Charles hesitated as he opened Valentina's Instagram account, unsure of what to do next. He found it strange how the other drivers were making a big deal out of his reconnecting with Valentina. To him, it was simply a joy to reunite with a friend after nearly two decades.

He remembered how his mom used to watch Valentina's projects on TV and talk about her fondly. Charles had tried reaching out to her before, but with no success. She wasn't on social media, and he didn't have her contact number.

Yet, by some twist of fate, they crossed paths at his workplace. Charles was surprised but happy to see her when he walked into the paddock after FP1. But he was disappointed when she didn't remember him, even though he thought about her often.

After FP2, Charles found himself in a peculiar mood. Despite sitting with Carlos, Rebecca, and Valentina, he remained mostly silent.

When Valentina left and said goodbye, he only smiled and waved, forgetting to ask for her number.

Now, he sat staring at her profile picture, unsure if he should text her and what he should even say. He was annoyed at himself for making things so complicated. He was just texting a friend. But Gasly's jokes and Norris showing interest in Valentina had gotten to him, and he didn't like it.

As if his wishes had been granted by some magical force, Charles noticed a pop-up notification at the top of his screen: "direct message from valentinaaa_." Acting on instinct, he swiftly clicked on the notification, eager to see what Valentina had written.
