PLOT

ONCE UPON A TIME...

There was a royal couple who had a single child who would rule their kingdom one day. Or so that's what everyone thought. Only the king and a select few knew the truth, that there was another daughter. One who was only a few years younger than Snow White with hair as gold as the sun. But this child's existence was forced to be kept secret by the king. For she was not the daughter of the king and queen, but of the king and a servant.

Not even Rose Red knew the truth.

Instead, Rose was raised by her mother in a neighboring kingdom. The two of them didn't have much but they had each other and that was enough. They were happy and were able to create good lives for themselves. Rose and her mother were seen as the leaders of their village. They took care of those in need and made sure everyone was fed. Despite them having so little, they had enough. Then everything changed. A disease with no known cure hit their village like a tidal wave, leaving no survivors. None except for Rose.

She lost everything.

Now Rose was left to fend for herself in a world that seemed to be against her. No one would help her despite how much she pleaded with them. She had nowhere to go and no one to fight for. That was until she met a woman by the name of Mulan. The two of them became closer than either had imagined, filling the family void they both longed for. Even after the Dark Curse left them behind in a destroyed realm, they were able to find a way to survive. At least, that was until a strange man appeared in their village claiming he knew who Rose truly was.

But who would trust a pirate?

NOTES

▻ Rose and Hook will be enemies to lovers. They start wanting nothing to do with each other, especially because of everything Hook does. This will also for sure be a he fell first, she fell harder situation.

▻ It is up to you to decide when Rose discovers she's related to Snow White. Although I feel like it should be sometime in season 2 since Hook and Cora know who she really is.

▻ She gets angry very easily and often takes her feelings out on everyone around her. This will cause rifts between a lot of people she cares about that she must resolve. Hook helps her work through her anger issues later on in the story.

▻ Because of everything that's happened to her, Rose will also have some trust issues and it takes a long time for her to open up to people.

▻ It takes a long time for Rose and Snow to get close and have a sister relationship. Snow can only think of her father cheating when she sees Rose. Rose blames Snow for her father abandoning her.

▻ Rose is an amazing archer and swordsman thanks to Mulan.

▻ It's up to you if you want to keep all the seasons in one book or create a series.
