"Sheriff Milton, when was the first missing case?" Millie Winchester asked as she followed the older gentleman into his office, She readjusted the shirt she wore. "It was a few weeks back. A young boy around twelve," Sheriff Milton answered with a sad sigh, he sat down at his desk. "And the others?" Millie questioned as she sat down across from him.

"Harper, fourteen. Jesse, sixteen. Viola, nineteen. And recently, Maxine, twenty-two," Sheriff Milton responded but it was clear in his eyes that he was exhausted and pained by the town's missing people. "And whereabouts did these people go missing?" Millie asked with a sympathetic smile directed at the man.

"Around Taunton Asylum. They were last seen by the old building, it's uninhabited and unsafe with its collapsing ceilings," Sheriff Milton explained to Millie. "Agent O'Brien... You don't think this is a serial killer in my town, do you?" Sheriff Milton asked, the lost look in his eyes made her heart ache knowing that without bodies, they couldn't prove it was a killer; it simply looked like missing people which only made people uneasy.

"I will do everything in my power to bring these people home. I can't promise anything but I will stop those responsible," Millie assured the Sheriff who leaned back in his seat, She nodded her head before standing up. "The recent one... Maxine. Who was the last person to see her?" Millie asked the Sheriff. "Her brother, Trent. He claims she went to Bailey's Bar for drinks with friends but never came home," Sheriff Milton answered her.

Bobby sat at his desk with a pile of books in front of him, Sam was sitting in a chair in the opposite corner talking to Dean, who was standing while Millie lay down on the couch rubbing her temples due to the slight headache she had. "Well, then tell me what else could it be," Sam asked Dean. Dean had informed everyone about what Castiel had said including the information about Millie being able to perceive an Angel's true visage which explained the voice in her head both times Castiel was present.

"Look, all I know is I was not groped by an Angel," Dean responded to Sam making Millie scoff and roll her eyes. "You cannot be serious, Dean. Honestly, in my opinion, if Demons exist, then Angels aren't so farfetched," Millie spoke up. "Okay, look, Dean. Why do you think this Castiel would lie to you about it?" Sam asked his older brother as Millie got up to grab herself a beer.

"Maybe he's some kind of Demon. Demon's lie," Dean replied to him, though Millie was convinced he was trying to convince himself rather than the others. "A demon who's immune to salt rounds and devil's traps... and Ruby's knife? Dean, Lillith is scared of that thing!" Sam exclaimed, his words were true. "Don't you think that if Angels were real, that some Hunter somewhere would have seen one... at some point... ever?" Dean questioned as Millie gulped down some of her beer.

"Uh, yeah, Dean. Besides the fact that you did, I bet Hunters have encountered them, they probably were just people to them," Millie said. "I'm trying to come up with a theory here. Okay? Work with me," Dean asked his siblings but the twins were already convinced that Castiel was indeed an Angel, and Dean was just pushing it aside for his own sake. "Dean, we have a theory," Sam replied to him, Millie nodding in agreement with Sam's words.

"Yeah, one with a little less fairy dust on it, please," Dean argued making Millie look down before walking over to Bobby. "He's so annoying when he tries to ignore what's right in front of him," Millie said to Bobby, The older man nodded at Millie's words. "You two chuckleheads want to keep arguing religion, or do you want to come take a look at this?" Bobby asked them.

Sam and Dean walked over to Bobby's desk, "I got stacks of lore... Biblical, pre-Biblical. Some of it's in damn cuneiform. It all says an Angel can snatch a soul from the pit." Millie bit her lip as she saw the look of denial in his eyes. "What else?" Dean asked him. "What else, what?" Bobby questioned him. "What else could do it?" Dean inquired further.

"Airlift your ass out of the hot box? As far as I can tell, nothing," Bobby answered him. "Dean, this is good news," Sam told him with a smile. "How?" Dean turned to Sam. "Because for once, this isn't just another round of Demon crap. I mean, maybe you were saved by one of the good guys, you know?" Sam expressed to him.

"Don't trust them... they aren't the good guys... don't trust the Angels," A soft melody-esque voice echoed through Millie's mind, She frowned slightly as the headache she had suddenly faded away leaving her in peace. "Okay. Say it's true. Say there are Angels. Then what? There's a God?" Dean questioned them all.

"At this point, Vegas money's on yeah," Bobby told Dean honestly, he and Millie had already had a conversation about this; Millie firmly believed in Angels, but it didn't mean she trusted them. "I don't know, guys," Dean said, holding onto the last little sliver of hope that this wasn't Angels; 'cause if it is Angels, then where have they been when the world was going to Hell, why haven't they done anything?

"Okay, look. I know you're not all choirboy about this stuff, but this is becoming less and less about faith and more and more about proof," Sam expressed to Dean hoping to convince him of the obvious answers to his question. "Proof?" Dean questioned as Millie finished her beer, Sam nodding his head.

"Proof that there's a God out there that actually gives a crap about me personally? I'm sorry, I'm not buying it," Dean argued while Millie frowned at the amount of self-doubt in his eyes and it made Millie's heart hurt. "I mean, I've saved some people, okay? I figured that made up for the stealing and the ditching chicks. But why do I deserve to get saved? I'm just a regular guy," Dean told them.

"Apparently, you're a regular guy that's important to the man upstairs," Sam said. "Or at least important to some cause, we don't know what this could be about. Don't have high expectations, but don't lower them either. There could be many reasons, let's just be thankful that you're back," Millie voiced as she looked directly at Dean, his eyes locked with his little sisters and he saw the hope pooling in them; she always had faith.

If only Dean realized that her faith is in her family ─ in him. "Well, that creeps me out. I mean, I don't like getting singled out at birthday parties, much less by... God," Dean stated in response to the twins' comments. "Okay, well, too bad, Dean, because I think he wants you to strap on your party hat," Sam told him with a smirk on his face.

"Fine. What do we know about Angels?" Dean questioned them prompting Bobby to pick up a pile of thick and heavy-looking books and put them in front of Dean. "Start reading," Bobby instructed making Dean look at him exasperated, he turned to Sam, "You're gonna get me some pie." Dean grabbed a book from the top of the pile while Millie grabbed the next one, She moved to sit on the couch. "Want anything?" Sam asked Millie who thought for a moment before looking up at Sam, "I'd love some glazed donuts." Sam nodded before he left.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

"Now, Trent, what exactly did your sister say to you when you last saw her?" Millie asked as she sat down on the couch. "Uh, Maxine told me she was meeting up with friends for a few drinks and then she'd be coming home. She promised to send me a message before she left the bar," Trent explained to Millie who nodded, She could remember growing up and telling Dean where she went all the time, even if he didn't enforce it, she felt safer knowing he knew where she was.

"Now did Maxine send you any messages or is there anyone who she may have gotten sidetracked with? Possibly forgotten to send a message?" Millie suggested but Trent was quick to shake his head. "No, no... Maxine was cautious in everything she did. Maxine didn't have a boyfriend and she barely had friends," Trent replied as he ran his fingers through his auburn hair.

"Okay. What about her friends? Have they said anything to you?" Millie questioned, She had a theory about the asylum as many ─ including Maxine's friends ─ had mentioned the old building being an interest of the missing woman's due to her love of history and architecture. "Uh, no... I mean, Lydia claimed that she had seen Maxine walk to her car and drive away but that's all," Trent told her as he looked down at the photo of him and his sister, tears welling in his eyes.

"Did your sister have any enemies or potential stalkers? Maybe you or her have noticed strange behavior from others?" Millie questioned causing Trent to furrow his brows. "No. Maxine keeps to herself and she never really paid any mind to anyone. No enemies, no stalkers or strange behavior," Trent answered while Millie looked down at the photos before noticing a familiar face.

"Isn't that Viola Barnes? The girl who went missing before Maxine?" Millie asked Trent who looked at the photo before sighing. "Uh, yeah. Maxine and Viola were best friends. When Viola went missing, Maxine was pretty distraught," Trent expressed as he flipped the page to show another photo of Viola and Maxine standing together in front of the very asylum that Millie had a bad feeling about.

"Trent, do you remember what Viola was doing the night she went missing by any chance?" Millie asked him with hopeful eyes. "She was doing a video of the old asylum, the two were obsessed with the place. It's why everyone stays away now," Trent answered Millie giving her the answer that she needed, the asylum will have the solution.

Once Sam returned to Bobby's, the Winchester siblings and Bobby headed out again to check up on a friend of Bobby's who hadn't been answering his calls. Dean approached the driver's side of the car while Millie climbed into the back seat, she immediately reached for the paper bag that held her glazed donut in it.

Dean grabs the bag of food Sam bought back and looks inside it before frowning, "Dude?" Sam furrowed his brows, "What?" Dean looked up at his younger brother, "Where's the pie?" Millie laughed, "He always forgets the pie." Dean grumbled under his breath about Sam never forgetting Millie's donuts as he followed behind Bobby's car.

After four hours of Millie being zoned out enjoying the classics playing from Dean's stereo, they had arrived at Bobby's friend's home. Bobby enters the house armed with a gun followed by Dean, Sam, and Millie who are also armed and ready; they search for Olivia Lowry. They turn the corner and spot Olivia's body covered in blood on the floor, Bobby storms out of the room while Millie takes notice of the injuries she'd only seen done by spirits and poltergeists.

"Salt line," Sam says as he points to the doorway, Millie sighed. "I'll take a wild guess and say she was dealing with a haunting," Millie expressed as the boys looked around, Dean picked up the EMF reader agreeing with Millie's words. "Olivia was rocking the EMF meter," Dean pointed out as Millie stepped back from the woman's body. "Spirit activity," Sam confirmed as the EMF reader began spiking like crazy. "Yeah ─ on steroids. I've never seen a ghost do this to a person," Dean replied while Millie crossed her arms and looked up at her older brother.

"I have... usually it's personal anger. Typically for a spirit to cause this, they'd have to know the person," Millie explained to Dean and Sam. "That doesn't ease me, Millie," Dean replied as he looked around, Bobby entered the room again, his phone in his hand. "Bobby, you all right?" Dean asked their father. "I called some hunters nearby..." Bobby began causing Dean to speak up, "Good. We can use their help." But Millie saw the look in Bobby's eyes, she had a terrible feeling about this whole thing.

"...Except they ain't answering their phones either," Bobby finished off confirming Millie's concerns. "Something's up, huh?" Sam asked making Millie mentally facepalm, it was obvious as day. "You think?" Bobby asked sarcastically before walking out of the room, Millie frowned knowing that the deaths would be affecting Bobby. The Winchester siblings shared concerned looks before heading out of the house, Millie pulled out her phone and began making calls hoping to get in touch with someone.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

"You're not an FBI agent?" Trent asked as he paced the floor in front of Millie, She sat unbothered as she ate her glazed donut allowing the man in front of her to process what she had told him. "And you hunt monsters and ghosts?" Trent asked her, Millie nodded.

After her talk with Trent, she had gone into the asylum during the day ─ knowing the activity was dangerous at night ─ and had EMF readings that went wild, She had found the same necklace that Maxine wore the night she went missing; she realized that her best shot at this was to tell Trent the entire truth just in case things went south and without backup, she needed someone to watch her back.

"And you're telling me that some... ghost has kidnapped my sister and the only way to save her is to go into the asylum and kill the ghost─How do you kill a ghost?" Trent asked with wide eyes, The brunette smiled softly at the way he was responding; at least he wasn't calling her insane. "Salt and burn the bones or whatever item they're attached to," Millie answered him in a calm tone, She knew he'd take time but the sunset was coming quickly and they needed to move quickly.

"Look, it's your choice. But your sister's best chance is if we both go in. Rock salt buck shots hurt ghosts, and iron too. You can help me or... pray for me," Millie told him with a smirk. "And you're sure about this?" Trent asked with a hesitant expression. "One hundred percent," Millie assured him with a determined look.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

The boys split off from Bobby and Millie, The separate duo headed off to other homes belonging to Hunter's only to find them in similar conditions to Olivia Lowry leaving Bobby and Millie distraught, These were people they knew and worked with; people who taught Millie new tricks and normal things about life outside hunting and now they were gone. Millie was sitting on the stairs of Bobby's home, her eyes on her phone screen going down the list of names that had perished at the hands of spirits.

She turned her phone off and threw it at the wall in anger before walking up the stairs into the room she had made her own. Millie rested her hands on her desk as she sniffled, tears falling silently down her cheeks as she looked up into the vanity mirror. Her brows furrowed when she noticed her breath in front of her, The room went cold as the mirror frosted over causing alarm bells to ring through Millie's head. She turned to grab her shotgun when a force tossed it away from her reach before a familiar face appeared.

"Hello, Amelia," Trent's voice made her heart race, she took in steady breaths. "T-Trent... You know that I'm sorry for what happened," Millie told him as she tried to find something to defend herself with against a ghost. "You left me to die," Trent snapped at her before using his ghost force to push her against the wall, "You used me as bait to save yourself!" Millie couldn't find the words to say, she tried to say something but she held blame over herself for not getting to Trent that day; she didn't know that it was two spirits working together.

"I'm so sorry..." Millie whimpered as Trent clenched his fist causing Millie's throat to tighten, she began gasping for air as teara flowed down her face. "P-please..." Millie whimpered as black spots appeared in her vision, she felt her head become heavy as her lungs screamed for air when suddenly, she dropped to the ground. "Millie!" Dean exclaimed, he dropped down to her and held her close as she greedily gasped for air, her lungs burned but she didn't care. "It's all my fault... I killed him... I screwed up," Millie muttered making Dean frown, he hadn't seen the spirit before and connected it to a case that Millie had worked by herself. "Come on, let's get you downstairs," Dean told her before helping her to her feet.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

"You came?" Millie stated with a stunned expression as she closed the trunk of her car, she leaned back against it as Trent approached her with a small smile. "If my sister was in my place, she'd do whatever it took to save me," Trent replied with an anxious tone. "You need to be prepared for the worst, Trent. You don't have to go in there with me," Millie assured him but his eyes hardened. "I need to know what happened to her, Amelia. I have to find out," Trent said as he stepped forward, "So I'm coming with you or I'm going in by myself." Millie sighed before relenting, it was safer for him to be with her rather than alone.

After giving him a quick run down of how to handle himself against ghosts and what to be cautious of, the two headed into the old Asylum with shotguns in their hands. They were slowly making their way through the abandoned building, Millie noticed how on edge Trent was but knew nothing she said would ease him so she stayed quiet and focused on the sounds around her. It was moments like these that she missed her brothers, especially Dean who would always know how to lighten the mood. "What was that?" Trent asked when the two heard the sound of running.

Millie turned her head in time to see a large man running towards her, she quickly shoved Trent away as the ghost collided with her, shoving her into a room before the door slammed shut. "Amelia!! Amelia!!" Trent called as he slammed his fist against the door, turning the knob with no success. Trent turned his head to see a nurse standing there with a sadistic grin before she raised her hand and sent Trent flying into the wall knocking him unconscious. "Not safe..." The large man whimpered to Millie as she backed away from him. "My friend is out there," Millie replied softly as the spirit blocked the doorway.

"NOT SAFE!" The man screamed at Millie before using his mind to slam her against the wall when she reached for her shotgun. "Okay, okay... not safe," Millie replied to him, the man was pacing in front of her with a fearful look. "I want to help. I want to stop the bad one," Millie cautiously spoke, with every second wasted, Trent was in danger. "No, no, no, no, no..." The man repeated as he began hitting himself in the head. Millie let out a breath realising their was no getting through to the spirit. "What would Dean do?" Millie whispered to herself before looking around the small room.

"He'd never have been in this situation," Millie scolded herself quietly, she sniffled as she tried to push her emotions away; she hadn't broken down yet and she wouldn't when Trent needed her. A distant scream shook the room, Millie looked up at the man who whimpered and rushed into the wall disappearing causing Millie to drop to the ground. She grabbed her shotgun and rushed toward the door, she opened it and peeked out into the hall noticing that it seemed mute in sound. Millie made her way down the corridor and found the shotgun that Trent had, her heart dropped to her stomach seeing the blood near it.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

Millie sat with her knees to her chest, tears silently falling down her face as she, her brothers and Bobby hid in Bobby's panic room made of iron and salt. Dean kept glancing at his little sister with worried eyes, she hadn't spoken a word and it was clear that the spirit that attacked her was important to her. He shoved the book aside and walked over to her, sitting on the bed next to her before opening his arms for her. Millie sniffled as she turned her head to him, he subtly nodded before she leaned into his embrace letting him wrap his arms around her protectively.

"It's gonna be okay, Mills. You'll see that for yourself," Dean reassured her. It wasn't long till Millie had fallen asleep from exhaustion, her light snores eased the men in the room and Dean was careful to move her to lay more comfortably on the bed. "See, this is why I can't get behind God," Dean suddenly spoke as he leaned against the bed keeping his hand in Millie's just like he did when they were younger and she had nightmares. "What are you talking about?" Sam asked handing Dean the book he had shoved aside so he could help search for the branding they saw on the spirits.

"If he doesn't exist, fine. Bad crap happens to good people. That's how it is. There's no rhyme or reason ─ just random, horrible, evil ─ I get it, okay. I can roll with that," Dean began rambling before sighing, "But if he is out there, what's wrong with him? Where the hell is he while all these decent people are getting torn to shreds? How does he live with himself? You know, why doesn't he help?" Sam was silent, he didn't know how to respond to his older brother as he glanced at his twin sister, his frown deepened. "I ain't touching this one with a 10-foot pole," Bobby expressed to Dean and Sam.

"Yeah..." Dean breathed out before turning his head to Millie, she shivered for a moment before relaxing again. "Found it," Bobby spoke up, his eyes focused on the book in front of him. "What?" Sam questioned. "The symbol you saw ─ the brand on the ghosts..." Bobby answered him looking from Sam to Dean, "Mark of the Witnesses." The Winchester brothers shared a look before looking back at Bobby. "Witness? Witness to what?" Sam inquired further as Millie slowly began to wake up from her short nap, her hearing focused on what Bobby was saying though her eyes stayed closed.

"The unnatural. None of them died what you'd call ordinary deaths. See, these ghosts ─ they were forced to rise. They woke up in agony. They were like rabid dogs. It ain't their fault. Someone rose them... on purpose," Bobby expressed to them. "Who?" Sam asked like Bobby had all the answers. "Do I look like I know? But whoever it was used a spell so powerful it left a mark, a brand on their souls. Whoever did this had big plans. It's called "the rising of the witnesses". It figures into an ancient prophecy," Bobby explained to the brothers. "Wait, wait. What ─ what book is that prophecy from?" Dean asked.

"Revelations," Millie groggily spoke, her voice raspy from sleep and crying. "It's a sign of the apocalypse. One of many seals and at the end of those seals is the release of the great serpent," Millie continued remembering what she was told in her teen years, the boy had been fairly obsessed with religion and when Millie showed interest, he was more than willing to tell her all he knew; he seemed almost passionate about it, like he was there when it was written. "Great serpent?" Sam asked his twin. "The devil, Lucifer," Millie answered him with a shrug, "At least that's what I know."

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

Millie was quiet in her steps, she was trying to ignore the racing of her heart as she searched the rooms for any sign of Trent. She had a terrible feeling in her gut but she refused to acknowledge it because she couldn't believe that Trent was possibly dead because she screwed up. She finally reached a room that appeared colder than the rest, she walked in cautiously before noticing the cabinet ahead was opened slightly with a bloody handprint that clearly was recent. Millie quickly moved towards it and opened the cabinet with her foot, her eyes widened upon seeing bones hidden away.

"Naughty girl, aren't you?" A rapsy feminine voice caught her attention, she turned to see a nurse standing there with a sadistic grin. "You are gonna be better soon, dearie," The nurse spoke before tossing the shotgun from Millie's hand followed by her throwing Millie across the room into a wall. She groaned from the pain before pulling out her iron dagger, once the spirit got close enough she swung out and cut through her making it disappear. Knowing she had limited time, Millie rushed toward the cabinet and pulled her small carton of salt from her pocket and covered the bones before grabbing her lighter.

"You're being bad," The nurse spoke, she had returned quicker than Millie anticipated and it left her being thrown back by her. Millie screamed as the spirit shoved her hand into her chest, her fingers enclosed over her heart causing Millie to gasp for breath; she tried to fight off the spirits force but with not success. "Leave her alone!" Trent's voice caught Millie's attention, she watched as he tackled the nurse freeing Millie from her trapped position. "Quick, Amelia! Now!" Trent called out, Millie rushed forward and used her lighter to set the bones on fire.

She turned in time to see the nurse burn up while screaming until she disappeared, Millie fell back against the wall and took in greedy breaths of air. "Amelia?" Trent spoke gaining her attention, she turned to him as he flickered. "No, no, no, no..." Millie whimpered as she looked up at him, tears filling her eyes. "It's okay, Amelia. I'm gonna be okay," Trent assured her before she watched his body turn into a small ball of light before fading away. The formerly cold and mute building felt less foreboding and more at peace as Millie stumbled her way out. She stopped by the doors before deciding she'd burn the entire building down; ensuring all spirits were dealt with.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

"Apocalypse? The Apocalypse, Apocalypse? The Four Horsemen, pestilence, $5-a-gallon-gas Apocalypse?" Dean asked after they had processed what Millie told them. "That's the one. The Rise of the Witnesses is a ─ a mile marker," Bobby responded to Dean. "Okay, so, what do we do now?" Sam asked them. "Road trip. Grand Canyon, Star Trek Experience, Bunny Ranch. Diagon Alley for Mills," Dean answered Sam bringing a small smile to Millie's face over the fact that Dean remembered her love for Harry Potter. "First things first. How about we survive our friends out there?" Bobby asked.

"Great. Any ideas aside from staying in this room until Judgement Day?" Dean asked their figurative father. "It's a spell--" Bobby indicates the paper in front of him, "--to send the witnesses back to rest. Should work." Millie let out a shaky breath, she looked down at the book in front of her before closing her eyes. "Should... great," Sam commented. "If I translate it correctly. I think I got everything we need here at the house," Bobby told the Winchester siblings. "Any chance you got everything we need here in this room?" Dean asked sheepishly, he knew it wouldn't work out that way but it was worth a shot.

"So, you thought our luck was gonna start now all of a sudden? Spell's got to be cast over an open fire," Bobby replied to Dean who sighed before turning to Millie when she stepped up next to him. "The fireplace in the library," Sam stated with Bobby nodding. "That's just not as appealing as a, uh, ghost-proof panic room, you know?" Dean said sheepishly, Millie agreeing before moving toward the door. "Maybe you should stay in here while we do this," Sam told his twin, she turned to him with furrowed brows. "No way, I'm helping," Millie replied but it was clear Sam was hesitant. "You need the extra firepower, Sammy. I'm helping," Millie said sternly.

"All right. Cover each other. And aim careful. Don't run out of ammo until I'm done, or they'll shred you. Ready?" Bobby asked them, the three Winchesters nodded. "And Millie," Bobby spoke looking at the woman he viewed as his daughter. "Yeah, Pops?" Millie asked him, she hoped he wouldn't tell her to stay back. "Don't let whatever is said get to you," Bobby said sternly, she nodded knowing what he meant because she did have a habit of letting things get to her resulting in her bottling it down only to explode at a later date; something she learned from Dean himself.

They made their way out of the panic room and head towards the stairs out of the basement. A ghost, however, sits on the stairs, a young man in his early twenties with curly hair. Millie frowned recognizing the face of Ronald, a man they met on a shifter job where the Winchesters were viewed as armed bank robbers; he had been shot on the job and Millie saw how Dean carried the guilt of his death. "Hey, Dean. You remember me?" Ronald asked Dean specifically. "Ronald, huh? With the laser eyes? I wish I could say it's good to see you," Dean replied to him though Ronald was unimpressed.

"I am dead because of you. You were supposed to help me!" Ronald snapped at Dean who was immediately hit with guilt from those words. Bobby shoots Ronald with a rock salt bullet, the siblings looked at him. "If you're gonne shoot, shoot. Don't talk," Bobby told them before they walked upstairs and headed into the living room. Sam was quick to create a salt circle while Dean starts the fire, Millie held her gun tight in her hands prepared to keep this encounter professional. "Upstairs, linen closet ─ red hex box. It'll be heavy," Bobby instructed Sam, he nodded before heading upstairs.

Two girls appeared before them, "Bobby." Dean and Millie were quick to shoot both of them, Millie frowning knowing the story behind the twin girls Bobby couldn't save. "Kitchen. Cutlery drawer. It's a false bottom. Hemlock, opium, wormwood," Bobby ordered Dean who furrowed his brows before asking, "Opium?" Millie shoved him, the twin girls appeared again as Dean left for the kitchen. Bobby is drawing with chalk on the desk and tries to focus on it while the girls are there. "Bobby. You walked right by us while that monster ate us up," One of them said before the other spoke, "You could have saved us." Millie shot the twins.

The doors between the living room and kitchen slammed shut blocking Dean from getting to Bobby and Millie. "Dean?" Millie called out with a fearful expression. "I'm all right, Millie! Bobby, keep working!" Dean called back to them. "Oh, Amelia~" Trent's voice sang as he appeared in front of her, "You left me to die. You lied to me. My sister wasn't even there. You used me as bait." Millie closed her eyes as Bobby shot Trent, he disappeared and Millie nodded at Bobby who continued the spell despite his worry for Millie. "Dean?!" Millie called hearing a gunshot before spotting both brothers approaching them.

Ronald reappeared as Dean is reloading his gun, "Ronald. Hey, come on, man. I thought we were pals." Millie was reloading her own gun as she glanced at Dean and Ronald. "That's when I was breathing. Now I'm gonna eat you alive," Ronald threatened him. "Well... come on, I'm not a cheeseburger," Dean replied to Ronald, he cocks his gun and points it at Ronald only to notice that he had vanished. Bobby recites some Latin words and the windows are shattered allowing wind to fill the room and blow away the salt circle protecting them.

Meg appears and Sam quickly shoots her as Bobby continues to recite the spell, Millie's heart aches at the sight of Meg, she could remember seeing the poor girls broken body in the very room they were in. Ronald appears and they shoot at him quickly, Trent appearing by Millie's side but Dean was quick to pull her to him while Sam shot Trent. Henriksen knocks Dean's gun out of his hands when he is reloading and approaches him, Dean grabs another gun and shoots it only to find it empty. He quickly picks up an iron rod and hits at Henriksen as Meg appears and pushes Sam against the wall, trapping him there with a desk.

Millie was grabbed by Trent amidst her brothers trying to help each other, Trent shoved her against the wall and he shoves his hand into her chest, enclosing his fingers around her heart constricted it. "AMELIA!!" The boys shouted out loud. "The... spell..." Millie pushed out through her pain, she pulled her trusty iron dagger from her pocket. "I will always be... sorry... for what I did..." Millie forced out before slicing at Trent making him disappear, she dropped to her knees just as Dean throws the bowl into the fire which turns blue causing the spirits to disappear.

"Let me get this straight? You found Maxine and Viola a few states over?" Millie asked the Sheriff who nodded his head. "It turns out that they ran away to be together because niether of their families were okay with them being together," Sheriff Milton answered Millie who immediately looked down with a frown. The other missing people have been proven to be in the Asylum when they had managed to stop the blaze and find the little remains they could. "Maxine has been informed that her brother had died in the Asylum," Sheriff Milton told Millie with a solemn expression, Millie cleared her throat.

"Well it seems this case is closed now," Millie stated as they had claimed the deaths as accidents within the Asylum. "Yes. I'd like to take you for your assistance. It's comforting to know that my town isn't dealing with a serial killer," Sheriff Milton told Millie who sent him a forced smile. They said their farewells and Millie headed to the motel room she was staying in, closing the door behind her before frowning. She sniffled before reaching for her phone and dialing Sam's number. "The number you have called is unavailable," The robotic voice said only making Millie's heart hurt. "I need you, Dean..." Millie whimpered.

· · ─────── ·✦ʚɞ✦· ─────── · ·

Later that night, Millie is asleep in her room upstairs while Sam is asleep on the couch, Dean sleeping on the floor after the days crazy events. Dean wakes up to find Castiel standing in the kitchen, Dean checks on Sam before walking over to the supposed Angel. "Excellent job with the witnesses," Castiel complimented Dean. "You were hip to all this?" Dean asked him incredulously. "I was, uh, made aware," Castiel responded to him. "Well, thanks a lot for the angelic assistance. You know, my sister almost got her heart ripped out of her chest," Dean told the Angel with an unimpressed expression on his face.

"But she didn't," Castiel replied simply. "I thought Angels were supposed to be guardians. Fluffy wings, halos ─ you know, Michael Landon. Not dicks," Dean expressed to Castiel. "Read the bible. Angels were warriors of God. I'm a soldier," Castiel responded in a stoic tone. "Yeah? Then why didn't you fight?" Dean asked him. "I'm not here to perch on your shoulder. We had larger concerns," Castiel answered. "Concerns? There were people getting torn to shreds down here! And, by the way, while all this is going on, where the hell is your boss, huh, if there is a God?" Dean inquired further.

"There's a God," Castiel confirmed. "I'm not convinced. 'Cause if there's a God, what the hell is he waiting for, huh? Genocide? Monsters roaming the earth? The freaking Apocalypse? At what point does he lift a damn finger and help the poor bastards that are stuck down here?" Dean asked Castiel who appeared unbothered by Dean's questions. "The Lord works--" Castiel is cut off by Dean, "If you say "mysterious ways", so help me, I will kick your ass. So, Bobby and Millie were right... about the witnesses. This is some kind of a... sign of the Apocalypse," Dean said.

"That's why we're here. Big things afoot," Castiel stated plainly. "Do I want to know what kind of things?" Dean asked Castiel. "I sincerely doubt it, but you need to know. The Rising of the Witnesses is one of the 66 seals," Castiel told him making him realise that Millie had been right about the seals, he have to ask her more about what she knew. "Millie was right," Dean muttered catching Castiel's attention. "She knows of the seals?" Castiel asked Dean who noticed the confusion on Castiel's face. "She mentioned it, said that the seals release the "great serpent" from captivity," Dean answered Castiel who looked deep in thought.

"These seals are being broken by Lillith," Castiel spoke after a moment, he decided that he would speak with his superior to understand how Millie was well versed in this when her family was not. "She did the spell? She rose those witnesses?" Dean questioned further, he wasn't happy to hear about the demon that essentially killed him and hurt his younger siblings was doing this. "Mm-hmm. And not just here. Twenty other hunters are dead," Castiel informed Dean who appeared shock by the news. "Of course. She picked victims that the hunters couldn't save so that they would barrel right after us," Dean exclaimed, worried for his sister.

"Lillith has a certain sense of humor," Castiel commented. "Well, we put those spirits to rest," Dean informed Castiel. "It doesn't matter. The seal was broken," Castiel replied with a shrug. "Why break the seal anyway?" Dean asked, he was hoping that Millie's theory about Lucifer wasn't true. "You think of the seals as locks on a door," Castiel replied, Dean already worried about the direction of this topic. "Okay. Last one opens and..." Dean trailed off for Castiel to finish his sentence, "Lucifer walks free." Dean sighed as he realised that Millie was right and things were about to get a whole lot more complicated.
