil much more about her.

inanna's friendship with the other characters is also so good!! charlie managed to make this girl have the best friendships/relationships with the hargreeves siblings. my favorite duos have to be inanna & diego, inanna & luther OR inanna & klaus 

do NOT get me started on finanna. five and inanna are my babies. don't care if they're technically older than me. i could say everything about them and it wouldn't be enough. i love how old married couple they are, even with their bits of tension within the story. they're just so>>>>>

charlie don't hurt them in s4 or istg

charlie's writing is so good, and even better now that she's beginning to re-write the older chapters. she knows how to capture serious and emotional moments but manages to add the sarcasm, humour, and chaos we all love about tua. 

this book was my favorite back when it came out and i'll love it forever.  i HIGHLY recommended checking it out and reading s2-s3 before s4 starts to update. if this book isn't for you, still go give bucksapocalypse a follow and check out her other fics.
