Here is an alternate recipe I found that is gluten-free and eggless, which I know is going to be useful for those who need it.

Makes ten servings, according to the website. I suppose that depends on how big my servings would be though because I would just make them large 😂

Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter- softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar- packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup gluten-free flour
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Quick optional note: If you are worried about raw flour (since it can sometimes have bacteria and have risk of e. coli according to websites I've found) and want to be on the safe side, its an easy fix. Put the flour on a pan and bake for 5 minutes at 350 degrees! Or microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, which is probably what I would do since I don't have a working oven right now.

Instructions:
1. Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar & vanilla in a mixing bowl & beat until light & fluffy
2. Add in sea salt & flour - mix until well combined
3. Fold in chocolate chips
4. Grab a spoon & dive right in!
5. Store refrigerated in an airtight container - bring to room temperature before enjoying again
