β’ Stela felt that she was responsible for her two younger siblings after their parents were killed on 30 March 1999, this happening when she was 13-years-old and Pietro and Wanda were 10-years-old.
β’ As the years went on, Stela took it upon herself to finish school while also making sure that Pietro and Wanda did the same.
β’ Stela also began working as a babysitter when she was 14-years-old, and as the years went on she began taking on more work in other occupations in order to make more money to help support herself and her two younger siblings.
β’ She also made sure that she herself, Pietro and Wanda got at least some form of a higher education.Β Since they couldn't afford a full-fledged university education, the three of them attended the two-year tuition-free junior college known as the City College of Novi Grad.Β Stela obtained an Associate's degree in Art & Design while Pietro went on to obtain one in Computer Science and Wanda one in Culinary Arts.
