Era-Dangerous Era

You and Michael were close friends and stuck through together like besties. Except his wife was not one to enjoy your presence around him.Β

Sometimes Lisa would insult you from behind Micahel's back, and she would play like a sweet innocent angel around her husband. You wanted to confront Michael about her, but you didn't want to make it look like you were against her.Β

It was a chilly day when autumn came around, and the leaves were turning into different colors. You were on your way to visit Michael's house, and when you got there, you spotted Michael sitting outside on the porch.Β

"Hi, Michael!" You greeted.Β

Michael didn't even look up; his head was facing down. You went up to him, and he seemed very upset about something.Β

"Michael..." You knelt as you used your fingers to raise his face.Β

Michael was sad and had pain written all over his face. There were dry tear stains on his face, and his eyes were red and puffy.Β

"Y/N...I don't deserve this." He said.Β

"You don't deserve what? What happened, Michael?" You asked as he started to cry again.Β

"L-Lisa...she cheated on me..." He croaked. His eyes were watery, and he looked devastated. "...not just that I found out that she had been dating this guy for three months. It hurts."Β

"Oh, Mikey..." You pulled him into a warm embrace rubbing his head and getting his curls around your fingers.Β

You both stayed in the same position for quite a while until Michael pulled himself together.Β

"Can you stay over? Please?" He asked.Β

"Sure."

That night, you were there with Michael making sure he was comfy and taken care of. He rested his head on your lap while you were in the bedroom he shared with Lisa. However, he still was heartbroken about his wife cheating behind his back.

"What should we do about it?" You asked.

"I thought about filing for a divorce, and I have the document papers for her." He replied.Β

You formed your lips together and slightly hummed as Michael sat up from your lap.Β

"Do you think she'll sign them?" You asked.

"She better," said Michael, clicking his tongue as he sat crisscrossed.Β

You let out a low chuckle before saying, "I didn't think she would do that to you after making it seem like she did love you. So much for being a faithful wife." You audibly sighed.Β

"Did she do anything to hurt you?" He asked.Β

"Well..." You didn't want to hide it anymore after telling Michael how Lisa mistreated you for saying those harsh words. She was only jealous and didn't want you around him.Β

"She said that to you? That's unforgivable to say that to you." Michael shook his head before pulling you in a warm hug.Β

"I didn't want to tell you." You said.Β

"Girl, you can tell me anything. After all, I love you with all my heart. Your, my friend and..." You saw his cheeks turning light pink as he bit the bottom of his lip. "...and I love you more than I could ever imagine without you."Β

"Michael, is there something you wanted to say to me?" You asked.Β

Michael leaned closer to you, saying, "I grew to like you even after I married Lisa. I didn't realize it until later when we hung out together, and you stood up for me. Protecting me from the horrible tabloids that lie about almost everything they post." He places a hand on yours, staring intensely into your eyes with a soft, lovable gaze.Β

"I-I did too." You stuttered.Β

"You even made me feel better after I was shattered to find out the truth. I appreciate it." He said, leaning closely to rest his forehead against yours. "I love you, Y/N."Β

"I love you, too." You confessed.Β

You and Michael had your lips locked together as it was sweet and passionate. That moment got interrupted when Lisa burst into the room, glaring at the sight of you both.Β

"Michael, how could you do this to me? ToΒ US!?" She shouted.Β

Michael glared at Lisa, "First things first, I don't want to hear any excuses. You're going to pull me in. I found out the truth you hid from me for three months! Three months!" He held up three fingers, scowling at her as she looked angrier.Β

"Well, why is that skank here?" She hissed, pointing at you.Β

"Pardon? I ain't no skank, and it's rude to point a people." You huffed.Β

Michael went to the dresser and held out a file, "What's in here?" Lisa asked.Β

"Divorce papers that you have to fill out by Sunday. Get out of my place." He said, opening the door for her to leave as Lisa stomped away like an angry child.Β

"You'll regret this!" She shouted.Β

"I don't think you got the picture," Michael said, shutting the door in her face before returning to bed with me.Β

"Now, where were we?" He asked, smirking at you.
