THE DE DYTER FAMILY'S  ancient lineage was deeply woven into the fabric of Guyenne, their presence as familiar as the rolling hills and winding rivers. The alliance between the two houses, forged in the crucible of battle against the English oppressors, had stood strong for two decades, a bond that no force could break. Both De Dyter and De Rune had stood shoulder to shoulder, their unwavering loyalty and shared determination making them a formidable force that none dared to challenge. 

In the year 1333, a daughter was named. 

 Alice Marie De Dyter . 

Or as others named her, "Alice The Valiant" 

She was raised in the lap of luxury and abundance, for she was the daughter of Lord William and cherished her family deeply. Yet, her parents instilled in their children a noble virtue – to never become entitled or haughty, but to see all as equals in the eyes of the Lord. They preached the importance of hard work and humility, ensuring their children understood the true essence of being a De Dyter. Alice was the youngest of her kin, her brother Simon having embarked on a journey to become a valiant knight.

Young Alice was often found by her mother's side, their bond as unbreakable as the strongest of her family's walls. Raised in the ways of the Roman Catholic faith, Alice found solace in the teachings of her mother, whose unwavering belief in the warmest of morals guided her own path. Throughout her upbringing, she could not recall a moment devoid of her mother's sage advice and nurturing love. 

When it pertained to her father, she seldom beheld him for he too was a wanderer. Yet in those rare moments of his return, he never failed to escort her on hunting expeditions and impart wisdom on the art of combat. Always referencing her as his little Dove.

Alice, once a beacon of virtue, finds herself thrust into a dark and unforgiving world. As a deadly plague ravages the land and ruthless soldiers lay waste to all in their path, the very foundations of morality crumble around her. In this brutal new reality , survival is the only goal. No longer can she rely on her principles, for now it is a merciless game of kill or be killed.

The choice is hers.

Right now, I'm in a small little block with Ride or Die. So I figured having a second book to go to when I don't have ideas for my other fic would help.
