Min Yoongi's POV

I rushed back to my room and pondered what I had done a few minutes ago. It felt awkward to me, and her scent prompted me to encircle my hands around her, which serenified me. Her fragrance was not the typical perfume seen in retail outlets, but rather a hint of something else added to it that I couldn't describe.

To derail myself from those thoughts, I immersed myself in gathering details about Min Woo's assets that needed to be divided between him and his wife. The sudden creak of the door made me look up to find Hoseok entering the room without knocking.

"Why did you enter without knocking, and why are you still awake?" I asked him, and he rushed towards me to snatch off my reading glasses from my face.

"That's not important now," he replied tersely.

"What if I was naked when you barged in?" I questioned him by folding my hands.

"Stop with your wild thoughts, Yoongi," he said. His gaze flickered from my phone to mine, with a mix of concern and curiosity in his eyes.

"Who called you back, and why do I sense you're troubled? Answer me and don't dodge the question."

"It's Min Woo."

"What did he say?"

"He threatened me to give up the divorce case, or else..."

"Yoongi, continue. Why did you stop in between?"

"He said he would kill me."

"So, you gave him your address? That's not how you solve the problem!" he yelled, pacing back and forth.

"Even if I didn't give my address, he would find out somehow. I'm not backing down. I took this case to fight for his wife, he's scared most of the assets will go to her wife, Eun Ae because she paid two-thirds of the down payment for their house, and he hooks up with other women," I said, pulling the cabinet and taking out the pictures of Min Woo with other women in the bar.

"What if he does something? I am worried about you, Yoongi. To help me, you left your previous firm. We are not well-established like the previous one you worked for, yet you chose to be with me," Hoseok said, plopping on the bed.

"Don't feel bad. It's my choice to work with you. It's interesting to start from scratch and deal with these people. Every job has its difficulties. Now you go to your room and get some sleep," I said, pushing him out of my room.

I gazed at the glass door and moved towards it, running my fingers over the frigid window. I discovered snowflakes gently dusting the trees and rooftops. I slid the door open and let the coolness envelop me.

Leaning against the wall in the distance, the streetlight intermittently blazed a dim amber light in which crystallized snowflakes drifted in the air and were visible as they gently laid on the pavement.

Hoseok carries a burden of guilt whenever I encounter work-related troubles, believing that my career might have taken a different, possibly more successful path if I had not joined his firm. We first crossed paths years ago when I was searching for a part-time teaching job in piano and guitar, and he was already a dance instructor at the same studio. We got to know that we both were pursuing law and became friends.

When he proposed the offer to be a partner in his firm, I accepted it, knowing the challenges we needed to face to build the firm. I wish he would not worry about me.

What bothered me was my mother's concern about me. She wanted me to follow her path as a high school teacher and did not want me to struggle. When I opted for a law course behind her back, she became outraged. I vividly remember the day she confronted me, bleeding as she shattered a glass vase in a fit of anger, knowing I had tried to hide. She had always wanted me to obey her words, never hearing my opinion or considering my happiness. I sighed upon hearing a knock on the door.

Don't come in.

Upon hearing Soo Ah's voice, I opened the door and indicated for her to enter. She passed the scarf and maintained her distance from me.

"Are you not asleep yet?" I asked her.

"No, I was just watching the gala. I noticed your light was on. So I came to give you your scarf," Soo Ah explained.

"I didn't mean to give you that hug. I'm sorry," I said, unsure what to say to her.

"I will let go of the hug. It's snowing!" she exclaimed, striding towards the balcony.

On the cold winter night, we could see our breath as we sat on the wooden bench. We were both enchanted by the beauty of cascading white snowflakes while enjoying a peaceful moment together.

I mumbled, "Is it wrong to chase our dreams?" My voice could barely be heard, and I felt it carried away by the gentle cooling breeze.

"I heard what you said, Yoongi. Have you heard about the story of Dandelion?" She asked.

"You heard," I asked her. She hugged herself tighter, bringing her knees closer to her body to warm herself.

"Yes, As a dandelion grows up, it needs to leave its parent plant. Most of them decided to fly towards their dreams, but one was afraid and contemplated a lot. After finding courage and determination, it decided to chase its dreams like its brothers and sisters. It felt happier knowing it was brave enough to pursue what it wanted despite being scared at first. I hope you understood, even though I don't know what troubles you." Soo Ah passed on a smile.

"Thank you for comforting me,"

"Let me get some sleep. Don't think a lot without sleeping, otherwise, you will look like a panda, and I will take you out tomorrow," she said, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked curiously to find her slamming the door without hearing me out.

I kept the name of the cat to be Hazel because I love Hazelnut.

How was the chapter? I apologize if you find any mistakes.

Hope I was able to convey Yoongi's internal thoughts.
