000. | KENTO NANAMI NEVER ONCE IN HIS EARLY LIFE BELIEVED IN SOULMATES. ALL THERE WAS TO BE WAS LOGIC OF THE WORLD, OF THE HUMAN BRAIN AND THE CRUEL WORLD HE WAS THRUST INTO BY A CRUEL DEITY WHO DECIDED HIS FATE. HE WAS NOTHING BUT A BLANK SLATE FILLED TO BE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD AND WORK FOR THE MONEY TO LIVE A MORE PEACEFUL LIFE. UNTIL HE MET HER.

His eyes only aiming for the top spot at his company which he worked himself day and night, feeling himself become only closer to a burnout as he had to survive the real world; until he met a woman at his company. She was whimsical, odd even but her smile when she talked about art, about literature, about the world and the human mind, he found himself becoming fascinated to her. This was a novel not considered a masterpiece to the public, yet it was so well written and eloquent.

Kento couldn't get his eyes off of the passage. It was strange, she wrote this only when she was twenty. He met her only a month after she released this novel so it couldn't be a coincidence. Plus, unlike the main protagonist in the novel, when he met Akina herself. He fell instantly, he fell hard. His eyes landed on her and there was something about her that caught him and it wouldn't let go.

He was miserable at a company but he worked only for money until he realized that he could work for more. Maybe she could read the future. The thought made him shake his head as he let out a soft sigh.

His eyes shifted away from the book that was speaking on the page of both of them talking about their interests, how they balanced out and how the girl was willing to learn and the man was helping her with documents. It was quite sweet, it made a small smile crawl on his eyes; but his focus shifted as he turned to his clock. 6:30 p.m.

One hour and a half before he would get ready for his date with Akina tonight. It was a bit of a special location but somewhere he believed she would love.

Lifting himself off of his chair, he let out a small grunt as he felt himself getting comfortable. He didn't want to be late for his date but he wanted to see how the novel ended.

A small smile managed to carve his way on his defined face as he had an idea. Maybe he could ask Akina himself how it would end.

Akina was in the city of Tokyo, becoming more and more curious with what the former businessman turned sorcerer had planned for the both of them tonight.

The sorceress took out her phone from her purse, looking at the time that she had arrived. 7:58 p.m.

She was a bit early as most would say, but usually she would like to five minutes to an event rather than five minutes later. It just felt better that way to her, it was strange because Kento Nanami would usually arrive earlier than the normal time if it was urgent but only on time if it was normal or not as urgent, sometimes he wouldn't show up at all if he wasn't needed or wasn't involved in something.

She didn't know what he was planning for this date so all she had on for now was a red long sleeved mini dress with a black top on it along with a black see through frill on the edge of the skirts length which she had just bought a week ago, covered with a long sleeved black coat and black winter leggings underneath and accented her outfit with long black stillet knee high high heel winter boots and black gloves with fluffy cuffs at the wrists. Her makeup was elegant with red lips and soft red eyeshadow and black, her hair was curled again as she was too lazy to style it straight all over again this week so she decided to work on a simple braided half up half down hairstyle that suited her curly hairstyle and finished off the look with three necklaces on her neck, one golden chained with multiple butterfly pendants, the next with only a simple butterfly pendant and the next was a golden heart shaped locket (with a small picture of Kento in it and another one which had Satoru in it) and two heart shaped ruby ears with pearls accenting it.

He was always serious about work but something in his heart seemed to yearn for something more than that. She could tell by the way his eyes had bags underneath them and call her crazy, but she could hear his heart screaming for peace and for quiet from this dreaded tragic life of a jujutsu sorcerer.

'Speak of the devil' as they would say as the sorceress spotted a black limousine car was parked at the front of the parking space where Akina was asked to meet. A small smile started to curl it's way onto her red colored lips as she saw the handsome blond sorcerer step out of the limousine, his style was relatively casual being a pair of black jeans, brown dress shoes, a white long sweater suited to the cold late time weather of January topped with a white coat on top. Some outside the office never got the privilege to see Kento Nanami to wear casual clothes, except for the students sometimes and other sorcerers, but that was rare. His hair was styled his usual style and this time his eyes were covered with sunglasses just for style.

"Hey Ken", Akina smiled softly as she walked up to the sorcerer.

A small smile clearly visible to the sorceress curled on Kento's lips as he looked at her, "Hello Akina. You look beautiful", he spoke only genuinely, but truthfully, she always looked beautiful in his eyes. Especially when she was wearing the color red (or even better, whenever she was underneath or top of him).

"Thank you and you look handsome too", she felt the heat rush to her cheeks at his compliment and feeling her heart pace going from normal to speeding, she was sure that it had skipped a few or even more beats she looked at him.

Kento looked at her and let out a quite muffled chuckle, 'she's adorable', he thought to himself as he leaned in and pecked her lips softly. "You ready to go?"

"Of course, I can't wait to see what you have planned", she smiled softly as she walked to the limousine with Kento.

Luckily he was in front of her, he took the chance to open the limousine passenger door and allow her to walk in. "Oh thank you, Ken", she giggled softly as she leaned in and kissed his cheek, leaving a stain of red from her lipstick in her wake.

It wasn't noticeable to the dark haired woman at first when she got in the car but when Kento noticed it, he didn't mind it at all. It was like a artwork, one that even imprinted on his heart. While he quickly wiped the stain away with his hand he asked the limo driver to head to the location which he had planned for his and Akina's date.

With reaching to their location, Kento thanked the driver and paid him after he stepped out of the limo first opened the door for Akina as well.

Akina this time exchanged a peck on the lips to thank him and in front of her, she noticed a somewhat small sized restaurant that she hadn't recognized. "Oh, this is a surprise. This seems like a nice place", Akina inspected the restaurant.

"I found it a few days ago when I wanted to get coffee, I have a feeling you'll like this place", he answered her with a small but soft smile as he walked to the door and once again opened the door for the sorceress.

Akina couldn't help but feel like she was swooning over and over again as he did the smallest things for her, even when it was opening a door and being a gentleman for her. She absolutely love it. She playfully curtsied, "Thank you Kento", she giggled softly before walking into the restaurant.

A soft chuckle fell from his lips as he found it adorable before he walked into the restaurant with Akina and closed the door behind them.

The dark haired woman's eyes scanned the room, the restaurant was a normal restaurant but inside, it was built like a library. The people were either enjoying their food, mingling with each other, reading or purchasing the books from the shelves or all of them at once. It made the sorceress smile as she walked around, a place she would've loved when she was a teenager. "Wow Ken, this place it pretty amazing", she turned to him, a bright smile crawling on her face.

Kento shrugged slightly still holding a genuine loving smile on his handsome features as he walked to a table near a booth where it would be nice and quiet for them. "I found this place and I thought you would like it", he answered, letting her sit at the corner with the booth as he knew it was her favorite place to sit at a restaurant.

"Well, I'm already starting to like this place", she answered him with a playful chuckle.

"So why don't we order our drinks and then we can look at the books together?", he asked her before he opened up the menu of the options for coffee at the restaurant.

"Sounds good", Akina answered and her eyes started to scan the coffee section menu in front of her, looking at the different options she could choose from. After a bit of time and decision, the sorceress and 7:3 sorcerer made their choices as they ordered from their waiter.

Both the blonde man and the dark haired woman went in to the different sections of shelves where you would find the genres of books that they both started to explore. Kento however wasn't so much focused on the books, instead his eyes were on her.

The faint lights of the library were glowing on Akina's caramel colored skin and her red dress made her look even more beautiful in the light. A faint smile was seen on Kento's face as he looked at her with only love and adoration as she continued exploring her options with the books.

Kento laid his dark colored hues on the books and noticed a title with Akina's name underneath it being named "Rapture". Deciding to take the book, the two headed back to their table to enjoy their coffee.

Sitting at the table, Akina lipped the cup of coffee to her lips and sipped on the butter yet sweet tasting drink frothed at the top.

"So, um Akina, tell me", Kento started to speak first as he put the small cup of his hot beverage down and had his attention glued to the dark haired woman. When she looked up at the blond haired sorceress putting her attention on him, he asked a question, "How long have you been writing for?"

Thinking about the question, Akina set her cup down and put her hands together. "Well, I think I had been doing it since I was a kid but those stories were a bit too wild to put in a novel and it was a kid's imagination so I don't think I would've written it by then. But, I think I published my first novel when I was fifteen", she answered his question honestly as she let the memories come back to her.

Kento was quite surprised, "So you released your first novel at fifteen? That's impressive", a small smile cracked on his lips.

Akina let out a soft embarrassed chuckled, "Well I was fifteen and it was okay but I don't really consider it my best work", she admitted.

"Actually, I read quite a lot of your novels and they're amazing. But I found this one I haven't read yet", taking out the novel he found from the shelf, he showed it to the sorceress and her face immediately became flushed and her eyes widened.

"Oh um, that one", Akina uttered, hiding her face with her hand as she tried to not let him see her face. 'Oh no, not that one'

The small smile formed into a teasing smirk, "Well, what's it about?", he couldn't help but find her embarrassed expressions adorable.

"Please don't read that one. It's so bad, it's cringe", she tried to laughed to hide her embarrassment.

"Bad? I don't think so", Kento assured her, "It was poetically erotic and I myself couldn't stop reading it until the very end", he chuckled softly, the teasing smirk never leaving his face and it transported to his deep voice.

Akina looked at him, "I was twenty and I just started dating. I don't know why twenty year old me thought it was a good idea to write or have it published", the heat rushed to her cheeks, not only from the embarrassment of the book itself but how Kento found it and read it even.

Kento chuckled softly, "Okay okay, enough about that", he took a sip of his black coffee.

"Yeah, enough about me. How's work going on your side? I know Gojo has probably been pestering you these past few days", she asked him, before she thanked the waiter for bringing the chocolate croissant she asked for earlier.

Kento also thanked the waiter in turn for the sandwich he ordered. "Yes, well I'm probably sure you saw that edited photograph of his face being replaced with one of the three blind mice from Shrek?", he asked her, a small mischievous glint very so rarely glimmering in his eyes.

"Oh yeah, I saw that", Akina almost let out a light laugh, "Gojo was pouty about it and he whined to me about it asking who would do something like that-Oh wait a minute, that was you?", she covered her mouth as she stifled her laughter.

Kento let out a light chuckle, "Yes, I got so tired of him the other day, I heard I think I heard Shoko comment if I'm not wrong, about Gojo looking identical to the three blind mice and I went away from my usual work ethics and did something petty"

Akina tried to not let out too much of a noise but she could barely hold her laughter back. "The students and I were laughing so hard that I think I got abs from it", she admitted and wiped away the small droplets of tears from the laughter.

A find smile crawled on the 7:3 sorcerer's face as he watched her laugh. It was rare in a job and career like this that they would have a moment of laughter but hearing hers was rare unless she was with Gojo, but he loved hear it. It sounded so sweet and heavenly and the sparkle in her eyes made her even more radiant in his eyes.

"Well, I do have a confession but don't tell Gojo okay? I was the one who actually started the blind mice from Shrek joke on him", she snickered, trying to hold back her laughter.

Kento sipped on his coffee, almost letting out a small chuckle of shock. "Wait? That was you?", he asked.

"Yes, it was accident. He and I got into a very petty argument and when I was in another room I muttered, I didn't think anyone heard me I said "Stupid man who looks like blind mice from Shrek can tell me what to do? No he can't" and one of the coworkers heard me, they laughed believing they made the joke and I stayed quiet cuz I didn't want Gojo to do payback on me", Akina explained, almost laughing out too loudly.

Kento couldn't help but feel himself let out a small bit out laughter. "No way, that was actually you?", he asked, feeling himself becoming elated that he was laughing with her and she was laughing because of him and not Gojo.

"Yes it was", she admitted, still barely being able to contain herself.

"You want to help me next time when Gojo is becoming too much of a pest to me?", he asked her, a small mischievous smile noticeable on his face.

"Of course, as long as you don't tell him", she answered, a small smile crawling on her face.

"I won't"

"Then you have yourself a deal"

The two, not noticing the people sitting at the other tables or shelves, fondly watching the couple together, a love so bright and radiant that it couldn't even be replicated by simple words that their novels shamefully tried to produce. It was so pure, so sweet, so poetic.

She was his light that creates a better world for him and she was his rock, who kept her grounded and assured her of her anxieties and the evil voice in her head that lied, saying that she was nothing and would never be worthy of love.
