Billy was home alone waiting for Stu and Annie to show up when a knock on his door caught his attention, he made his way to the front door knowing that Stu would have stormed in as loud as a marching band with Annie's laughter filling the small Loomis household. When he opened the door, he spotted a package sitting on his porch assigned to him, he looked around before grabbing the box and taking it into his room where he opened it. Inside was a VHS along with a letter, he picked the VHS up and read the white strip "Watch me, Billy" which left him confused until he put it into the VHS player.

His brows were furrowed as the camera footage began playing, the image of his father approaching a motel where Sidney's mother stood awaiting him before the two shared a searing kiss. Billy felt anger and betrayal burn through him as he watch the footage show the two adulterers walk into a motel room together, seductive smiles on their faces showing exactly what the two were up too. Billy shut it off and turned to the box, he picked up the letter and opened it to read what it said. Red was all he could see, he couldn't believe Maureen the harlot was sleeping with his father; the cause of his mother leaving.

"Billy?" Stu's voice pulled Billy out of his head, "Why are you crying? What happened? Who do I have to hurt?" Stu's eyes were blazing with the familiar fire that Billy had seen a rare few times. Billy didn't say anything, he simply replayed the video for Stu and held out the letter, Billy began pacing the room as Stu glared at the screen before reading the letter, pulling out a lighter and setting it on fire before throwing it into Billy's steel bin. "What do you want to do?" Stu asked his best friend, grabbing his hand and stopping his pacing. "We can do what the letter said... I'd have your back, Billy. Just say the word," Stu promised, Billy took a breath before smirking, "Time to play."

Annie, Tatum, and Sidney were having a sleepover at the Riley household on Halloween night. Annie taunting the girls with the horror movies as they waited for the boys to show up, they were going to be late for a bunch of reasons they refused to acknowledge. Annie noticed that Sidney seemed to feeling anxious, she furrowed her brows and leaned towards her. "What's wrong, Sid?" Annie asked her friend. "I think I might go home. I'm not feeling well," Sidney told the girls as she turned away from the bloody scene on the television. "Want me to drive you?" Annie offered, Sidney nodding.

"I'll be back," Annie told Tatum who scoffed as Randy walked in. "You shouldn't say that!" Randy scolded making Annie laugh as she ruffled his hair. "I'll be fine," Annie told him before she followed Sidney out of the house, telling Mrs Riley that she would be back after dropping Sidney off at home. Sidney and Annie made small talk as Annie drove to the Prescott home, she pulled up but stopped Sidney as a familiar face left the Prescott home. "Isn't that Cotton Weary?" Annie asked Sidney who furrowed her brows before shrugging. "Maybe he was visiting?" Sidney suggested before shaking it off.

"Thanks for dropping me off," Sidney told Annie who smiled sweetly, "It's not a worry, Sid. See you tomorrow?" Sidney nodded before getting out of the car, she smiled seeing Annie waiting for her to get inside before leaving. Annie leaned back in her seat before noticing that Sidney forgot her bag, she grabbed it and shut off the car before heading up to the front door. Sidney's scream of anguish prompted to her rush into the home, "Sidney!!" Annie ran upstairs and found Sidney on her knees with broken cries leaving her lips.

The sight before her was something a horror movie couldn't battle, the realism of blood splattered over the white sheets and wall. Maureen Prescott lay in the middle of the bed, her stomach clear to see and her face morphed in the form of a horrified scream. Annie felt sick at the sight, she blinked before turning to Sidney, wrapping her arms around her before pulling her out of the room despite her cries for her mother. The moment Annie was by the phone, she immediately dialled for the police and informed them of a murder. Annie kept Sidney in her arms when the police arrived, Dewey Riley approached the two.

"We, uh, need to take your statements," Dewey told them softly, Annie sniffled and nodded her head before leading Sidney away from the home and towards Dewey's car. The ride to the station was silent and drowning in grief and loss, Annie held Sidney close to her as her cries became silent with a sniffle every now and again. Annie couldn't imagine the pain that Sidney Prescott was feeling right now, she knew that if it was her mother, she would hunt the bastard down and kill him in the most painful ways known to man for his actions.

When the girls got to the station, they were separated for their statements. Annie encouraged Dewey to go with Sidney so she had someone familiar with her, he nodded and followed behind Sidney and another officer. "Miss Dalton," An officer spoke before sitting down across from her. "Yes?" Annie whispered back. "I'm Officer Adam Keynes. All I need you to do is tell me in as much detail about what happened tonight," Officer Keynes assured her softly, "You may take your time with it." Annie swallowed slowly before she began telling Officer Keynes about her steps of the night.

Cotton Weary was arrested for the rape and murder of Maureen Prescott after Sidney and Annie's statements matched up as evidence of the man leaving the Prescott home the night of the murder. Cotton Weary pleaded for his innocence claiming that they were only having an affair, that he wouldn't kill the woman he was falling in love with. It left the town split in half, some believing that he was guilty having murdered the woman when she refused to leave her husband for him while others believed his innocence labelling Sidney and Annie the bad guys in this story for framing an innocent man.

Stu held Annie close to him as she had a nightmare about that night, the image was never the same. It would switch between the people she cared about, her heart pounding as she gasped awake from her sleep noticing the sympathetic Stu watching over her. "Nothing and no one will ever hurt you, Anniebell. I'll always protect you," Stu assured her, she sniffled before cuddling into his chest letting his presence soothe her back into her slumber. Stu felt guilt, not for what he and Billy did but for the knowledge that Annie had seen and been affected by the brutal scene left behind.

He knew that Billy would spiral, that was the difference between him and Billy. Billy's control was better during their slips of sanity but he wouldn't stop his path of destruction and revenge for anything and that concerned Stu as he looked down at Annie. Stu's control was less in their slips of sanity but he would stop the moment it potentially risked Annie and their future together. And as he ran his fingers through his girlfriend's hair, he promised that he wouldn't let his or Billy's anger harm her in any way nor would he let anyone else harm her; they had to succeed, no matter what.

Sidney's former self disappeared, her sweet smiles and joking personality became an empty shell who denied intimacy due to what had happened to her mother. It had caused a rift between her and Billy, something that Annie had noticed fairly quickly though it almost seemed like Billy was relieved by her lack of intimacy with him. Tatum and Annie did their best to support their friend, spending time with her and allowing the girl to stay at their houses to escape the silent screams of her mother's ghost that haunts the Prescott home. Annie just hoped that over time that Sidney's old self with return.

Annie spent extra time with her parents, her mother especially who did her best to assure Annie that nothing would happen to her. Billy and Stu spent more time at the Dalton residence than their own homes, Stu seemed to be distant with his family and Annie was worried about what was going on at home. She had bought it up to her father, Jared had assured her that he would talk to the boy and after they had their private man to man talk, Stu seemed to smile a little brighter again. It wasn't long till Christmas came along, the air was still somber but Annie did her best to bring smiles to everyone's faces ready for the new year.
