Lando woke up to the sound of the shower running. Groggy and rubbing his eyes, he noticed it was almost sunset. As he got up to check the time on his phone, the bathroom door opened and Mila walked out, wearing a black two-piece dress with her wet hair tied up in a towel.

"Hey, you're up. Good," she smiled, heading to the dressing table where her skincare and makeup were already set out. "Everyone got here while you were asleep. Get ready, we're going for dinner."

"How long was I asleep?" Lando mumbled, still groggy, as he walked to the bathroom.

"Like five hours," Mila replied, doing her makeup in the mirror. "I was thinking we could take pictures with the sunset and post those to make it 'official'. What do you think?"

"Hmm?" Lando asked, snapping out of his thoughts. "Yeah, sure, we can do that. I'll just jump in the shower."

Mila nodded and continued with her makeup. As she finished her light, clean-girl makeup, Lando stepped out of the shower, his wet hair dripping water on the floor. As he wiped his hair with the towel, water splattered on Mila's back.

"Lando! You're getting me all wet!" she shrieked.

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Lewis' voice came from the other side, "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt."

Mila's eyes widened in shock at what he might've thought her words meant. She quickly got up to open the door, smiling awkwardly, "Hey Lewis."

"Did I interrupt something?" he asked awkwardly.

"No, not at all!" she replied quickly. "Lando was just dripping water all over the floor, so I..." she trailed off as Lewis chuckled.

"Well, everyone's waiting downstairs, so you guys might wanna hurry up," Lewis said. Mila nodded and closed the door as he walked away.

"That was smooth," Lando teased as Mila rolled her eyes

"Oh, shut up," she mumbled as Lando chuckled.

"You get so flustered around him," he continued. "Is it that big of a crush?"

"I'm not gonna answer that," she replied grumbly. "You'll only tease me more."

"I won't," Lando reassured immediately. "Did you have posters of him on your wall or something?"

"He was my lockscreen for three years," Mila admitted in a low tone. Lando fell on the bed laughing, clutching his stomach and rolling around.

"Stop it!" Mila grumbled, hitting his face with a pillow as he continued to laugh.

"What? I'm not laughing at you," he said between laughs. "I think it's cute."

"Yeah, right," Mila rolled her eyes as she got up from the bed, put on her watch, and lightly kicked Lando to get him up.

"We're gonna lose the sunset if you don't get up right now," she said. He got up, still chuckling, put on his perfume, and then opened the door for Mila, bowing and motioning for her to go out first. Mila laughed, curtsied lightly, and walked ahead of him. Lando closed the door, caught up to her, and intertwined their fingers as they walked downstairs hand-in-hand.

Lewis' private beach was connected to the beach-house, so the group decided to walk there. Lando held Mila's hand as they walked, even though she was deep in conversation with Kika. He didn't feel like letting go.

"Oh, let me get you guys some pictures," Kika exclaimed, pulling out her phone. "Here. Stand here."

As Mila stood, Lando still held her hand and moved to stand beside her.

"No, wait! She needs solos," Kika ordered, pushing Lando away as he frowned. Mila laughed but followed Kika's directions, posing for pictures.

Lando stood behind Kika, smiling as he watched Mila with adoration. The way she smiled every time Kika complimented her made her whole face light up. With the sunset in the background, she looked serene. Sure, the sunset was pretty, but Mila was prettier.

Pierre nudged Lando, pulling him out of his thoughts. "Pick your jaw up from the floor, man," he teased. Lando rolled his eyes.

"Lando! Join her! What're you doing here?" Kika scolded, pushing him to stand next to Mila.

"I was going to, but you said—"

"Stop talking, we're gonna lose the sunset," Kika continued scolding. Mila laughed and pulled Lando towards her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

"Okay now, look at her and smile," Kika instructed. Lando turned to meet Mila's eyes, ones he'd gotten used to looking deep into lately.

"You look beautiful, Lani," he whispered, causing her to blush and bury her face in his neck.

"Okay, now one with a kiss!" Kika yelled excitedly. Lando and Mila's eyes widened in shock. That was something they hadn't discussed. They were a couple to the outside world, and couples kiss. But would they?

"Sure," Lando whispered. As he leaned in, Mila closed her eyes, hesitant and in anticipation. To her surprise, he kissed her forehead instead. She opened her eyes and looked into his, admiring the freckles on his face.

"Aww, cute," Kika smiled, showing the picture to Pierre, who only nodded, uninterested in their photo session.

"Okay, now let me take some of you guys," Mila exclaimed, pulling away from Lando and taking Kika's phone from her hand. She told Kika and Pierre to pose.

Lando still stood in his spot, pondering the last few minutes. Mila had closed her eyes when he leaned in.

Did she want him to kiss her?

Did he want to kiss her?

They were just friends, and even in this act, were they going to kiss each other as if it was nothing? Could they keep up this act and still remain best friends behind closed doors? He wondered.
