Avinash - Vaise Deepu bro, ghar mein na barkat tabhi hoti hai jab ghar ki laxmi khush ho!

Deepak just nodded while smiling to what SwarNash said and was somewhere eager to meet Karan but not as Mr. Mahajan this time, but as the father of the girl Karan loves. Deepak ensured in his mind that it is going to be tough for Karan to impress him because he doesn't want anything usual from Deepak. Karan desires to have the most special and beloved possession of Deepak, so he surely has to pass some tests.

The next morning, MoRan woke up with a nervous yet excited heart. The moment they got up, they immediately prayed to God to make things easier and happier in front of Dr. Mahajan. At Shergill house, everyone knew that today is Karan's 'agni pariksha' as he has to put great efforts to impress his to-be father-in-law.

At the breakfast table, when Karan arrived, everyone looked at him with teasing eyes.

Ranjeet - Karan, aaj tu ghar par hi hai beta?

Param - Arre, bhul gaye papa aap? Aaj to bhaisahab apne sasurji se milne jayenge. Mann mein to laddoo fut rahe honge, nahi?

All laughed hysterically at Karan's slightly red face and he too chuckled as he's never been this nervous and anxious in his life ever. He sat down for breakfast but only had a little bit of food which is noticed by both his mom and Bhabhi. After only 10 minutes of having a few bites of the poha, Karan excused himself and went back to his room.

Varsha - Ranjeet, aaj Karan bahut pareshan lag raha hai.

Barkha - Hanji mummyji, maanti hoon ki vo tensed hoga Monami ke father se milne ke liye, lekin usne kuchh khaya bhi nahi!

Param (casually) - Mom, Barkha..aap dono faltu mein tension le rahe ho. Aaj to uska nervous hona obvious hai. Sasur se milne pe kise tension nahi hoti. Aisa lagta hai jaise kisi hitler....

Param was about to complete his sentence when his gaze fell on Barkha and saw her throwing daggers at him through her eyes. He instantly realised how badly he pushed himself into this puddle and closed his eyes tight in regret. Ranjeet who witnessed this couldn't help but chuckled inaudibly as he's more experienced than Param, so he didn't let his feelings come out.

Param - Me..mera matlab tha ki, a..ki..

Barkha (gritting her teeth) - Yaha kisi ko nahi jaanna tumhara kya matlab tha. (In Param's ear) Room mein chalo tum, batati hoon tumhe kaun hitler hai aur kaun nahi!

Obvious Param's blood ran cold by Barkha's warning but to easen the things, Ranjeet thought to intervene and save his dear son.

Ranjeet - Barkha beta, tum Karan ki chinta mat karo. Abhi main aur Param usse jakar baat karte hain. Let us have a man to man talk!

Everyone agreed to what Ranjeet said and after finishing their breakfast hurriedly while worrying about Karan, Ranjeet stood up and saw Param still sitting and stuffing his mouth with the pancake that Baby left. So, Ranjeet went to Param and leaned onto his chair, near his ear.

Ranjeet (whispering in his ear) - Param, lagta hai tujhe sachme Barkha se hitler treatment chahiye! Uthh gadhe, nahi to main bhi nahi bacha paunga.

Upon Ranjeet's warning, Param hurriedly stood up from the dining table and rushed to Karan's room with Ranjeet, still having the pancake in his mouth. In Karan's room, when Ranjeet and Param entered, they were surprised to see Karan anxiously wandering in the room and trying to memorize something.

Ranjeet - Apne hone wale sasur ko rate hue answers se impress karega?

Param - Fir to de diya Dr. Mahajan ne Monami ka haath iske haath mein. Hn!

Karan wasn't surprised seeing Ranjeet and Param as he himself wanted to ask them how he can present himself as an ideal damaad in front of Dr. Mahajan. Karan sat on the bed with a thud and hid his face in both of his palms.

Karan - To aap dono hi batao main kya karu?! Badi muskhil se Monami ke papa mujhse officially milne ke liye taiyaar hue hain. Aur agar aaj shaam ko bhi maine kuchh gadbad kardi, fir to holi meri aur Monami ki shaadi!

Being disappointed, Karan again hung his head low and this time, instead of making fun of him, the father-son duo consoled Karan.

Param - Dekh chhote, tu bahot zyada soch raha hai. Jis tarah Monami aur tu ek dusre se pyaar karte ho, I'm sure ab tak to kahi na kahi Dr. Mahajan bhi samajh hi gaye honge ki tum dono ek dusre ke bina nahi reh sakte.

Ranjeet - Aur agar nahi samjhe honge, to aaj shaam ko jab tu unse milne jayega tab samjha diyo.

Karan - Main kuchh samjha nahi!

Param - Arre buddhu, matlab ye ki tu apne hone wale sasur ji ko apni baaton se impress kar na.

The exact same moment, Faizi entered who came here to encourage Karan for the special sort of date where he's going to be with his to-be Sasur ji. As Faizi knew that Karan might be getting anxious and tensed about it, he came and heard what Param said.

Faizi - Usi mein to ye janab kache hain, bhaiya! Aapko pata hai, Monami ko isse 'I love you' sunne ke liye bechari ko kitni mehnat karni padi. Aur kiss ke liye to...

Karan (interrupting him) - Bus kar Saand, sab yahi batayega kya?!

Both Ranjeet and Param understood where Faizi's words were leading, so not to embarass Karan anymore and to not to know more about their romantic life, they quickly shrugged off the topic.

Ranjeet - Achha hua Faizi tum aa gaye. Kuchh sikhao apne dost ko, sikhao ki jis ladki se pyaar karte ho uske baap se uska haath kaise maangte hain!

Faizi - Done, uncle! Mission Patao Sasurji it is!

Even Param agreed and the trio hi-fied each other while Karan just gave an 'are you serious' look to them and stood from the bed being irritated by all their giggles and laughters and went towards his cupboard. He stood in front of the cupboard, staring at all his clothes and being stared by the trio for this alien behaviour.

Ranjeet (whispering to Param) - Ye kar kya raha hai?

Param (whispering back) - Mainnu ki pata!

Faizi (whispering to both of them) - Inka ye non-insaani behaviour sirf inki Rani Sahiba samajh sakti hain!

Ranjeet and Param gave an amazed look to each other and asked Faizi to call her. Faizi went out of the room and called Monami and explained her whatever that happened and how tensed Karan is to meet her father.

Monami - Faizi, phone zara Karan ko dena.

Faizi - Haan, abhi dete hain.

Faizi kept the phone on speaker and kept it on the bed to surprise Karan by her voice.

Monami - Oye Khadoos Shergill!

Hearing her voice, the way Karan's lips instantly curved into a smile wasn't unnoticed by Ranjeet and Param. To search for her, he started looking here and there as if he has never seen her before. When Karan finally found that she's on the call, he held the phone in his hands so gently as if he's holding her and not the phone.

Karan - Monami?

Monami - Haan, main! Kisi aur ki call expect kar rahe thhe?

Karan - Nahi na yaar, tumhe hi yaad kar raha tha. Bahot zaroorat hai mujhe tumhari. Pata hai jabse tumne mujhe bataya hai ki tumhare papa ne mujhe milne bulaya hai, tabse tensed hoon. Pata hai, kal raat to soya bhi nahi main!

Param, Faizi and Ranjeet were amazed knowing that this guy who never even had the tiniest wrinkle of tension on his forehead for the deadliest mission claims that he couldn't sleep just because he has to meet his girlfriend's father. They so wanted to leave the room as none of them was interested in listening to lovey-dovey talks of a couple but were still listening to tease Karan later. ;)

Monami - Oh ho, meri jaan...itni tension? Mat lo itni tension, just take a deep breath kyuki sab kuchh bilkul theek hone wala hai.

Karan was about to say something when his gaze fell on the trio who were giving him teasing looks.

Ranjeet, Param & Faizi (in unison) - Meriiii jaaannnnn!

Both Karan and Monami blushed listening to their teasy tone and Monami was even surprised at their presence. Karan kept his hand on the speaker and said.

Karan - Kya kripya karke aap teeno mere kamre se bahar jaa sakte hain? (Sarcastically) Please?

The trio chuckled and were about to leave when Ranjeet turned to say something.

Ranjeet (teasing him) - Haan bhai, ab to bahurani aane wali hai, baap ko to kamre se bhaga hi diya jaega na! Theek hai bhai, theek hai!

Karan (whining) - Papaaaaa! Please na!

Ranjeet laughed and left the room leaving behind his children who were crimson red by now. Taking 5 minutes of getting back to normal, they again thought to resume their main topic i.e., Mission Patao Sasurji.

Monami - A..Karan, main kya kehti hoon, tumna zyada tension na lo, just be yourself! Agar tum papa ke saamne jhooth bologe ya apne-aap ko fake karoge, then Papa is going to be really upset. Ho sakta hai vo meri khushi ke liye haan bhi karde lekin jab tak vo dil se khush nahi honge, I'm sorry..but tab tak main shaadi nahi karungi!

Karan - Monami, I understand and respect it totally! Jab tak tumhare papa pure dil se tumhara haath mere haath mein denge, tabhi main shaadi karunga! Apne hone wale sasurji ko naraaz karke kaunsa damaad khush hota hai bhala?

Monami chuckled at Karan's words but also felt proud of her own choice who respects her decision and accepts it wholeheartedly.

Monami (smirking) - Very confident, Mr. Shergill..not bad, haan!

Karan - Confident to hona hi padega na, madam..aakhir Sasurji se jo baat karni hai!

Monami - Achha suno, tum kya pehenne wale ho aaj shaam ko?

Karan moved his head towards his opened cupboard and stood their thinking. Monami sighed in disbelief as she already knew that her boyfriend is so bad at choosing outfits.

Monami - Knew it, tumne socha hi nahi na tum kya pehnoge!

Karan sheepishly smiled and caressed his nape. Karan switched the voice call to a video call to show Monami his cupboard and mainly to see her angelic face.

Karan - Achha aap hi bata dijiye Rani Sahiba ki kya pehnu main.

Monami - Tum na, apni denim shirt pehen lena, jeans ke saath. Bade handsome and dashing lagte ho usme tum! Ek dum Hot Shergill, mere Mr. Hot Shergill!

Karan blushed profusely at Monami's words and looked aside for a second to stabilize his blushy self. Monami chuckled at his red face and herself became shy.

Karan (smirking) - Soch raha hoon abhi taiyaar ho jata hoon. Aap bhi saamne hain to...better rahega.

Saying so, Karan started unbuttoning his shirt and Monami immediately kept her hand on her eyes that grew wide seeing him undressing himself.

Monami - Nahi nahi nahi, call cut karke change karo na!

Monami immediately cut the call and Karan laughed hard at how Monami still gets shy and blushes despite of seeing him shirtless uncountable times. Getting boosted with confidence, Karan wasn't feeling anxious now and was confident enough that now no matter what, he'll impress his Sasurji.

On the other side at Mahajan Mansion, in Monami's room, she too somehow stopped herself from blushing from Karan's shameless acts. In a minute, she was called downstairs by her father and curiously, she entered his room only to see Deepak, Avinash and Swarna sitting on the bed, as if discussing something.

Monami - Papa, aapne bulaya tha?

Deepak - Haan beta, bulaya to tha. Main puchh raha tha ki vo tumhare Karan se kaha milna hai?

Monami (little hesitantly) - Um...ghar pe?

Swarna - Beta ghar par milna thoda jaldi nahi ho jaega? Abhi rishta pakka thode hi kar rahe hain hum.

Avinash - Arre lekin, rishta to pakka ho hi jaega na!

Deepak (immediately) - Nahi, aisa zaroori nahi hai! (While glaring Monami) Agar mujhe Karan pasand aaya to hi vo meri beti ka jeevansathi ban payega!

The stern determination mixed with love for his daughter somewhat made Monami a little scared but she immediately took a deep breath and filled her heart with confidence and trust on her love and her Karan.

Monami - A..papa, mujhe ek bahut achha family restaurant pata hai. I think vaha milna sahi rahega. (In mind) Vaise bhi, Karan is soon going to be a part of family!

The oldy trio agreed and went to get ready as all, Deepak, Avinash and Swarna were going to meet Karan along with Monami, so they went to get ready, leaving behind a lovesick Monami who was smiling with all the faith she has on the almighty.

Soon it was dawn, approx 6.30pm when the four of them i.e., Deepak, Avinash, Swarna & Monami left for the restaurant. As already informed by Monami about the venue, Karan sticking to his actual punctual nature, reached before time. The moment Monami entered with the trio, her lips automatically curved into a blushy smile as she saw Karan looking at her with absolute love. Swarna came from behind and smiled teasingly at her and felt actually happy for her.

Karan went ahead immediately and was about to bend down to touch Deepak's feet to take his blessings but Deepak immediately made him realise that it's too soon by stepping backwards. Though both Karan & Monami felt bad by this but Karan's determined smile didn't budge, being stubborn, he forwarded his hand to both the gentlemen for a handshake and greeted Swarna with a namaste and Monami with a wide, warm smile.

All five of them were now seated on their already booked table. With Deepak and Avinash on one side, Karan and Monami on the other and Swarna in between, they settled themselves.

Karan - Hi sir, thank you to give me a chance to formally meet you!

Deepak - Main sirf apni beti ki khushi ke liye aaya hoon, keep that in mind!

Karan and Monami shared a look after Deepak's statement but were resilient. To give Karan more power, from under the table, Monami slided her hand over his palm and blinked at him.

Karan - Well, yahi to hum dono chahte hain...Monami ki khushi!

Seeing Deepak raise his eyebrows at Karan and the situation turning heated a little too soon, Swarna and Avinash thought to intervene. As the soups and starters arrived, so did some casual questions from SwarNash.

Swarna - Beta, aap kabse army mein ho?

Karan - Ma'am, mujhe army mein kareeb 4 saal ho chuke hain.

Avinash - Woah, 4 years of fighting! Proud of you, young man!

Karan nodded his head with a smile to both Avinash and Swarna and realized it very well, that they are on their side of the panel and maybe now it'll be easier to convince Dr. Mahajan for their good alliance.

Within 15 minutes of more talking about random topics like career, family and some moments from MoRan's love story which seemed absolutely disinteresting to Deepak, the food arrived. As Karan was the early one to reach the restaurant, they all already guessed that he might have given the orders in advance. But Deepak was very surprised as not only he got his favourite dishes served but also, how Monami's salad and dishes don't have any tomato chunks, which she hates the most.
(Your writer hates tomatoes, esp their pieces!)

Creating a good impression on Deepak with his food choices for everyone, before eating, Karan preferred serving everyone first which silently told a told about ethics. To ease his work, Monami assisted him and indirectly displayed their compatibility to Deepak.

While having their food with slight talks and giggles, MoRan were stealing glances at eachother and without coming in any ones notice, they were also exchanging a few bites which seemed very adventurous to both of them. When they had completed their dinner, Karan knew that Monami must be craving for some dessert but couldn't call for it as he knows that this restaurant isn't good with desserts and it sort of disappointed him.

Deepak looked towards Swarna and told her something threw his eyes and she nodded back at him.

Swarna - Monami, beta..ice-cream khayegi?

Monami looked around at her people and nodded slightly at her which made both Deepak and Karan smile at her having a sweet tooth. But when Swarna asked her to come along, she kept sitting as she knows that right now, her priority is her Khadoos Shergill and not the icecream.

Monami - A..aunty, um...baad mein chalte hain na.

Avinash - Kyu beta? Jaa na...tujhe to meetha kitna pasand hai.

Monami - Haan uncle, pasand to hai magar...(Looking at Karan) Shayad yaha meri zyada zaroorat hai.

Avinash (chuckling) - Beta tu to aise keh rahi hai jaise tu jaegi to hum tere Karan ko kha jaenge. Tu befikr jaa, tera Karan bilkul safe hai humare saath.

Both Deepak and Avinash laughed at Avinash's words but to MoRan, his words seemed witty and mysterious.

Deepak - Monami, tum Swarna ke saath jao. (Glaring at Karan) We need to have some man to man talk!

Both Karan and Monami were now nervous now. Unwillingly, Monami went along with Swarna but not before looking at Karan once and assuring him through her eyes. As Monami disappeared from his sight, Karan kept looking at her direction when Deepak thumped his hand on the table to draw Karan's attention.

Deepak - To..kuchh serious baat karle?

Karan nodded confidently but only he knew how fast is heart is beating. This is the only chance he has to woo Deepak by his words and assure him that he'll keep his daughter happy and loved all her life and can do anything for her, which is actually true.

Deepak - So, how many girlfriends have you had in the past?

Karan was stunned with this question. He never expected that such questions would be thrown at him during such a meet. Karan again looked in front of him but looking at the way Deepak and Avinash were waiting for an answer, he got that they seriously need an answer to this.

Karan - Sir, meri pehle kabhi koi girlfriend nahi rahi. Monami hi meri ek lauti girlfriend hai. She's the very first girl I've loved in my whole life!

Avinash (raising an eyebrow) - Kya? Sachme? Dikhne mein achhe ho..aisa to ho hi nahi sakta ki kabhi koi girlfriend na rahi ho.

Karan - Actually sir, bachpan mein all boys school mein padha fir army college and then, army training...to kabhi time hi nahi mila inn sab cheezon ke liye.

Both the men, Deepak and Avinash chuckled hard at this explanation by Karan and somewhat believed what he said due to the shyness and honesty in his eyes.

Avinash - Vaise Karan, mujhe jaanna tha..why only army? Achha bhala physique hai tumhara, modelling hi kar lete yaar. Haha!

Karan (little shyly) - Um..I'll take it as a compliment, so thank you sir. Aur army join karne ka reason to bus yahi tha ki I wanted to serve my country just like my dad & my brother did. Apne apno ko proud feel karana tha aur apne desh ki seva karni thi, bus isliye I chose army above anything else!

Deepak (immediately after Karan completed) - Matlab army or tumhari duty tumhari first priority hai...above than Monami na?

Karan's forehead straightened as Deepak mentioned about Monami & indirectly wanted to know what he will choose in between his duty, which is her pride and Monami who's his everything, his love. 

Karan - Sir, sach-sach keh raha hoon aur aapse kuchh chhupaana bhi nahi chahta, meri duty mera imaan, mera dharm or mera guroor hai lekin Monami mera pyaar, meri izzat or meri dhadkan hai...Monami ko upar rakha to zinda mar jaunga, lekin agar duty ko prioritise kiya to Monami ke bina jee kar bhi kya hi karunga? It's as simple as that, sir!

Deepak & Avinash were actually impressed by Karan's excellent answer to Deepak's twisted question. Deepak thought that as Karan is sitting in front of the father of the girl he loves, he might just lie that he'll prioritize Monami over anything all his life but to his surprise, Agent Shergill never lies and told the truth. Neither his duty, nor Monami, he can't compromise with any of them!

 Deepak (in mind) - Maine jitna socha tha ye usse kayi zyada samajhdar hai! I'm impressed by his determination & professionalism lekin iske andar ke actual mard ko bhi to pehechanna zaroori hai. 

All the while Deepak was thinking so, Avinash continued talking to Karan and exchanged a few light-hearted statements with him.

Avinash - Vaise beta, tum kamate kitna ho? I know I shouldn't ask a man his income but ladkiwale hain bhai, tehkikaat to karni padegi na.

Karan - Bilkul sir, haq hai aapka! Exact numbers batana thoda odd ho jayega, nahi? But aap befikr rahiye..humare achhe future mein koi kami nahi hogi.

Avinash smiled at Karan and Karan was also somewhat getting that Avinash isn't some hard nut to crack. Though Karan was answering Avinash, but he saw the way Deepak was staring at him and his gut feeling could tell that he's about to throw a googly at him to get him clean bowled. 

Deepak (being straight-forward) - Achha, ek baat batao...Sunny Leone ya Mallika Sherawat?

This was a bomb that had blasted on Karan! Never ever in his life he had expected to hear such a question from Monami's father. His face went expressionless, but his enlarged eyeballs and low hung jaw could easily tell how much embarrassed and shocked he's after being asked such a question. Seeing both the men having a smirk on their face, Karan understood that he cannot dodge this question and whether willingly or unwillingly, he has to answer them. 

Karan (in mind) - Ye kaisa sawaal hai?! Is Dr. Mahajan fine? Bhoot-voot to nahi ghus gaya inke andar?! Maine to inhe kitna classy or sophisticated samjha tha lekin ye to kya chhichhore nikle, hey bhagwaan! Ab beta Karan, tu chahe ya na chahe jawaab to dena padega. Oh god, main kya jawaab du ab inhe?!

Avinash - Kya hua beta? Jawaab do!

Karan (being embarassed) - A..haan haan, sir. I..I..think, Su..Sunny Le..one..maybe!

Karan's cheeks started heating up and turned red as he was so shy to even utter this answer thinking what Deepak & Avinash would think about him. But to his surprise, they looked at each other and let out a small laughter.

Deepak (smirking) - Hm..good choice, by the way!

Yet again, Deepak surprised Karan with his words and behavior. Karan let out a deep breath and wiped off the sweat beads that came on his forehead during this particular question. Deepak had again masked his face with that stern look and now Karan could taste his own medicine and know how his cadets would feel seeing him laughing one minute and then being stern the next. Deepak straighten his demeanor and Karan too cleared his throat knowing something serious is about to come. 

Deepak - Agar main tumhari aur Monami ki shaadi ke liye maan gaya to will you accept if she says no to have kids?

Both Avinash and Karan were a little taken aback by this question as to them, it's very awkward to ask but Deepak being Deepak , didn't hesitate and just went for it. Karan inhaled a deep breath and was ready to answer it truthfully.

Karan - Sir, Monami mera sach kuchh hai, main bhi chahta hoon ki humare pyaar ki ek nishaani ho, humari apni khudki family ho aage. But if she says no to kids or to anything else, I know how to respect her decision! It's her body after all. Main usse uske saare dard churana chahta hoon but aapko bhi pata hai, it's practically impossible! So, ya...uska faisla hi mera faisla hoga!

This has made a great impression on Deepak. A guy who respects his daughter and her decision is all what a girl dad needs. He himself understood how awkward it must've been for Karan to answer such a question but the way he didn't hesitate and shy away from keeping Monami in the front, made Deepak internally happy.

Deepak - Okay, answer this question with extreme honesty! (Karan nodded) Itna to main samajh gaya ki tum na to apni duty or na hi meri beti, inn dono mein se kisi ek ko nahi chun sakte lekin sachme kitna pyaar karte ho tum meri beti se? Bachpan se hi vo ek nuclear family mein rahi hai, uske ek ishaare par sab haazir hua hai, joint family ki aadat nahi hai use..kya Monami ke liye apni family se alag reh loge?

This was something unexpected to Karan. Him and Monami never ever thought about it because they never felt like discussing so. Karan's heart thumped thinking of this question but as much as he understood Monami, he knows what to answer.

Karan - Jaanta hoon sir, sab jaanta hoon ki kitne naazon se pali hai Monami apne ghar mein. But that doesn't mean ki use humare ghar par pyaar nahi milega. Jaise meri Bhabhi ko beti banakar rakha jaata hai, same way Monami bhi uss ghar ki beti hi banegi! Pyaar to usse itna karta hoon ki shayad infinity ke digits bhi chhote pad jaye. Lekin Monami bhi mujhse utna hi pyaar karti hai aur janti hai ki meri family mere liye kitni important hai. Monami se pehle unhone mujhe support kiya hai, I can't leave them and I'm 101% sure ki Monami bhi kabhi ye nahi chahegi ki hum family se alag rahe! Family ki importance samajhti hai vo!

Deepak - Lagta hai bahot achhe se jaan gaye ho meri beti ko. Itna jaan hi gaye ho to ek baat aur jaan lo, meri beti mera sab kuchh hai. Jaanta hoon ki usko doubt karke usko bahot hurt kiya hai maine, lekin uske bhale ke liye hi. Main Monami ke aankho mein ek bhi aansu nahi dekh sakta lekin vo tumse shaadi karne ki zidd pakde baithi hai, tum khud batao main kya karu. Uska dil rakhkar uski shaadi tum jaise insaan se karadu jiski life ki koi guarantee nahi hai?!

By the end of his question, Deepak's tone turned slightly harsh which Avinash thought that it might offend Karan but to both of their surprise, Karan's constant small smile didn't vanish. Instead, a wide contagious one spread across his lips which seemed more like Special Agent Karan Shergill special smirk.

Karan (smirking) - Please don't mind sir, lekin kya Monami ki khushiyon ko maarkar aap sukoon se jee lenge?!

Now here the commando attacked the right spot. Deepak was taken aback when the table turned, and he was asked this crucial question whose answers is very obvious. The slightly scared look on Deepak's face was very prominent and Karan continued speaking after he got happy seeing that look. 

Karan (continuing) - Agar aap Monami ki aankhon mein ek bhi aansu nahi dekh sakte to main uss insaan ko zinda nahi dekh sakta jiski wajeh se meri Monami ke aankho mein aansu aaye ho. Karan's words were actually affecting Deepak as he was right that Monami never ever was concerned about what will happen if something happens to Karan, showing the amount of faith she has on their love. Deepak gulped down the lump that formed in his throat listening to the commando's intimidating voice that turned sweet the next second.

Avinash - Beta, we respect your feelings lekin Monami ke bade hone ke naate humara farz hai ki hum use ek aisa saathi lakar de jo humesha uske saath ho. Sorry lekin agar kal ko..tumhe...

Avinash was very hesitant to complete the whole statement as he never wants such bad happening to take place with anyone, let alone Karan. His and Deepak's fear was somewhat justified and obvious as they would never want their girl to marry someone who's completely devoted towards the country.

Karan - I get you sir, ek commando ki life ka koi bharosa nahi hota, iss pal hai..agle pal nahi. Lekin sir..Monami ne ek fauji se pyaar kiya hai, uski duty se pyaar kiya aur uski vardi se bhi pyaar kiya hai. Sach kahu to maine bhi uss Monami se pyaar kiya hai jo uss Monami se bilkul alag hai jise aap jaante hain. (Dreamily) Meri Monami nidar hai, samajhdar hai magar abhi bhi bachi hai! Meri Monami agar samajhna jaanti hai to samjhaana bhi jaanti hai! Meri Monami apne sapno ko lekar bahot determined hai aur meri Monami khud ek fauji banne wali hai! Bhala jis ladki ki rago mein ek fauji ka khoon daudta ho, kya vo kabhi mushkilon se ghabra sakti hai?! (Looking at Deepak) Sir, hogi aapki Monami shy and scared lekin meri Rani Sahiba sherni hai!

Karan's words of love and devotion towards Monami softened Deepak's eyes & made Avinash also smile wide. Somewhere, Deepak's heart was getting convinced from Karan. Karan was right, Monami is completely different when she's around Karan. She smiles differently, she glows differently and the comfort she has with him is also completely different. Being a commando, Karan could see that his words made Deepak go into deep thinking and contest his decision.

Karan - Sir, I don't think main isse better aapko convince kar paunga ya nahi, lekin bus ye aakhri baat kehna chahta hoon ki...main Monami se bahot pyaar karta hoon, aapse zyada to nahi..lekin usse kam bhi nahi! I assure you, Monami ko kabhi hurt nahi karunga and I'll be with her in every situation of her life! Main use Rani Sahiba aise hi nahi kehta...she will be my queen for the rest of my life and for all the coming lives! (Standing up) Will you please allow me to be with your daughter till my last breath? Can you please allow me to be her husband?

Deepak and Avinash too stood up as Karan proposed his desire in front of his girlfriend's father. The charming smile on Karan's face and those love-filled pleading eyes were actually melting Deepak. Actually, the moment Deepak understood how much Karan respects and loves Monami, the father in Dr. Deepak Mahajan got very much convinced that the man in front of him will be the ideal life partner for his daughter! 

Avinash looked at those two men who were staring at each other and very well knew what's going on in his brother like best friend's mind. The emotional spark in Deepak's eyes wad answering Karan's questions already very much but this time he needed a full permission from Deepak to make Monami his wife. While the men still stood silent, Swarna & Monami, who was hurrying to go in came inside the restaurant with ice-creams for everyone. Monami was very much surprised by the smile that lingered on both Deepak & Karan's face. 

Swarna - Avinash, yaha..kya hua?

Avinash (very casually) - Mujhe to kuchh nahi pata. Jo puchhna hai inn Sasur-Damad, a..I mean..Deepu se hi puchhlo!

Both Monami & Karan looked at each other and when Monami saw that wide smile on his face, she got a slight idea that maybe her Agent Shergill got successful in this mission too. But not having any high expectations, she looked towards her father whose eyes were slightly wet and he looked towards Monami with adoration. Not wanting to decode any emotion anymore, Monami went ahead and stood between Deepak and Karan and looked at both of them one by one. 

Monami (nervously) - Papa, a..aapko Karan pasand aaya kya?

Deepak (caressing Monami's hair) - Pata hai beta, har baap chahta hai ki uski beti ek aise ghar jaye jaha use bahu nahi beti banakar rakha jaye. Vo ek aise ladke se shaadi kare jo use uske baap se bhi zyada pyaar kare. Main khud surprised hoon ki main ye keh raha hoon but I think...Karan ke jitna tumhe koi pyaar nahi kar sakta! He's the perfect guy for you!

Both Monami & Karan's eyes grew wide and Avinash & Swarna's lips curved into a wide smile. Seeing this surprised reaction from MoRan, Deepak held his daughter's face between his palms and nodded in a yes with a wide smile but slight tears in eyes. 

Karan (in surprise) - Sir..kya aap sachme..humari shaadi ke liye..

Deepak (faking anger) - I'm sorry but main iske jaise ladke ko apni beti nahi de sakta!

MoRan (in shock) - KYU?!

Deepak (smiling wide) - Jo ladka apni hone wale sasur ko 'sir' bole..kaise de du bhala use apni beti?

All the four of them laughed at Deepak's words and Monami & Karan both hugged Deepak tightly being grateful for accepting their love. Both Monami & Karan had slight tears in their eyes as they never knew that this day when their love will be accepted, would come so early. Without hesitation, they embraced each other in a soft hold that just made the trio adore them. As they parted from the hug, Karan bent down to take Deepak's blessings by touching his feet but Deepak held him by his shoulders and just hugged him tight. 

Deepak - Karan, past mein humare equations achhe nahi thhe, lekin tum to itne dheet nikle ki mujhe mana hi liya. Ab zara kal apni family ko humare ghar le aana, main bhi to apne hone wale samdhi-samdhan se officially mil lu!

All laughed at Deepak being humorous and Karan then took blessings from Swarna & Avinash too. Both Karan & Monami looked at each other with wide smiles as they finally accomplished what they wanted. Though it was hard to believe that Deepak is happy with Karan and Monami being together but he's actually happy as his daughter got the best man a woman could ever get.

Deepak was feeling proud of himself as he handed his daughter to such a gentleman and knew that today his wife Juhi would be immensely proud of him. Seeing him being emotional, Avinash kept his hand on Deepak's shoulder and gave him the much needed support.

Soon Karan & Monami hugged each other again and found their happiness in eachother. Monami looked at Karan and found him already staring at her with those heart shape, love filled eyes and she couldn't help and just blush due to the immense happiness.
