     GREETINGS, BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! Welcome to VOLUME ONE! So great to have you here.

     Disclaimer: I am not an expert regarding anything I talk about in this book. So please, do not take my word as gospel. This is simply a resource for anyone to consult.

     Now, buckle up. Today I will be answering one of the frequently asked questions I receive: Do I take reading requests?

     To keep it simple: No.

     My reasoning is also just as simple. I do not have the time to read every request sent to me or comment on my profile or books. I can scarcely keep up with my ongoing works, unpublished books, full-time job, another part-time job, and manage my personal life. So no, I will not read your book.

     To further add, I only read stories that I am interested in and that catch my eye. Now, that doesn't mean that yours doesn't, but when someone asks me to read their story or sends me a link, it puts me off and makes me not want to. I also find that I am much more critical of an author's work when they've asked me to read their story. I don't want to read stories that I'll be highly critical of. I read for fun, not so I can look for mistakes or errors.

     Be patient if you're simply looking for more readers and votes on your books. They will come; you have to give it time. I know it can be frustrating, but we all have to start somewhere! (I've been on here for over a decade now, and I didn't start getting loads of reads until 2018, six years after writing on here. I know the struggle; it takes time.) I didn't get to where I am now by asking other creators to read my works or give me shoutouts.

     Lastly, no, I do not take writing requests either, so please don't ask.
