Finally, after a ride full of romantic conversations...MoRan finally reached Karan's house.

A beautiful, lavish yet medium size house could be seen there with the name plate reading 'Shergill house'.

Both Monami and Karan descended from the car and stood noticing the house. Karan's eyes twinkled and his smile grew wider as he was getting extremely happy as he's going to introduce his fiance to his family, officially. But on the other side, Monami's heart thumped as she stood in front of Shergill house. She was getting extremely nervous & sweat beads started to form on her forehead which weren't unnoticed by Karan. 

Karan - Monami, kya ho gaya? Itni ghabrayi hui kyu lag rahi ho?

Monami - Karan, tumhari Dadiji mujhe pasand to karlengi na?

Karan - Meri Rani Sahiba hai hi aisi ki koi napasand kar hi nahi sakta?

Monami smiled confidently and her smile grew more wider when her Khadoos Shergill placed a soulful kiss on her forehead.

Pagle se dil ne
Yeh kya kiya

Karan (forwarding his hand) - Chalein?

Monami (keeping her hand on his hand) - Chalo!

MoRan proceeded towards the main gate with hand-in-hand and as Karan pressed the bell, Monami's heart again started to race faster. It's obvious for a girl to feel nervous while meeting her in-laws for the first time. Despite of Karan's constant support, Monami was feeling nervous, but one thing was absolutely clear to her that no matter what, her Karan is always there for her!

As Barkha heard the doorbell, she went running in happiness & excitement and hurriedly opened the door. She adoringly looked at Monami & Karan and blessed them mentally. 

Karan (while blushing) - Bhabhi, ye Monami!

Barkha - Haan haan, Karan. Dikh rahi hai teri Monami! 

Monami too blushed slightly upon hearing 'teri Monami' and bent to touch Barkha's feet, but Barkha stopped her.

Aasman mein badalon ke sang
Yeh toh machal machal ke
Ga raha hai sun nahi si dhun

Barkha - Arre arre, rehne do Monami. Pehle andar aao aur haan, right leg pehle rakhna!

MoRan nodded and entered the house while keeping their right legs first. As they entered, they were quite fascinated to see that the whole house was minimally decorated for someone special's arrival. The hall was beautifully decorated with fairy lights hung from one corner of the wall to the other. Also, the whole room was freshly scented and the freshly placed flowers in the vase were spreading their fragrance all over the place. Barkha was observing MoRan's antics of noticing the decorations and got mentally happy.

Barkha - Pasand aayi decorations?

Karan - Ye sab karne ki kya zaroorat thi, bhabhi?

Barkha - Arre..aise kaise 'zaroorat nahi thi'?! Aakhir aaj koi bahot khaas jo aane wala tha!

Monami blushed as she knew the reason behind all these efforts of Barkha and was getting relaxed mentally. Karan got very happy as atleast one member of his family has accepted Monami.

Karan - Bhabhi, sab log kaha hai? Bhaiya, Baby, Dadiji koi kahi dikhai kyu nahi de raha?

Barkha - Maine kaha to tha neeche aane ke liye. Main bula kar lati hoon, tab-tak tum dono baitho.

Monami & Karan nodded and were still standing. Barkha was about to climb the stairs but turned and looked at MoRan once.

Barkha - Vaise...behtar hoga abhi ke liye tum dono zara ye haath-vaath na pakdo. Karan, you know the reason!

Karan nodded and immediately left Monami's hand making her shocked. Barkha went up the stairs and here, Monami panicked wanting to know the reason behind Barkha's words.

Monami (panicking) - Karan, Karan! Bhabhi ne aisa kyu kaha ki haath chhod do?! Unhe to mai..main pasand hoon na!?

Karan was actually very shocked to see Monami's condition and instantly pulled her in his embrace and started rubbing her back.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, don't worry! Bhabhi ko tum sach mein pasand ho. Bhabhi ne aisa isliye kaha kyuki maine bataya tha na ki Dadiji mere ko lekar thodi over-possessive hain. Aur ho sakta hai vo tumse thode rude or hard questions karein. Lekin itna zaroor kahunga ki unka intention galat nahi hoga. She just wants the best for me, which is you! Bus aur kuchh nahi!

Monami - Bus yahi na Karan?

Karan - Haan meri jaan, bus yahi!

Monami smiled and quickly pecked his cheek as she heard some footsteps coming towards them. They could see Karan's dadiji i.e., Suhasini Shergill coming down the stairs maintaining her all time arrogant & classy aura and rude expressions on face. She was followed by Barkha, Param & Baby who waved her hand at her and Monami waved at her back.

As soon Suhasini was coming down, Monami thought that she'd come and initiate with her. But to MoRan & ParKha's disappoint, she went to Karan and caressed his cheek.

Suhasini - Aa gaya humara bacha?

Karan - Ji dadiji, isse miliye ye hain Monami! Mera pyaar, meri zindagi, mera sab kuchh!

Suhasini turned arrogantly towards her & scanned her through eyes from top to bottom making Monami scared. Monami immediately bent down and touched her feet. Suhasini smiled a bit and placed her palm on her head.

Suhasini - To tum ho Monami?

Monami - Ji dadiji, main hi hoon Monami!

Suhasini - Hmm...kafi suna hai tumhare baare mein apne pote se. Chalo baitho!

Everyone sat down on the couch. Param knew Monami since quite a while and knows that she's not someone who can stay quiet for long. He looked towards her & sensed her fear and discomfort. Monami was roaming her eyes through every corner of the house and her eyes met Param's. He blinked assuring at her & she happily blinked back at him. This eye talk wasn't unnoticed by Barkha & Karan, and they were actually happy seeing this growing bro-sis relation between a Cadet and her trainer.

Suhasini - Barkha, jao sabke liye chai le aao.

Barkha - Ji!

She was about to leave towards the kitchen but was stopped by Monami's voice.

Monami - Rukiye bhabhi, main bhi aati hoon.

Suhasini - Nahi, tum rehne do...Barkha le aayegi! Tab tak hum kuchh batein kar lete hain.

Baby sensed that her to be chachi is actually very scared and decided to jump in between the conversation.

Baby - Offo badi dadi, aapki baatein to hoti rahengi. Pehle Dr. Girl mere saath mere room mein chalkar khelengi.

Suhasini - Magar, baby...

Param (interrupting in between) - Haan haan Baby, le jao!

Having Param's permission, Baby dragged Monami towards her room and here in the living room, Suhasini was surprised seeing Param being fine with Baby being with an outsider. But little did she know, Monami has already made space in their hearts.

Suhasini - Param, kyu bhej diya Baby ko Monami ke saath?! Anjaan insaan ke saath bacho ko nahi chhoda jata, kab samjhoge tum ye?

Param (sternly) - Dadiji, Monami koi anjaan nahi hai. I can trust Monami with Baby! Infact, Barkha ne mujhe bataya tha ki ek baar Baby ko asthma attack pada aur Monami ne hi uski jaan bachai thi!

Barkha who heard everything while coming from the kitchen, holding a tray of tea & snacks, too decided to take stand for Monami.

Kaandhe pe sar rakh ke tere kat jaaye raat re
Beetenge din thaame tere haathon me haath re

Barkha - Ji dadiji, hum sabko to Monami ka shukraguzar hona chahiye, humari Baby ki jaan bachane ke liye. Aur Baby ki chhodo, (pointing towards Karan) ye jo aapka pota aaj itne haste-khelte hum sabse baatein karta hai na, vo bhi sirf Monami ki wajeh se. Varna Param ke jaane ke baad to jaise Karan jeena hi bhool gaya tha!

Suhasini (surprised) - Kya vo Monami itni pyaari hai tum sabko ki aaj tum sab humein sikha rahe ho?! Karan, agar humne Monami ko apni Bahu swikarne se mana kar diya to?

ParKha & Karan were definitely surprised by what Suhasini said. Karan can't even imagine to be away from his love, but can't even go against his family.

Karan (with a wet voice) - Dadiji, Do baatein! (Suhasini raised her fingers) Pehli, Monami jis kism ki insaan hai na ye pehchane ke baad to aisa ho hi nahi sakta ki aap use pasand na karein. Aur dusri...agar aapne Monami ko apnane se mana kar diya to...

Suhasini (smirking) - To?

Ye kya hua mujhe, mera ye dil phisal phisal gaya
Ye kya hua mujhe, mera ye jahaan badal badal gaya

Karan (with a deep sigh) - Main Monami se shaadi to nahi karunga magar usse pyaar karna bhi nahi chhodunga! Aur...agar Monami iss ghar ki chhoti bahu nahi bani to...koi aur bhi nahi banegi!

Saying so, Karan left towards Baby's room leaving behind proud ParKha & shocked Suhasini.

On the other side, in Baby's room, Monami was sitting inside the tent with Baby in her lap. Baby was showing Monami her toys but she was just absent mindedly nodding.

Baby - Dr. Girl, aap kaha khoye hue ho?

Monami - Ka..kahi nahi baby.

Baby - Dr. Girl, lagta hai aap bhool Gaye ki main ek 'old soul' hoon. I know aap badi dadi ko lekar tension mein ho na.

A tensed frown again came on Monami's forehead and she just simply nodded.

Baby - Ek secret batau?

Baby signalled Monami to come closer and Monami obeyed her.

Baby (in Monami's ear) - Badi dadi sirf dikhne mein strict hain, varna to vo bahut cute hain.

Monami - Baby, ho sakta hai ki vo bahut achhi ho, magar...

Karan (entering Baby's room) - Magar kya, Rani Sahiba?

Monami - Magar.. mujhe aisa lagta hai ki vo mujhe bilkul pasand nahi kar rahi hain.

Karan kept his hands on Monami's shivering ones and gave her the much needed assurity.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, ab to vo aapko 101% accept karengi.

Monami (surprised) - Kaise?!

Karan - Unhone humare beech ka pyaar already dekh liya hai! Abhi dekhna thodi der mein upar aayengi aur tumse mere baare mein kuchh sawaal karengi. Unhone Barkha bhabhi ke saath bhi aisa hi kiya tha. Now, don't worry!

Monami smiled slightly and MoRan along with Baby again got indulged in playing. As Karan said, after 10 minutes everyone i.e. Suhasini & ParKha came up to Baby's room and smiled seeing the three having a good play time.

Suhasini (sternly) - Saare mard aur bache bahar! Hume Monami se kuchh baat karni hai.

Monami, who was not used to this tone got scared and held Karan's hand who got up to leave. He blinked assuringly to her and left with Param.

Suhasini (eyeing to Baby who was still sitting) - Bache bhi!

Baby frowned and left.

Suhasini - Tumhara pura naam kya hai aur kya karti ho?

Monami - Ji, mera naam Dr. Monami Mahajan hai. Main ek cardiologist or general surgeon hoon. Aur abhi Parakram SAF mein ek commando banne ki training le rahi hoon.

Suhasini - Achha! Kaun-kaun hai tumhare ghar mein?

Monami - Mere ghar mein...mere papa hain, mera bestfriend Sid bhi humare saath hi rehta hai aur uske parents bhi. Actually, mere papa aur uske papa bestfriends thhe, to hum sab saath hi rehte hain.

Suhasini - Aur tumhari maa?

Monami (with slightly wet eyes) - Vo..vo, desh ke liye ladte waqt Shaheed ho gayi thi!

Suhasini - Oh, hume maaf karna! Vaise tum humare pote ko kyu pasand karti ho? Aur shaadi kyu karna chahti ho usse? Kisi aur se bhi to kar sakti ho!

Both Monami and Barkha were surprised by this question but Monami smiled confidently.

Monami - Dadiji, aapka pota vo insaan hai jisne shayad meri black & white zindagi mein rang bhare hain. Mujhe confidence diya, support diya, apne liye stand lene ka hausla diya! Karan ko main pehle kuchh khaas pasand nahi karti thi lekin ab...ab to vo meri jaan ban chuka hai, dadiji! Uske bina ek pal bhi guzarna manzoor nahi hai! Ho sakta hai ki mujhe uske kuchh likes-dislikes abhi pata na ho, lekin itna zaroor pata hai ki use kab kya chahiye aur vo kis situation mein kaise react karega ya fir vo kab takleef mein hai ye zaroor pata hota hai!

Barkha & Suhasini smiled contentedly hearing Monami's words. Barkha kept her hand on her cheek and caressed it sweetly.

Barkha - Kaha tha na dadiji, Monami se behtar humare Karan ke liye koi ho hi nahi sakta. Aapka kya faisla hai, dadiji?

Monami looked at Suhasini with eyes filled with hope. She was mentally praying for a positive reply from Suhasini.

Monami (with disheartened eyes) - Dadiji, main aapko pasand nahi aayi kya?

Suhasini smiled widely and kissed Monami's forehead lovingly & with this, Monami got her answer.

 Suhasini signalled Barkha and she went out to call others in the room. Outside Baby's room, Karan was walking to & fro in the veranda outside while Baby being in Param's arms was just making fun of his antics. As soon as Barkha came out, Karan started bombarding her with his questions.

Param - Karan! Bolne to de Barkha ko.

Karan (tensely) - Oh haan, batao na Bhabhi...kya decision hai Dadiji ka?!

Barkha (with a teasy smile) - Aapka bulava aaya hai, Devarji! Chalo sab andar.

As instructed by Barkha, one by one Param, Baby & Karan entered. Karan was mentally biting his nails in nervousness but upon seeing Monami & Suhasini smiling & talking, he found some sort of peace occupying his heart.

Param (doing overacting) - Aapne bulaya dadiji? Koi kaam tha?

Suhasini (sternly) - Haan, khaskar Karan ko bulaya hai. Aao baitho!

Param and Baby sat on the bed while Karan hesitantly sat beside Monami. Karan asked Barkha through eyes about the matter, but she just shrugged her shoulders while stifling her laughter. Karan then averted his gaze towards Monami who was constantly looking down & avoiding any eye contact with Karan.  

Karan (in mind) - Hey bhagwan! Pata nahi kya kaha hai dadiji ne Monami ko? I hope sahi hi ho sab!
