sometimes, by those close to him, veer is called 'vee' for short.
he may sometimes be referred to in text as merely 'veekha' which is another nickname of his.
he likes to be referred to as a god to boost his ego, and sometimes prompts people to call him that in exchange for him to complete a task.

like all vampires, veer has the gift of super strength, as well as the ability to turn others into vampires. he doesn't use the latter all that often, admittedly; veer doesn't rather enjoy having to deal with the new, inexperienced little fledglings that come with it.
he's around the middle of the pack, in terms of evolutionary biology. while the more powerful vampires would have much less a hassle with weaknesses and the lesser vampires would have to deal with the full force of their weaknesses, veer is at a good middle ground. with tons of protection, he has been able to go out during the day time (though his fear of burning either way tends to keep him far away from direct sunlight), and other than that he hasn't ever really been hit by garlic, so who knows. maybe it doesn't hurt as much, but veer would never be one to try it out.
all in all, though he isn't of an incredibly powerful lineage of vampires, his family history goes back centuries, and through the process of time, they managed to selectively breed out the intensity of some of their weaknesses. either way, veer is too much of a coward to try anything out.

despite his predominantly indian lineage, veer is a citizen of the united arab emirates.

you would usually not be able to see it, however he has a bit of a dark, patchy splotch on  left side over his ribcage, about the size of a fist. he assumes it's a birth mark, but doesn't really care.

veer is an interesting fellow, for sure. you can no longer call him a young man - he's middle aged by all human standards - however his immaturity in certain areas surely makes it hard not to.
vee is, admittedly so, quite full of himself. the fact that he stopped aging before his hairline started to recede has definitely gotten to his fully-haired head. he's always styling himself to look stunning, picking out the most fashionable clothes and always grooming his hair to perfection. he's no doubt a man who loves to dress up for any occasion, and is one of those rare people who wakes up and gets dressed before breakfast, even. he's definitely got a huge sense of pride about himself, something that probably came with his lavish, heart breaker mindset he developed in his twenties that never quite left. vee thinks highly of himself, and loves it when people stroke his ego a little bit by calling him a god and such. all ordinary stuff, for sure. maybe.
yes, vee does think much of himself, but he also holds himself to high standards. he's learnt in the last twenty-five years since taking up his job as an advisor to the leader of the rauf family how to manage his time well and complete work and tasks in a very orderly and smooth fashion. he's a hard-worker, and always expects nothing short of perfect from not only his beard, but his work as an advisor.
since his slightly younger days as a bit of a party boy, he's gotten a bit lazier with all the bloodshed and agression that comes with being a vampire. he grew tired of dealing with new vampires, and eventually grew too busy - and lazy - to do some of the killing for the rauf family that he may have had to do previously. now, he tends to just pass those tasks off to the lower level vampires or basically anyone willing to do it. don't mistake though, veer is still a bit if a sadist when it comes to blood - he loves watching it spill out of people - and tends to oversee these tasks being done whenever he has the time. though he's grown a little bit tired of going out and completing the dirty work by himself, he likes to pretend to use it as a teaching opportunity or whatever where he gets some blood in the end despite not doing a ton of the work.
yes, building on that, vee is lazy. he naps nearly as much as a cat, and would never apologize for it. he has some aloofness to him that's come with age; he just doesn't seem to care about the mundane as much as he used to. another thing about him that's come with age? well, he's slightly wise, so there's that. sometimes he has some good life lessons for those younger than him, though honestly he shouldn't be flattering himself over it: he's more of a pain in the ass than a wise man, that's for sure.
veer is generally mostly good-spirited, i guess. not really. he does love to banter and joke around with people that he's close to, but many tend to find him harsh and mouthy a lot of the time, as opposed to friendly. he always seems to have some form of remark or sarcastic bit to add into every conversation, and honestly, if he were in a movie his little tid bits could be considered comedic relief. usually, they just get him into a little bit of trouble. nothing he hasn't been able to worm his way out of, of course! he's gotten into a bit of hot water over his brutal honesty at times, and despite his ever-loving attempts to shut himself up at times, he really just can't help but run his mouth until it runs him. it happens often, but luckily he's in a position to most of the time get away with it.
he tries to fit in with the younger kids and be a cool guy, although being born in (assuming that 'modern' means this year) the sixties makes it a little bit difficult at times. he does sometimes off-handedly ask his boss for help with his instagram.

𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐃
vee didn't have much of a bad childhood, exactly. his parents were always incredibly strict on him - him being the oldest of their children - so he did grow up with a bit of resentment towards them. he had strict curfews all throughout his teens and twenties, up until he moved out of course. even then, he still considered his parents to be far more overbearing than those of his friends. his parents were always the killjoys, calling him in the middle of parties and forcing him to come home.
despite his resentment for them, he did however love and hold a respect for both of them. they were great at sheltering and taking care of him as a child, and now he sort of understands why they were so protective of him. he does, however, still wish he could've gotten away with more as a kid.

𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄
the rauf family
•veer's family has long been in allegiance with the rauf family, and even before veer was an advisor, his father was. it was what got veer the job so easily- his strict, professional, conservative father set a good precedent. probably even too good for his lazy, mouthy, rather annoying little son.
veer harbours a great deal of likeness for the current leader. a young kid with a lot of potential to become great, yes, but veer also sees a lot of himself in them at times. it's a little odd, he does feel like a babysitter at times, but he stays out of most of the political shit anyways - for his own safety - so it isn't that bad.

despite being basically immortal, veer is kind of afraid of the possibility of having to face death someday. as a product of his one major fear, he tends to tiptoe around arguments and stuff like that in order to never offend anyone tooooo much.
