Panting, running, crying

All sounds so you could hear as Jeon Heejin ran for her life to a nearby safe house that she had heard of.

She didn't expect for her night to turn out like this.

Earlier ; 4:10 p.m

Heejin was walking back home. Another dreadful day had just unfolded and all she wanted to do was go and crawl into her bed covers and sleep. But of course that was never an option in the Jeon household.

Cleaning, scrubbing, laundry, dishes...

The list went on and on. That's most likely the reason she was failing a lot of her classes. She had no time to do any homework and no time to study. Absolutely dreadful.

Today... Today was different though. Her parents weren't home nor were her two sisters. She was confused yet.... Happy. Her parents, the ones that treat her like shit, weren't here. She could cut some of her chores. But again... She could never have it her way.

She had just layed in bed when she heard her parents come in.

'Shit.' She thought to herself. Her parents were home and she hadn't done anything. They were going to be pissed for sure.

She didn't hear any commotion though. Not even a single yell or stomp indicating that she was about to get hit.

She got up and slowly opened her door. She couldn't believe what she saw. Her sisters were lying on the ground. Blood around them as they laid there. Silent. Then she heard it.

CLASH!

A bottle had been broken. She felt like something was wrong and that she needed to get out quickly. She grabbed her school bag and shoved some clothes and necessities in there just in case.

She felt her heart drop when her father opened her door with a broken bottle in his hands. He was there for a reason. A terrible reason.

He came at her and she blocked his attack with one of her arms. The glass piercing through her skin. She grabbed a nearby book and smacked her father on the side of the head, causing him to collapse.

She grabbed the bottle and broke the rest of it on his head. She grabbed her backpack and took off. Not ever looking back.
