"Tomorrow morning is the start of Outreach Day in Jericho so you better start sleeping," Xavier stated as he turned his back and removed his shirt. He managed to sneak you in and was successful that he didn't catch by his Housemaster.

The bed that Rowan used to sleep on was empty as you sat on Xavier's bed and gazed at it. "Must be lucky that you have this room all to yourself."

As he put on another shirt, Xavier cast a quick glance to the side of the room that was unoccupied. "Sure..." He mumbled as he decided to close the cabinet and walked over to his table, which was piled high with books, a sketchbook, and a lamp. Xavier seized his sketchbook right away and stashed it away in a drawer.

"Am I going to sleep on the other bed?" You asked as you watched Xavier walk towards the bed.

"Nope. You're sleeping beside me."

"Huh?" You blinked your eyes and saw him taking your shoes off. You watched him laying down on his bed, one arm behind his head using it as a temporary pillow. "Are you sure?" You asked as you cast your eyes across the room to the vacant bed on the other side. "I really don't mind. I don't want to take space from youβ€”"

Just as you were about to move away, Xavier grabbed your wrist and pulled you closer to him. With his other arm encircling your shoulders, you made a small squeak as you laid down next to him on his bed. He had you in his arms, and you had your arms close to your chest. You suddenly felt shy.

As he took his phone and began to browse various apps, Xavier moved his arm away from his head. You noticed him become engrossed with his phone when you looked up."You barely use your phone." You said.

"I'm mostly occupied in my sketchbook and my murals," After responding, Xavier opened the Spotify app to start searching for some music to listen to. "Besides, there's nothing to do much on my phone anyway."

"Ajax signed you up for an online dating app, yes?"

When Xavier thought back to the app that Ajax had made him download, he recoiled in horror. "I deleted that shit as soon as he signed me up. I don't like to date online."

You nodded and slowly got comfortable around him. As you fiddled with the hoodie's strings, you laid your head on his chest. "Yeah, you wouldn't know if the person you meet online is real or just playing you." You told Xavier. "For me, it's safer to date someone in person."

Xavier set down his phone and laid his hand on top of your head, playing with some strands of your hair. "Do you plan on dating someone?" He asked abruptly.

You instantly froze when the question was asked. You have never had a relationship or a crush before. Since you spent the most of your years being regularly bullied in various normie schools, you wanted to become familiar with the concept of having a crush on someone.

"I guess so..." You replied. "I-I just don't... um..."

"Don't what?"

"I can't tell if I like someone or not."

While running his hand in circles on your head and shoulders for a brief period of time, Xavier gave it some thought. "Whenever you see that person, your stomach feels funny, but a good kind of funny." Xavier made an effort to clarify in terms that were understandable to you.

Although he has experience being in a relationship, he still had a lot to learn, so it's not that he thinks you're stupid; rather, he just wants you to comprehend things easily. "Your heart flutters, you constantly think about them, you sometimes act like a fool around them, and maybe sometimes, you're jealous if they're talking to other people."

"Did you feel those things to Bianca before?"

"I did." Xavier exhaled. "But not anymore."

"So feelings go away?"

"It... does. But it doesn't go away that quickly. However, it is more difficult to get rid of those feelings when you love someone."

You stayed silent as you collected your thoughts and took in what Xavier had just said. Xavier looked down at you. "Do you have someone in mind that you probably have feelings for?"

You frowned as you wrapped Xavier's torso with your arms. "I'm still not sure." You murmured.

You felt butterflies in your stomach, but you didn't pay them any attention as Xavier chuckled. Recently, you've been experiencing a lot of things related to Xavier, but you're not sure what they all signify.

He securely hugged you and put his chin on top of your head as he engulfed you in his arms. "I think you should sleep instead of worrying," Xavier spoke while breathing deeply through his nose and inhaling the scent of your shampoo. Having you in his arms whenever he got the chance was entrancing and addictive.

Your face was buried in his chest as you clung to him more tightly. "Night-night..."

Xavier smiled. "Night-night, Alice."

"It's okay, (Y/n), darling. It's not your fault..."

Your eyes cracked open, forcing you to sit up and take a sharp inhale. As you attempted to take a few long, deep breaths, you clenched your fist to your chest. To your relief, you noticed that you were still in Xavier's room as your eyes roved over the room.

Strange dreams have been occurring to you, but you typically forget about them as soon as you wake up. But today was different since you could still clearly recall the final phrase of the dream that you had just heard before waking up.

You made a mental note to go to Jericho later and meet Dr. Kinbott.

Where Xavier's table was located, you noticed a number of drawings and paintings on show on the wall. He hangs his creations on his wall when he thinks they are masterpieces. Some of them were references to use in his sketches.

When you turned to glance at your side, Xavier was still dozing off. As you watched him stay asleep calmly and realized that it was still early, you gradually found your composure. You then retreated to your previous position next to him. His face was within reach of your hands, but you held off and instead reached for his hair. His silky brown hair was lovingly ruffled by your hand.

You may even be pleasantly surprised to discover that Xavier had no nightmares today given that he had been having them lately. Normally, he would either go to the woods to his hidden art shed or sneak past your Housemaster and talk to you when he was having nightmares.

You were too busy to notice Xavier waking up since you were engrossed with his hair. He blinked a few times to check if he was dreaming about you being in his room. However, as he felt your fingertips delicately massage his scalp, he realized it was all real and smiled. "Morning, beautiful." He greeted you with a warm smile, ignoring his raspy morning voice. "Had a good night's sleep?"

You nodded and took your hand back. "Thank you for keeping me from sleepwalking." You told, not mentioning the strange dream you just had.

"Anytime," Xavier replied. "What time is it by the way?"

"Still early."

"Figured. I haven't heard my alarm yet." Xavier pulled you close, embracing you again. "Let's sleep again."

You giggled as you tried to get away from Xavier's grasp. "I might oversleep." You complained as you gave up from struggling.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of you."

While you were still thinking, you could hear his gentle breathing on top of you. "Xavi?"

"Hm?" He hummed in question.

"Are you and Bianca gonna get back together?"

Upon hearing your query, Xavier's eyelids suddenly sprang open, astonished and completely perplexed. His fingers were still in your hair when he leaned back to gaze at you. "What gave you that idea?"

You looked at him momentarily before lowering your gaze to fumble with the strings of the hoodie you were wearing. "She came here the other day and you're both in the Nightshade Society..."

"That meant nothing."

"She still clearly likes you, Xavi." You mumbled as you tugged on the strings of yourβ€”Xavier'sβ€”hoodie. "It was obvious she wanted to get back together with you the other day."

As he watched you innocently play the strings of his hoodie, which you were donning, Xavier smirked. It was sweet and adorable to see you dressed in his clothes. "Jealous?"

Your eyes instantly rose to meet his as your eyebrows furrowed. "Iβ€”no! Just concerned. And..." You looked away once more and laid down on your back, sighing. "I just think about us drifting apart if you ever get back together with her."

Xavier rested his head on his knuckles and his elbow propped up on the mattress. "That's not gonna happen."

"Bianca hates me."

"Bianca and I are not getting back together and we won't ever drift apart." You were drawn nearer to Xavier as he enveloped you with his other arm. He laid back down and leaned his face closer to your neck. "Besides, I like someone else."

When you felt his soft gasping breaths tickle your skin, your breathing became labored. "I didn't know you like someone else now." You said. "Who is it?"

"Take a lucky guess."

You played with his hair with your fingers and frowned. "Can you at least give me a clue?"

"Mm... nope."

"Well, that's unfair."

"Just take a wild guess, Alice." Being so close to you two made it difficult for him to maintain control. You were clueless and laid back while he was going ballistic within. He refrained from telling you the truth. The fact that he likes you hasn't even been confirmed by him. He could mostly confess to himself that he began to like you more than a friend, despite the fact that there was still a little amount of denial.

"You give me a clue then I'll take the wild guess."

Your neck felt the giggle that Xavier was producing. "You only get one chance."

"Three."

"One."

"Two."

"Still one."

You pouted. "Fine."

His eyes looked up to see your face. You were still staring up at the ceiling, oblivious to how he was currently staring at you. Xavier wanted to be more than just friends, but he didn't want to destroy the relationship you two had already established.

He wanted to kiss you.

"She's..." Xavier thought for a moment. "...small."

"Wednesday." You blurted out.

When he heard your assumption, Xavier laughed in disbelief. "What?" He questioned with a laugh.

You looked at Xavier in panic. "Is it not her?"

"No!" Xavier laughed. "Well, no more chances for you, missy." He adjusted his position, moving up, so he could plant your face right into his chest. "Go to sleep."

You squirmed and flailed your arms in all directions. "Give me another chance!" Your face was shoved into his chest, so when you whined, it was muffled.

"Sleep."

You moved your head to the side, pouting heavily. Xavier glanced down and smiled, seeing how adorable your cheek was squished in his chest. In an effort to put you back to sleep, he stroked your hair with his fingers and massaged your back with his other hand.

Your eyes grew heavy, and you fell asleep as his plan seemed to be working. Upon hearing your quiet breathing and your silence, Xavier closed his eyes and dozed off as well.
