I awoke to my phone ringing in the middle of the night.

I scrambled up and hit the accept button, instantly bringing the phone up to my ear, "Hello?"

"Syd, I need you."

"Scott?" I sat up straighter, concern flooding my body, "Where are you."

"I'm in the forest, I need you to come out here." Scott sounded panicked as he asked for my help, something that didn't happen often.

I threw the covers back and hesitantly walked towards my brother's room. It was Scott's number and Scott's voice, but it didn't seem like Scott.

When I reached his room I slowly opened his door to reveal an empty room, his bed unmade as if he had left in a hurry.

"Scott, you need to tell me what's going on, why are you out there?" I ordered sternly, something was going on and I needed to know what.

"I think you're right." Scott admitted, "about that kid, Stiles, something bad is happening."

My eyes grew wide as I rushed back to my room, throwing on a pair of shoes and a jacket, "I'm on my way."

----

I shut off the car and bolted out into the forest, a jacket and flashlights in hand for Scott who's final request had been to bring the supplies.

As he heard the car door shut Scott began towards me, "Thank you.' he whispered as he pulled the jacket over top of his bare chest.

"How did you get out here?" I asked, watching my brother turn on the flashlight and flash it around the dark woods.

"I don't know." he admitted, his eyes moving towards me. "I called Malia and Lydia, they should be close." he announced, changing the topic."

At that very moment, as if it was planned, headlights illuminated the dark sky, Lydia's car coming into view.

"Come on." Scott said, as he began walking towards the two girls. When we reached the car Scott handed them the other two flashlights, "Thanks for coming."

Malia and Lydia looked at him, waiting for him to explain what in the world we were all doing out here.

"Okay, so I went to bed at home, and I woke up out here in the wood, about a mile out. But I think I know why it's happening. I've been out here before, it was beginning sophomore year, the night before tryouts for first line. I remember because it was all that I could think about." Scott explained, as the four of us began walking further into the woods.

"What were you doing?"Malia asked.

"I was looking for a dead body." Scott admitted.

"That's morbid." Lydia pointed out.

"Were you by yourself?" I asked, trying to bring myself back to that night, I was still in middle school at the time.

"That's the question, what was I doing out here all alone?"

"I wish I could help you, but I didn't know you back then." Lydia admitted, which I knew was wrong, Scott and Stiles had known Lydia since third grade.

"I was still a coyote so I might have tried to eat it" Malia said bluntly.

"Deaton said it's my subconscious trying to tell me something. But I need you guys to help me figure it out."

"Maybe you were just a curious teenager and you heard there was a dead body." Lydia suggested.

"But how? I never watched the news and I don't have a police scanner."

"Your mom works at the hospital, maybe she got called in and you overheard her." Malia tried.

"My mom wasn't home that night The only one that was home was Sydney." Scott rebutted.

All eyes turned to me and I let out a sigh, it was time for me to babble on about someone that they couldn't remember once again, "You weren't alone." I admitted.

"Who was out here with me? How did the Sheriff know I was out here, how did he even know who I was, he was calling my name " Scott asked eagerly.

"You were with Stiles." I answered truthfully, which resulted in Lydia giving me a confused look.

"That was the boy you were asking me about this morning." She stated and I nodded my head.

"Stiles was your best friend Scott, and he was the Sheriff's son. You two would always go out and try to find the crime scenes without getting caught. I remember I always asked to go with you but you would never let me. You didn't let me that night either. You and Stiles told me it was too dangerous. That was the night you were bit, you came home that night and you were different, I didn't know what happened to you, you and Stiles hid it from me. He helped you Scott, he was always there for you."

All 3 of them stared at me, none of them saying anything, "I know I sound crazy but-"

"No, you don't sound crazy." Malia assured me, "I know that someone chained me up and I think they wanted me to stay human."

"I came to school this morning and I was sure I was supposed to meet someone but I couldn't remember who it was supposed to be. I have been looking for them all day. Whether it's this Stiles or not, I think I loved him." Lydia admitted.

"We're all missing the same person" Scott concluded, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a photo, the photo of the group of us from just the other say, "He was in this photo."

"He was sitting right there." Lydia whispered, pointing to the empty spot between her and Scott.

They were remembering, the were finally remembering Stiles.

---

I had gone home after our little session in the woods. The other 3 had gone to Deaton to see if they could find anything else out about their missing best friend but I needed sleep, no matter how much Stiles meant to me I couldn't help him if I couldn't think straight.

I let out a sigh as I grabbed a glass from the cabinet, filling it up with water and leaning up against the counter as I slowly sipped on it. The house was dark and empty, my mom working the night shift. That's why fear shot through my body when I heard a noise from upstairs.

I quietly sat my glass down and reached over to grabbed a knife from the drawer, my hands shaking as I did so. I considered calling the police but I knew I was just probably hearing things.

With that in mind, I slowly began up the stairs, cringing with every creak that the wooden steps made. As I reached the top, I look around, everything seeming normal. Normal until I heard a footstep coming from my room.

I took a deep breath as I peered into my dark room, "Who's in there?" I asked, my voice coming out as a whispered.

To my horror, deep breathing from the other side of the room was the only response I got, I let out an ear piercing scream as my eyes landed on a tall dark figure with long hair. He was in all black, a black hat and black trench coat and something was covering his mouth so I couldn't see it.

I rushed to turn on my light and when I did nothing was there. Hot tears were running down my face as I dialed Scott's number, when he didn't pick up I called Liam who picked up on the first ring.

"Liam, I need help." I sobbed into the phone, I wasn't even sure at first if he heard me.

"Sydney what's wrong?" Liam demanded, panic in his voice.

"Please come quickly." I begged.

"I'm on my way, just don't hang up." he ordered.

"I'm scared." I whimpered.

"I know, but I'm almost there." he assured, I was assuming he was at the school considering his house was too far away for him to get here that fast.

"Can you hear my car?" he asked in a calm voice, trying to ease my nerves.

"Yeah, I can hear it." I sniffled, and as I saw the headlights pull into my driveway I hung up and rushed down the the front door.

Before Liam was even out of the car I had the front door open and I was running towards him. He shut his car door and pulled me into a tight hug, running his over my hair, "Syd what happened?' He asked quietly.

"There was someone in my room, a man, he was in all black and he didn't say anything but-" I cut myself off, trying to figure out who he was and what he wanted.

"But what?" Liam asked, taking my hand in his.

"When I turned on the light he was gone."

Liam's face fell as he locked eyes with me, "Are you alone tonight? Where's Scott?"

"I don't know when he'll be home. Why, what's wrong?" I asked, I knew he knew something and just wasn't telling me.

"I'm staying here then." he announced.

"Liam what aren't you telling me?"

"Something bad is happening."
