BRAEDEN WAS DRIVING THROUGH THE WOODS, GOING TO VISIT AN OLD FRIEND. She had finally made her way further through the woods and saw the big white house. Driving up in the driveway she didn't see her car parked in its usual spot. So she was going to make a u-turn and leave when she saw headlights in her side–view mirror.

Isabella had left the sheriff station and was on her way back home, as she was driving up she saw a familiar car parked in her driveway. Parking her car she got out and closed the door and was met with her old mercenary friend Braeden.

"What brings you by? Need more information on the desert wolf?" Isabella asked, walking up to the woman standing by her car.

"Nope, I'm here for a different reason, a friend of mine has had his wolf eyes change color." Braeden said.

Isabella hugged Braeden, then pointed her head in the direction of her house saying 'let's talk inside'.

Getting in and locking the door Isabella asked, "When there is a status change their eyes do happen to change color, it's basic protocol. It happens with everyone."

"This is different, his were blue before now their yellow. It all happened after he was buried in a tomb of wolfsbane in Mexico." Braeden explained, as they were now walking to Isabella's office that held bestiaries along the back wall.

"You're right, it is different. Never seen anything like it, but I can give you some books that might help explain what is happening to him." Isabella said, walking along the shelf that held all her books and started removing some to hand to Braeden.

"You heard about the axe murderer in Beacon Hills?" Braeden asked, while she made herself comfortable.

"Not before you just told me." Isabella said, chuckling at her friend's nonchalant–ness.

"Yep, but it just happened though so you're safe, I guess." Braeden said, smirking.

"Braeden, you and I train together. I think I can handle an axe murderer, especially since my entity paid me a visit and unlocked my powers for me." Isabella to her as she turned around to face her.

"Well, that's new. Having fun with it?" she questioned.

"For the most part yes, except I can remember the last 2 months of my life and I keep seeing these flashes of a strange man every now and then but all is well."

"Knowing you, you'll figure it out. You're smart enough."

"Well, thank you for that Braeden you are so helpful." Isabella said sarcastically.

"You remind me of someone, especially with what you just said. I just can't pinpoint who it is."

"Well, knowing you I'm sure you'll figure it out." Isabella said, teasing Braeden using her same statement as before.

"Have you gotten any closer to finding the desert wolf or is everything still a dead end?" Isabella questioned, knowing her friend was still looking into the case.

"I put that on hold for a while, since I'm in Beacon Hills taking care of business. Which leads me to say you should really get out more, you know a lot about the supernatural. I'm sure any wolf or whatever else is out there would be lucky to have you." Braeden stated.

"Something tells me, I won't have to get out, it's most likely going to come to me."

"With the stuff going on in this town, I'm sure of it."

"Anyways, here's all the stuff I could gather for now, maybe it'll help your wolf friend. But I'm pretty sure it's nothing solid seeing as I've never heard of anything like that before." Isabella said, handing Braeden the books.

"Well, thanks for what you do have. I'll see you around sometime soon, but for now bye." Braeden said, as her and Isabella walked to the front door.

Waving, Isabella saw Braeden get in her truck and drive off.
