Entering the History of Magic classroom, everyone was talking as usual. Maisie looked over to Ricky's desk, with a nervous glance. Ricky looked towards her, and then turned back with a huff of arrogance. "Yeah, there's no way I'm sitting with Ricky. He'll just get mad at me again, but all the other seats are full." Maisie then looked over at Wednesday's desk, to see that there was an empty seat. "Uh, hey Wednesday." She said, walking over to her. "Oh, Maisie." Wednesday looked up. "I was wondering if you'd let me sit here?" Maisie asked her. She hoped that despite her negative nature, she would allow her. "Why? I thought you were sitting with Ricky Harper." Wednesday stated. Maisie looked back at Ricky, and he gave her the same reaction again. She knew fully well that he wasn't going to let her sit with him, and it was a relief to her. "Yeah, well...he doesn't exactly like me." She said. "I would say he doesn't like anyone." Maisie let out a laugh at the statement, then it slowly died down when Wednesday didn't share a smirk. "Funny..."

"Mind you, neither do I." Wednesday said. "Oh, well I was going to ask if I could sit with you." Maisie responded. Wednesday asked if she was sure, pointing out that she would be constantly insulted by Delores, Avery and the girls. "Well, they don't like me either...since I'm the new girl, next to my brother." Maisie said. "The bleach blond and annoying voice always have some pathetic reason to pick on somebody." Maisie nodded in agreement, then took her seat next to the raven girl. "So, I hear you and Aidan will be in Viktia." Wednesday pointed out. "Yeah, for two days. We'll be starting tomorrow but I'm pretty nervous, since the people I've met from that house aren't very nice." The girl replied, looking over to the popular desk. "As much as I hate to admit it, we aren't all bad. There are some people in that house who are ambitious about what they want to do; don't make the house bad." Maisie muttered an apology to Wednesday. "Calm down, there's no need to be. With your brother's fancy hairstyle and fashion, along with your personality, you'll both fit right in." Wednesday stated. "Wait, are you saying me and Aidan are like them?" Maisie questioned. "If you mean Dolores, Avery and Cameron, it depends if they wanna be friends with you or not. From me, stay away from them as much as possible whilst in Viktia."ย

"Good morning, and shut up." Miss Tutwiller entered the room. Everyone stopped talking and looked over to the teacher. "Today, class, we'll be doing a test," Everyone began to let out groans of complaints. "I told you to revise for the pop quiz yesterday, so I trust the information is still in your brain; unless your stupid." Ricky raised his hand, asking if she was even allowed to call any of the students that. "No, but I'm in a bad mood, so deal with it." Miss Tutwiller snapped. "This is why I like her, all she does is complain about her life." Wednesday mumbled to Maisie. "Um, Miss Tutwiller, what do I do? I didn't even know there was a test." Maisie asked. "Well, that's the thing about life, Maisie. It likes to slap you out of this universe and twist you around like a never-ending cement mixer!" Tutwiller said, getting louder with each word. "Like you trying to get a date." Wednesday said, the teacher gave her a glare.ย

"Uh, Miss Tutwiller, what's the quiz even on?" A student asked. "Oh, for goodness sake, it's what you've been learning in class!" Miss Tutwiller replied. "But like, I don't even know what we've been learning." Delores exclaimed. "Yar, same here!" Avery said in her annoying tone. "Yeah, it's not like anyone listens to you." Dawn added. "Perfect, then you'll all fail."

Later, Miss Tutwiller handed out a pop quiz to each student. Maisie looked down at it, clenching her fists. How could she pass this? She didn't even know the majority of it! "Are you kidding me? A test?" Dawn complained. "Don't worry, Dawn! I can help you with the answers." Dicky smirked. Dawn gave him a look of 'Really?' and brought back up his incident in class the other day. "Hey, he told me that answer!" Dicky pointed to the student next to him. "No, I didn't!" Miss Tutwiller let out a yell, shutting up the class entirely. "Let's make this clear, no one will be helping anyone, is that clear?"

"Yes, Miss Tutwiller."

"Well, Maisie, let's see if you're able to be a Hermiona." Wednesday said. "Are you serious? I was only in class yesterday!" Maisie replied. "A true Hermiona would pass this with no problems." The pigtail-girl stated, raising her eyebrows. Maisie nodded. Wednesday was right; she needed to try her best in order to pass this and prove herself to her aunt. "First question, when Dumbledore met Grindewald, what was the first spell he taught him?" Tutwiller started. "Okay, Maisie, you've got this. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or does, it's what I do."

"Head Gracia is known for what?"

"Yada-yada..."

"-landed on the-"

"Who is the leader of the previously known Death Eaters?"

Maisie wrote down an answer for each, giving it her all with confidence. "And that is all, class. Now if you can bring your tests up to my desk, I will be forever grateful." Everyone began to take their tests up to Miss Tutwiller's desk, some looking confident and others looking nervous. "Liv, darling." Delores said. "Yes, girls?" Liv asked. "Be a deara, and take our tests upa." Avery asked. "Yes, Delores and Avery." Liv sighed.

"Ha-ha, pushover!"

"Thank you, Ricky." She took in Ricky's test. "And thank you, Maisie. Let's hope you didn't fail." Tutwiller mumbled. "Oh no, Miss, I'm very confident." Maisie smiled. Ricky let out a scoff at her words and the girl gave him a side glance. "Well, go back to your desks so I can mark these." Everyone did so, and waited while she was marking them.

"Okay, let's get this over with. Lily Prescott, eleven out of twenty."

"Nice!"

"Dicky Harper, seven out of twenty. Better than your last score, Mr Harper."

"Woo-hoo!"

"Dawn Harper, five out of twenty." Dicky let out a small chuckle. "Are you kidding me?"

"Liv Rooney, Avery and Delores have the same score. Ten out of twenty, surprise, surprise."

"Are you kidding me? Because of you, we only got half right?!"

"Well, maybe next time, why don't you do your own work?"

"Excuse us, what was that, Liv?"

"N-Nothing, Avery."

"Ricky Harper, twenty out of twenty. Well done, Hermiona."

"Wednesday Addams, twelveย out of twenty. That's not bad."

"I even got lower than the loner girl."

"Maisie Potter...oh..."

Maisie leaned forward, curious about what she got. "What is it?" She asked Tutwiler. "Two out of twenty." She dropped the test on her desk. "What? But I tried my hardest, Miss Tutwiller." Maisie exclaimed. "Well, it seems your hardest isn't good enough!" Delores laughed. "Guess who won't be a Hermiona?" Avery joined in. "Well, we all have our ups and downs, Maisie but that is a pretty low-down." Miss Tutwiller said. "But, Miss, yesterday was her first class!" Ricky piped up. Maisie looked over to him in surprise. Why was he defending her? After all she and Aidan did, he just insulted them. Why was he taking her side now? "Yeah, but it's still bad." Dawn chuckled. "Shut up, Dawn. You only got five." Dicky defended. Maisie looked down on herself in disappointment, after all her hard work. "I was certain I did everything right." She mumbled. "You okay, Maisie?" Wednesday asked. "I-I need to go..."

Maisie ran out of the classroom, before any tears could be shed. "Heh, crybaby." Delores snickered. "Wait, Maisie!" Miss Tutwiller called out. "I'll go after her, Miss Tutwiller." Ricky stood up from her seat. "Are you sure, Mr Harper?" She asked him. "Yeah, I'm sure." Ricky then left too, chasing after the girl. "Hm, looks like they're not all bad." Wednesday muttered.
