I walk along the sidewalk sipping on my boba I got and listening to some music. I am interrupted by a tap on my shoulder. I turn to see Mina behind me with a smile on her face. Shoot Iris your Bi is showing! I realize I was blushing and turn off my phone taking my earbuds out. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you! I wanted to ask if you'd like to hang for a bit?" She asks. Hang? Hang! Iris get yourself together. "Sure sounds fun where'd you want to go?" I ask as she comes up to my side and walks. "Hm, how about...Oh! I know there's a blackberry field around here how about there?" She asks.

This unlocks a memory I had forgotten a long time ago. (will not be saying their name because it is a secret to be told later)

...

"Iris! Iris!" |blank| Calls my name. I had just fallen off of my bike. They were trying to help me learn how to ride it since I was the only one in our 1st-grade class who couldn't. "Are you ok? You fell...Woah! Look it's a blackberry field." They say looking out at the field. "Wow, it is! Hey, wanna pick some?" I ask. Next thing I know |blank| had already grabbed four of the small but yet still big compared to my small hands. They take a small bite of one and have a bright sparkle in their eye. "Wow! They're super sweet." They say. "Try one!" They say handing me one. I had gotten up and forgot about my bike and my scrapped bandaged knees, arms, and face. I took a bite and the blackberry was just as sweet as they said it was. Tears of happiness filled my eyes and I smiled at my friend.

"Iris?" Mina asks. "Are you ok?" She asks. I realize tears had been pouring from my eyes. I wipe my face and put on a small smile. "Yeah I'm fine just remembered something from my childhood I had forgotten." I say smiling. "You really do tell what's on your mind, don't you? I like that about you! Now about that blackberry field...you still in?" She asks. "Yes! Let's go." I say. We walk and talk before making it to the field. No! How could it be? It's-it's the same field... I think to myself. I fall to my knees breaking down into tears. "Iris! What's wrong you sure you're ok?" Mina asks. "It's the same one where we grew up and played and fell, got back up again, goofed off, and had fun..." I say.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" She says getting down to my level. There were only two other people there and they were way far down in the field. "I-" I studdered but couldn't say anything and was just balling my eyes out. "T-th-thank you, Mina, for bringing me here." I say hugging the pink girl. "Oh y-your welcome..." She says. I eventually cleared my face and calmed down. We did pick some blackberries, eventually, and kept them in a small basket that I bought. We walked to my house and hung out in my room. 

I remembered that my Bisexual flag was hung above my desk and that Mina, a cool girl, was walking into my room. Shoot, shoot, what do I do!!?? I ask myself. It is too late and she walks into my room. "Woah! Wait you're Bi?" She asks turning to me in the door. "Uhm...y-yeah..." I say quietly. "No way so am I I guess we were meant to be best friends!" She smiles. Wait, she actually likes me as a best friend? No one except Pony, Ochaco, Ricky, and my parents have accepted that I was Bi and not make fun or run away from me because of it. Mia was a little young to know what Bisexual meant. She just thought it meant I knew multiple people.

I just basically broke down into a state I haven't been in for like 3 years in front of this girl and she walks into my room sees my colors and accepts me for it? She really is meant to be a hero. I run to the girl hugging her. "Thank you! You don't know how many times I have been rejected and teased because of my sexuality...thank you." I say saying the last thank you a little quieter. "I know what it's like I was teased because of it too." She says hugging me back. I let go and stand wiping my face. "Sorry for all the tears I don't know what's wrong I'm never like this." I laugh wiping my face. 

"Hey, you're an artist right?" Mina asks. "Well yeah, I can draw I wouldn't say I'm an arti-" I say before being cut off. "Do you think you could draw me?" She asks. "Yeah sure!" I say smiling. I sit her down in my desk chair and sit on my bed with my pen and pencil. I finish the drawing and rip it out of my book. "Here keep it." I smile handing it to her.

"Woah this looks amazing!!" She says in awe. We hang out for a little while before Mina heads home and I go on with my day.

ok, guys so thank you for all the support!! This is actually the first book I have done that has gotten past the Sports festival Arc which I am really proud of myself for...
