The following day the Josephine woke up, showered and changed into a yellow top and high waist jeans with a pair of sneakers before brushing her hair and curling it slightly.

She used her powers to bring one of the beginners grimoire she was given to read up on her spells to her hands, she read for a few minutes and answered some texts before going downstairs for breakfast.

"Hi, Mrs Dumont." Josie greeted Diana as she grabbed the cereal from the cupboard and got a bowl.

"Morning Josie." Diana greeted as Melaina came downstairs.

"Morning mom." Lainie greeted which surprised older woman who hadn't heard a word spoken to her since she arrived.

"Morning honey," Diana responded as she ate some of the cereal.

"Mom, where's dad?" Tia asked her mother.

"He had to go for a meeting so I'm taking you to school today." The brunette informed the group.

Melaina walked into the Library and went to a free table since it was her free now. She was pulling out her AirPods when she remembered that Cameron had a free as well, she looked around to see if she could find him and when she realised that he wasn't there she quickly packed up her things and exited the area.

She first checked the art classroom and saw no one then remembered that he sometimes liked to go the bleachers on the football field and quickly made her way there.

When she got there she saw him and made her way up the stairs to the boy who was drawing another one of his iconic flowers. But this one Melaina managed to recognize and knew how hard today was.

"Hey, Cam." She greeted gently making the raven-haired boy lookup.

"Hey... Hi. Wha...what are you doing here?" Cameron stuttered.

"I came looking for you, I know what today is. Did you really think I'd forget?" Lainie asked the boy as she sat down beside

"I don't know, you've been pretty distant lately."

"I know and I'm sorry, my mom recently came back and Josie has technically moved in with us...but that isn't an excuse. I'm sorry for not being a good friend but I am definitely going to make it up to you."

"How?" Cameron asked with a small smile.

"You'll have to wait till later. Besides that." She paused when she turned to look at him. "How are you doing, considering what today is?" Melaina asked the raven-haired boy.

"I guess I just really miss her, but it gets easier every year," Cameron assured the girl before she took his hand in hers and put her other one on top of them.

"If you need to talk..."

"You're here... I know Melly Jelly," Cameron responded with a smile making the girl laugh.

"You have not called me Melly Jelly since we were 12. Why bring it back?" Melaina asked with a gleaming smile.

"It's a beautiful nickname for a beautiful girl." Cameron flirted making the curly-haired girls' cheeks warm up but she quickly hid it when they started laughing again.

Josephine and Courtney were currently in History and Miss Johnson had told everyone to get with their partners for their research project.

Courtney and Josie, who were partners had done everything they needed to just had to fix a few things so Josie decided that this would be the best time to talk to her about it.

"I know about The JSA." Josie blurted making the eyes of the blonde widen as she looked around the room frantically hoping that no one was listening but calmed down once she realized that everyone else was engulfed in their own conversations.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Courtney with a haunted face.

"I know about Pat, I know about what happened on December 24th 2010," Josie whispered to the girl.

"H-how do you know all this."

"I might have accidentally looked into your memories when we were at Richie's a few days ago." She spoke quickly before looking down at her textbook.

"You What!"

"I'm sorry okay... I'm still learning how to use my powers, Molly and her witchy magician friends are training me."

"Molly as in your therapist Molly? The Molly who gives me choc chip cookies whenever I come to fetch you?"

"Yes that Molly apparently she's this 2-century old Sorceress."

"Huh...I did not see that coming." She said with a flabbergasted tone.

"Josie, you do know your dad was a supervillain right?"

"My dad who's in a casket 6ft underground was a supervillain, trust me I know."

"Sorry."

"No, it's fine honestly it makes it 1% harder for me to miss him." She sighed before continuing. " I know my dad hurt a lot of people and maybe he did deserve to die but my brother, the nerdy magician that everyone loved was murdered I know for a fact that he didn't die because of an accident nor my dad. He had just been to the doctor he was perfectly healthy." She stopped again to take a breathe like Molly had told her whenever she felt her emotions go out of control while Courtney held her hand.

"I want to join the JSA to get justice for my dad and brother- for my family." She finished making the curly blonde frown slightly.

"Corey, what's wrong?" Josie asked the blonde with the nickname she had come up with a few weeks ago.

"You can't join." She stuttered

"What why?"

"I can't let anyone I care about get hurt," Courtney spoke meaningfully while looking into her loving brown eyes, both of their hearts fluttering.

"Okay, but if you change your mind you know who to call." She responded with a small smile in understanding before continuing the project

School had ended a couple of hours and the girls were both homes while everyone else was out. They were doing some reading while Chloe×Halle played in the background.

"If you see me start floating don't worry I'm just trying out something," Josie told the curly-haired girl who was reading her mom's notebook again.

Josie closed her eyes and focused, on who? Courtney, her bad feelings were coming back and she just didn't want to tell anyone, especially since this was the first one in weeks.

In Melania's room, where they were Josie appeared to be sitting, legs crossed and floating, surrounded by some burgundy mist.

But for her, she saw the apparent JSA in a hallway but behind her, she saw two people that identified to be Sportsmaster and Tigress, members of the ISA.

It was like they were looking straight through her so they probably couldn't see her. Then she heard Courtney, Stargirl call Hourman's name as he ran towards the duo ready for a fight but they quickly took him down. Then the JSA split up separated and fought the corrupt duo. She walked around for a little longer and saw Wildcat fighting Tigress then she walked through the halls and found herself outside where she found Hourman fighting Sportsmaster, this was where her bad feelings started to get stronger.

That's when she opened her eyes and landed softly on the fluffy white rig in Melania's room as the burgundy mist faded away.

"Jose, everything okay?" Lainie asked her friend.

"We need to go now!" Josie demanded making the curly-haired girl close the old book.

"Go? Where?"

"We need to suit up and go help Courtney," Josie explained, knowing what she meant Melaina went to the crate where her mothers' old suit was.

She had tried it on a few days ago and lucky for her it fit perfectly. From what the notebook told her, the long blue pants, long-sleeved red shirt with the knee-high metal like boots. The notebook had mentioned that the entire suit was Themyscrian armour. There was just one adjustment she had made, she added a mask to hide her face.

After putting that on she quickly tied her hair into a low pony at the back of her head and put on the gauntlets

Josie was wearing a black waistcoat with burgundy 6 button pants, with a matching 6 button tailcoat. She used her magic to make her hair go from brown to burgundy before putting on the mask and tieing up her hair up. She put on knee-high burgundy boots before Melaina grabbed the shield and they left the home.

"It's two against 1 kid." Sportsmaster taunted as the two girls hid in the shadows.

"Make that 3..." Melaina started as she ran over to Courtney's side.

"Against 2." Josie as she joined her two friends with her magic surrounding her fingers.

Melaina went for Tigress while Josie and Courtney took on Tigress. They were winning until Sportsmaster kicked Courtney away. Melaina quickly knocked down Tigress and went to help up Courtney with Josie.

Then Hourman, Dr Midnite and Wildcat ran up and stood beside them in a fighting stance until something huge that looked like a giant robot.

"Don't worry he's with us, "Courtney assured as she gripped on the glowing staff.

Then Sportsmaster threw something into the air and the second it hit the ground it made a bright flash that let the wicked duo escape.

They had arrived at Pats garage and were all admiring his giant robot which was apparently called S.T.R.I.P.E.

"Okay, i have a quick question. Who the hell are you two?" Rick demanded making the two friends realise that they were still wearing their masks.

" Yolanda, Courtney, Beth, Rick nice to see you all again," Melaina spoke with a sly smile after she and Josie took off their masks.

" How did you two find them?" Pat asked the duo.

" My powers, my dad was the Wizard," Josie informed the group making Rick glare at her and make a defensive stance while Pat only now recognized the girl.

"Why didn't you leave with your mother?" Pat asked the girl.

" She didn't want me to go with her but we call every day," Josie responded as Rick glared at the girl.

"Courtney, how are we supposed to trust her if her dad is part of the team that killed my parents?" Rick scowled making Josie glare at him.

"Fyi, Rick her dad and twin brother were killed by those bastards so please shut up about that." Melania barked to the raven whos' eyes softened slightly at the mention of the sweet nerd.

"I know my dad did horrible things but all Lainie and I want to do is get justice for my brother and him, that's all I ask," Josie spoke.

"We could use the extra help." Pat insisted.

"Welcome to the team," Beth exclaimed cheerfully making the duo smile as well as Yolanda and Courtney while Rick glared at them still not trusting them.

The JSA just got bigger and better, but things were just about to get a lot more complicated.
