"So you're not going to tell him?" Troy asked while fixing his hair.

"I would've been able to but you're the reason this whole thing is over anyways"

"That's on you guys and it's been months, he shut us out. There's nothing to do about it anymore." Troy summarized but his calm composure was just to hide how much he really missed his best friend.

"Don't we deserve it?"

"Yeah but I don't think he's ok, he's off tik for four months"

"Don't remind me it's been that long, he still texts me every now and then but just about nothing."

"He hasn't talked to me either, I haven't got a word." Troy stared at his iPhone, trapped with his thoughts. "I mean we probably shouldn't be talking to each other but your situation..."

vinnie sat rested in nias lap as her finger combed through his fluffy dandelion hair. "So you and ray."

"You know I don't talk about her."

"Except when you do every single second."

"Nia I'm serious."

"So are you I'm sorry to be manipulative but I'm not playing games anymore. You love ray and she loves you. It's literally 2+2. Y'all must not know how to add."

The only reason vinnie wanted to stop hearing her name was he could still hear her cries, they were the worst thing he could endure. he held her in his arms, tightly, and tucked the hair behind her ear.He didn't want to let go, her hand was in his binding them together.

Her coconut shampoo made him vacate to a place where he could just think of the two of them. But it always ended in seeing his best friend with her.

He let go.

"How are you not bothered by her and troy?" Vinnie asked, staring at the ceiling in wonder."

"Cuz he's clearly in love with me and with you.. I guess and he'd never do something dumb because I'd murder the boy."

"So you're close huh???"

"Chill. You should've set me up with him instead of us getting together."

"Yeah it would've saved us a lot of time. But you have a crushhhh."

Vinnie grew silent, "no, it's just every time I see her and him and its not just that. I've been cheated on before. It's just not right. She's different and she didn't cheat but when I look her in the eyes I see her as all the girls that did that to me. I know it's weird but it's true. I just wish she didn't go away at the same time." Vinnies eyes were closed as if he were wandering in his mind.

"I didn't know that but you have to remember she's not them. If you can forgive me you can forgive her... she didn't go away. You left her. You broke up with her."

"It was a mistake.. maybe?"

"I just need time."

It was probably the last thing he said to her before he broke it off, her eyes were red and she could only see vinnie faintly but the image still crushed her.

"Maybe? It was."

"I told her I needed time."

"Go buy some clocks."

"Ha..ha funny."
