Ace had invited Samantha and Kat over to Richie's house to hang out, and they eagerly agreed. So that's where they were. Sammy and Kat were sat atop a beat up car that hunkered on top dried up grass. Ace was sat in front of them of the bonnet with Charlie, cleaning a car part and the other boys were scattered across the yard. Sammy was in a trance, watching Eyeball giving another boy, called Jack, a make-shift tattoo using a razor.

"Hold it, will ya?" Eyeball complained to the boy in front of him. "So what's with you are this corny Palermo girl?"

"I don't know. I've been seeing her for a month now and all she'll do is let me feel her tits."

Ace laughed as a cigarette dangled from his lips. "She's a Catholic, man. They're all like that. Wanna gotta get laid? Get a Protestant girl. Choose well." Ace joked as the other boys laughed. Kat rolled her and playfully kicked Ace in the shoulder from behind as he shot her a teasing wink - she was a Protestant girl.

The radio anchor's voice suddenly boomed out of the radio. "A KLAM newsbreak. We interrupt to bring you an update on the search for the missing twelve years old Ray Brower. The Police have expanded their efforts to include Motton, Durham and the outlying areas."

"Give up. The kid's gone. They're never gonna find him." Eyeball opposed to no one in specific.

"Not where they're looking," Charlie spoke up as he leaned forward to Eyeball.

"Hey! Eyeball's right, Charlie! They're never gonna find him!" Jack interjected defensively.

"Hey, would you stay still?! You're making me fuck up the snake part," Eyeball grabbed the boy's arm and held it in his firm grip.

"I reckon, ten years from now, some hunter will be taking a leak and wind up pissing on his bones." Another boy, called Vince, spoke with no emotion from beside Ace.

"I bet you a thousand bucks they find him before that!" Charlie smiles as he points to Eyeball.

"And I bet you two thousand dollars they don't," Eye mocked.

Charlie got up and began defending himself but was cut short when Jack interjected. "Hey, what's the big deal? Who cares?" He gives Charlie a convincing look and he took a seat.

"Will you two just shut the fuck up. If either of you had two thousand dollars, I'd kill you both." Ace said and everyone listened to him and became silent.

"What even is this group? Are you lot a gang or something?" Kat joked and Samantha laughed.

Ace smiled around his half burnt cigarette. "Well, darling, I don't know about a gang, but we'll settle for ... a bunch of rebellious teens with a group name."

"And what group name would that be, exactly?" Kat smiled down at the blonde boy in front of her.

"The Cobras. Loud and proud." Ace smirked up at the beautiful brunette. "Now, enough about us, tell me more about you gorgeous."

"There's not a lot to tell."

"Oh c'mon, there's always something to tell. No one's life is that dull. What about your family? Any juicy drama going on there?" Charlie pushed but Ace pushed his shoulder with an annoyed glare.

"Well, I think my dad's having an affair with the neighbour if that's the juicy drama you were expecting," Kat said with a small smile.

"Holy shit! That's heavy, why do you think that?" The skinny dirty blonde boy probed further.

"I don't know, he's always over there when my mom's out, and the neighbour's husbands out. And he's usually gone for like 2 hours at least, maybe even longer. Major red flags,"

"What you gonna do?" Eyeball's attention was now on Kat's little story.

"I honestly don't know, I don't have any real evidence, plus for all I know, he could just be chatting with her, they could just be great friends. Right?" Kat shrugged

"I'm not so sure, sweets. It's extremely rare for a man to be friends with a woman without sex or any form of attraction to be there. That's why we weren't friends before." Ace winked at Kat as she blushed.

"You really think my dad's banging my neighbour?"

"Positive." Ace confirmed and the rest of the boys around her hummed in agreement. Kat turned to Samantha and she gave her a sympathetic smile.

"Anything else Kat? Any other dramatic stuff ever happened to you, personally?" Vince asked me, his voice teasing and mocking Charlie as he seemed so interested in her background.

Kat thought for a moment, thinking back to everything that had ever occurred to her in her life up until that point.

"Nothing too exciting, I guess, nothing worth mentioning."

The day continued as day became night. Samantha had hopped off of the car to chat with Eyeball. Kat was lying on the car roof and staring up at the stars as she felt a body lay beside her. Her gaze shifted to the boy to her right and was met with a lop-sided grin and enchanting blue orbs. "Hey," She whispered.

"Hey, sugar," Ace smirked as Kat grinned with rosy cheeks. She loved the little pet names he gave her. Although he probably thought nothing of them, they made her feel special.

"I've really enjoyed today, thank you."

"No problem Kat, I know we're nothing special but I'm glad you like the boys."

There was a moment of silence between them as they shuffled into a more comfortable position. They final position ended up being Kat's head nested in Ace's neck and his arm wrapped around her shoulder, holding her against his figure.

"Although I didn't like the situation we met in, I'm glad I did meet you, Ace," Kat suddenly said quietly.

She felt a vibration ripple through his chest as he gently chuckled and his grip on her shoulder tightened slightly. "I hear you, doll, and I agree. I'm glad I met you."

Kat lifted her head from his neck and faced him. She stared into his eyes as he did the same. She leaned her head down to meet his lips and closed her doe eyes and they shared a romantic kiss. Ace held onto her waist as Kat propped her arm onto his shoulder, deepening the kiss. She felt Ace's hand trail down her back then back up to her neck, where he pushed her head down lightly to deepen the kiss even further. His palm then travelled up and down her freckled arm, leaving goosebumps in his wake. Ace then flipped them around so Kat's back hit the cold car roof and he was hovering over her, still pressing long and deep kisses onto her mouth. Ace's lips travel below her jaw and down her slender neck as his fingers dance down her torso and to her thigh. Ace's teeth gently sank into the skin of her collarbone and she gasped. Kat heard Ace hum as he brought his mouth back to hers. He was smiling in the kiss.
