Mia looks down at her folded hands. "Uh...so..." she shifts her eyes to her mother's. "I didn't get any to my top colleges." she admits.

Nora inhales. "The envelopes came in a few weeks ago, I just...I never told you and...I'm sorry." she says. "But...I applied to Brown, I just...I haven't heard from them yet."

"Mia, sweetie...you don't have to apologize to me." Nora gently touches Mia's hands.

"I just...I've been distracted and...I either waited too long or they just didn't like me." Mia chuckles.

Mia gnaws on her lower lip. "I've been...seeing things, too." she states.

"Wh-what do you mean...seeing things?" Nora asks.

"B-Bryce...I've been saying Bryce, Monty, and...myself." Mia says quietly.

Nora's face goes slack, "Mia, are you okay? I mean...do you need to see your therapist again?" she asks.

Mia closes her eyes and shakes her head, "N-No, I just...I know how much you've been worrying about me and...we haven't talked lately." the short-haired brunette looks down at her hands.

Nora lightly squeezes her daughter's hand. "You're almost an adult, Mia...there are things that you want to keep to yourself and I understand that." she nods her head. "It bothers me sometimes when I can't talk to you, but I get it."

Mia bites the inside of her cheek, "Thank you." she nods. "Also...I'm dating Clay again..." the brunette admits. "We snuck around the week we had off of school."

Nora arches her brow, "You and...Clay Jensen?" she asks.

Mia shrugs, "The only Clay I know." she chuckles softly. Mia notices her mother's blank expression.

"Are you...okay?" she asks.

Nora looks at her daughter, "As long as you're happy, then I'm happy, Mia." she tilts her head. "Are you...happy?" she asks.

Mia presses her lips together, "I am." she nods her head. "I really am."

Nora smiles, "Good, then I'm happy."

The brunette rubs her ear. "Uh, mom...I actually--I need your help with something." She states. "I want to go to prom."

Nora blinks, "You...You want to go to...prom?" she asks.

Mia chuckles, "Everybody seems a little surprised by it, but...yes. I want to go to prom." she says.

Nora smirks, "All right...what do you need me to do?"

Mia peaks around the corner, her eyes on the lockers. "What, are you doing?" Gwen asks loudly.

Mia's eyes widen, she grabs her friends arm and tugs her towards the wall. "Yeah, I love this." Gwen whispers, sarcasm in her voice. "What are you looking at?"

Mia taps her lower lip, "I am waiting for..." her eyes widen as she sees Clay walk over to his locker. "Here it is! Here it is!" she squeals.

Gwen blinks, "Did you just fucking...squeal?" she asks.

Mia rolls her eyes, "Did you just fucking squeal?" Mia mocks Gwen in a deep voice. She turns to Gwen. "Maybe." Mia answers.

Gwen chuckles and shakes her head. Gwen peaks around the corner and sees Clay opening his locker. A paper falls out of the locker and lands on the ground. Clay looks around, he picks the paper up and starts to read it.

"I like you a lot...you know it's true and together we make two..." Mia whispers.

"You're very handsome. I love everything about you...so I have a question. I know it's out of the blue. I don't need a date to prom, but I want one. I want you." Mia finishes.

"Dude, that's the cutest fucking thing in the world." Gwen whispers.

Mia shushes the girl next to her. Mia smiles as she sees the smile on Clay's face. "What now?" Gwen asks.

Mia's smile falls, Gwen was right. What was she supposed to do now? "I don't know..." Mia whispers. She looks at her friend with wide eyes. "I just...I wrote the letter and I put it in his locker, what am I supposed to do now?" she asks, her breathing quickening.

"Go talk to him..." Gwen says.

Mia nods her head, "Yeah...okay..." she slowly stands up. The brunette slowly walks over to Clay.

"Just talk to him, talk to him, talk to him..." Mia blinks. "Hi!" she holds her hand up.

Clay looks at Mia and sees that her face was red. "Hi..." he walks over to her.

Mia smiles softly she points at the letter in his hand. "Oh, you uh...you read the poem that I..." she swallows and starts to nervously laugh. "I'm sorry..." she looks down at her shoes.

Clay laughs quietly, "Mia, you're fine." he chuckles and scratches his head. "Uh...I actually had something that I wanted to show you--"

"Oh, My God." Mia covers her mouth and lightly chuckles. "I took away your promposal." she groans. "I just said promposal." she scoffs.

"No, you didn't take my...promposal..." Clay winces as he says the word.

Mia slowly nods her head. "Okay...do you still want to show me?" she asks.

"Yes..." Clay looks up at the girl behind them.

Mia turns around and her eyes widen. "Whoa..." she exhales.

Mia looks at the burger on the plate that Gwen was holding. The sesame seeds saying, 'Prom?'

Mia chuckles, "Holy Shit!" She looks at Clay. "Yes!"

"How did you get the sesame seeds to--"

"It took awhile, but...it was worth it." Clay smiles.

"Also, yes...I would like to go to prom with you too." He says.

Mia smiles. "You two just had a double promposal." Gwen pouts her lip. "Cute." She looks down at the burger.

"Are either of you gonna eat this?"

"I just...I feel like I should stay home with you." Clay walks back over to Justin.

"Dude, it's your senior prom...Mia wants to go." Justin chuckles.

"She'll understand." Clay states. "A-Are you sure you can't come for a little bit? Charlie got an eight-person limo." Clay states.

"Is it somewhat gay that you're going with the two of them?" Justin asks.

"Okay. A, so what if it were? Would you love me any less? B, I'm going with Mia. And C, it's actually sort of the opposite of gay because Alex asked me and Mia to tag along cause I think he's afraid Charlie's gonna make a move." Clay explains to his brother, he walks over to the mirror and grabs the blazer off the mirror.

"Mm. Yeah. He is super known for his hands." Justin nods, his eyes on his books.

He slips the blazer on his, "So, there you go." Clay sighs.

"Yeah, no, I don't really feel like it, and I can't manage to give a shit about the whole thing." Justin shrugs. He looks back at his book, a thought coming across his mind. "Jess is going with Ani, right?" Justin asks.

Clay nods his head, "Yep." he answers, buttoning his blazer up.

A knock is heard on the door. Clay turns and walks over to the door. He opens the door and his mouth slightly opens. "Oh, wow!" he swallows.

"Wow...Clay Jensen you look spruce." She starts to button his blazer up.

"Mia, you look...beautiful." He says, barely able to talk. The brunette was wearing a blue dress, her short hair curled, dark eye shadow surrounding her eyes.

Clay steps aside and lets Mia enter the house. her eyes land on Justin and she bites the inside of her cheek. "Hey, J. You okay?" she asks.

"I'm good...you look nice, Mia." He says.

Mia chuckles, "Thank you...are yo...are you sure you don't want to come with us?" she asks.

"I'm sure, I just want to get some rest." Justin sighs. He coughs and lays on his side.

A honking is heard outside. Mia sighs, "Justin, we're worried about you." she says.

With his eyes closed, Justin replies, "Yeah I'm worried about me too."

Mia presses her lips together. "If you need anything, Dad's in the house." Clay states.

Justin waves his hand at them. Mia and Clay look at each other. They leave the room.

The brunette sighs quietly as soon as the door behind them closes. "Hey..." Clay says.

Mia looks at him, she gives him a small smile. "We're gonna have fun tonight." she nods her head.

Clay smirks, "We are."
