Sunshine peeked through the curtains into Lily Evans' bedroom. It was a pleasant morning and Lily was having a peaceful sleep until there was a bang on the door. She suddenly woke up to see an annoyed Petunia -her sister- on the door.

"What is it, Tuney?", asked a grumpy looking Lily.

Petunia scowled and said, "Don't call me that and mum told me to wake you up. Isn't your freak school starting today?" She said 'freak' as if it was the most disgusting word.

Lily jumped up, "Oh Merlin! I totally forgot about that."

Lily Evans went to Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was a muggle born witch. She did not know about it until the age of 9. Severus Snape, her ex-best friend from Hogwarts was the one to break the news to her. They were best friends since then till her fifth year when he called her a mudblood. She got her letter at the age of 11 and Petunia has despised her since then. Lily had finished her 6th year at Hogwarts two months ago and was going to start her 7th year as Head Girl. It was her dream since her first year at Hogwarts.

Lily ran off to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, took a shower using her vanilla scented shampoo and got ready. She wore a red crop top, a pair of blue faded jeans and white joggers. She had beautiful red, fire- like auburn hair which tumbled down her back. She had the brightest shade of sparkling emerald green eyes. Several freckles caressed her nose and cheeks. The pretty girl of 17 ran downstairs for breakfast.

Her mum- Rose Evans- was making blueberry- chocolate pancakes and her dad- Henry Evans- was reading the newspaper. Lily flopped down in the seat beside Henry while Rose served her a fresh batch of pancakes. Lily's mouth started watering just at the site of them and she hungrily dug in.

20 minutes later she was ready to go to Kings Cross. The Evans family sat in the car with Lily's trunk and her owl- Athena- and went to Kings Cross. They arrived at the station at 10:30.

"I will miss you Lil." Rose said sadly.

"Me too, mum but I will be home for the Christmas holidays so you needn't worry." Said Lily hugging her.

"Don't forget to write to us sweetheart." Henry said wrapping Lily in his arms.

"Of course not, dad. I will write every week." Spoke Lily with love and bid her parents goodbye near platform 8. She smiled at Petunia who ignored her. Lily went over to the barrier between platform 9 and 10 and after double checking if any muggles were watching, she went through the barrier to platform 9 ¾.
