My heart dropped to my feet as that message came up on my phone.

Its like the world fell from its orbit, spinning and tumbling down. I knew who it was. I knew he could've been right. But what I didn't know was that they want to do with me.

The baby isn't going to exist, why did they need to talk to me? Even though i wanted to know, i was never going to go back to that man. It was a one time thing. Didn't mean anything. Right?

Third Person

"Lay, why didn't you tell us? God i'm so sorry!" The curly haired girl hugged Lia with as little force as she possibly could, being extra careful after the news the had found out from the interview. JD standing in the back watching the two.

"I'm sorry i didn't tell you, i just didn't know how. Everything was so weird with Rudy and i just didn't want to ruin anything." She rambles as her heart starts to rubble. JD looked at the blonde girl as Mads let go of her, watching her catch her breath and hold back the tears begging to be let out.

"We just want you to know we're here and we're sorry that you felt like you couldn't tell us." Jonathan said sitting next to Laylia on the couch, taking her hand in his as Madison sits on the other side of her.

"I love you guys." She tilted her head to lay it on JDs shoulder as he kissed the top of her head. Madison sliding her arm around Lias waist as they all sit in each other's presence, in utter silence yet it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. It was all Lia needed.

The door swung open to see a blonde figure, her sister. Her face stained with tears and eyes puffy and red. The skin around her nose was red and ashy from the constant nose blow.

"Maddy.." Lia squeaked out as she stood up and the two holding onto her let go. Madelyn took it upon herself to attach herself onto Laylia. Not worried about how tight she was hugging her, not caring that her phone was now dropped on the wooden floor or that she left the apartment door open.

She didn't care about anything other than her sister in that moment. How could she? Her sister had gone through pregnancy and now a miscarriage all without her sister. The warmth of her sisters hug sent the two girls into a trance of just them. This was until Madelyn let go.

"Laylia Cline, how fucking dare you?" Her words harsh but her tone lighter than the air around them.

"I'm sorry I-"

"How dare you go through this alone?" The older blonde wiped the tears that had dropped from Lias eyes without her noticing during their hug off her face. "I mean it's me, your sister. Why- how- I just don't understand why you couldn't tell me out of all people."

"It's not a personal thing Mads, i didn't tell anyone other than Rudy and Jonas and.." Laylia began to explain herself, rushing her words and mumbling over the syllables.

"And?" Madelyn inquired. Madison and Jonathan still on the couch behind them.

"And Drew." She whispered, this answer causing Madison and JD to look at each other then get up.

"Drew?" Madison tilted her head.

"Wait, you told Drew before me?" Madelyn took a step back, letting go of Laylia's face. Her face scrunched in confusion and Lia could find a sense of betrayal hidden between the lines of her face.

"He was there, i didn't have anyone else to go too Mads." Lia reached for the girl but she was too far away. Mads and JD had stepped back as well, but their faces didn't have betrayal written on them. More like pity, which was the whole reason Lia didn't tell them in the first place. She loathed those looks of pity, ever since she was young she would get those looks when anything happened to her. She always got unwanted pity from anyone who even looked at her, she hated it.

"You could've gone to anyone else Lia, like me or our parents." Madelyn voice raised slightly as her brain scrambled.

"It's really not that easy, i couldn't go to you or them because then i'd become the disappointment child once again. I just got out of your fucking shadow Mads. I wasn't going back there, and don't start saying i was never in your shadow because i was, you just never noticed okay." Lia huffed, breathing in and out watching Madelyns face change from anger too pity. Pity.

"I hope you're okay Lia, i really do. I love you but i cant be here right now." And with that the girl left, unable to control the overwhelming honesty being thrown at her she had to leave.

"Lia I-" Maddie put her hand on Laylia's shoulder.

"No no, please leave." Lia shrugged Madison's hand off before dropping to the couch in tears. Not knowing what to do, she finally broke. It was like the flood gates opened, all the bottled up pain from her past was now being let free. Madison not taking Lias request dropped down next to the girl hugging the right side of her, JD then hugging the left side.

"We're here Lia, you're okay." Jonathan let the girl lie down in his lap, let her close her eyes and find the sleep that had been running away from the girl for the past week.
