PURLOINED

Standing still in his embrace, Jungkook didn't know why his eyes welled up with tears. Although he never recalled Taehyung in the past few years, he never forgot him either.

How could he forget when he was the reason to have his darling son in his life?

He never missed him because he had no role in his life apart from helping him with some projects. They weren't even friends. So he wasn't the reason for his tears.

Probably, he was the reason for his sadness. He wasn't letting him go and solve the mess. He wanted a simple, peaceful life that was ruined by his job and his return to his life.

Perhaps he was tired of all the events that happened in two days; hence, his tears were rolling down just by finding little comfort in his embrace.

His heartbeats were loud and uniform, trying to hold his attention and stop his worries. His finger gently caressed his head as if trying to soothe him. His other hand held him close and firm, making it impossible for him to escape from his cage-like arms.

'Cage,' A bleak smile appeared on his face. He will never be a bird in his cage. He won't let him control his life. He had his own life, away from him.

His hands moved as if he were trying to embrace him. Nevertheless, he stole his mobile out of his jacket pocket and shoved it in the jacket he was wearing.

Jungkook clenched his teeth when he couldn't pull away from him. He sneered to get away from him. "Mr. Kim, your acting skills are amazing." They were never close enough to embrace each other. He should probably kill him, especially after what he did the previous evening.

Taehyung just knew he felt like hugging him and he did. He breathed in relief while thinking he was safe from his father and that's worth giving up on his start-up. He was very glad that he was fine, having lived well all these years. Anyway, his ridiculing voice brought him back to reality.

There again, he was acting like he wasn't. His softened features turned sharp and his tongue turned bitter, "Oh..." He took his hands away and scoffed, "Stupidity is contagious."

Now he was stupid. He lifted his leg to stomp him but he slipped off so swiftly as if he were sitting in his head, reading his thoughts. He pouted at losing again. He was ready to leave when he suddenly cupped his head and made him look at him.

His face turned dark, looking at the drop of tears hanging down his lashes and the stain on his face. "Why are you crying?" His long fingertips flicked his teardrop, gazing at him as though he would murder the one who made him cry.

Jungkook gave him an 'Are you stupid?' look. It was him. He wasn't letting him go and what could be worse than that?

This time he stomped his feet and got away from his hands when he hissed faintly. He growled at him, moving his feet. "Can't you speak, Jeon Jungkook? When did you turn so fierce?" Little Donut was such a kind, sweet, and harmless kitten. Jeon Jungkook was a fierce, angry kitten, ready to attack him for every word.

He saw the grumpiness on his face flatten upon hearing her name. He sighed. He had no idea why he didn't want him to know about him but he had already pulled him into his life. This time, he wasn't going to let go, as in the past. His long hand reached his ear before he could run from him.

"Mr. Kim, Taehyung... Let me go. Taehyung..." He couldn't believe he was behaving as if nothing had changed in five years. They weren't the same, to give him the punishment of pulling his ear. He had found him stern in the past, nowchildish.

He chided him as in the past, taking him towards the mansion, hearing him whine while he hit his hand. "Stop running around. Hadn't I told you we needed to talk? Get inside and eat. We will solve this mess first, then..."

'Toot... toot...'

Taehyung turned around and he took the chance to run away without checking who was in the car. Taehyung saw that it was Yeong-Su. He couldn't believe Yeong-Su didn't send him any details when he always responded to him quickly.

Yeong-Su alighted the car and looked at the oddly dressed man running away. Closing the door, he reached Taehyung and excitedly asked, "Brother Taehyung, did you guys reconcile?" He had seen Taehyung holding Jungkook's ear.

Taehyung's eyebrow slightly lifted. He glanced at Jungkook. Yeong-Su knew Jungkook's name, as he had been to the Kim mansion when all the drama was going on. He smacked Yeong-Su for never telling him. Nevertheless, it was his fault. He forbade Yeong-Su from speaking about boys.

Rubbing his head, Yeong-Su murmured without taking Taehyung's actions to heart, "I got to know who drugged you..." His tone changed to extreme detest: "It's her. I drugged her food today." He laughed viciously, recalling that woman staggering out of the restaurant.

Taehyung clenched his teeth, hearing Yeong-Su. He should have guessed who it was without checking into it. He again turned behind but Jungkook wasn't in sight. Looking back at Yeong-Su, "Deal with her."

Yeong-Su shrugged. "That bitch is your problem, not mine." That wasn't the real reason. If he does something to that woman, her family will tear him off into pieces and affect his father's career.

"Yacht." Taehyung bribed him without thinking twice.

Yeong-Su's eyes shone in excitement. He wanted a yacht for many years but his father forbade him as it would have a negative impact on his political career. "Deal. I will pluck him out of your life."

Clicking on his phone, Yeong-Su continued, "I have mailed Mr. Jeon's details. Check it once. Some of his details are protected, or probably erased, especially regarding his son..." Yeong-Su paused when Taehyung didn't find his mobile.

Taehyung suddenly started running so Yeong-Su went behind him, realizing Jungkook had stolen Taehyung's mobile. They need to stop him from calling the cops; otherwise, all the troubles they went through would be pointless.
