(Y/n) sat under the tree near the cliff.

Watching the snowflakes fall around her,  she lifted her hand. 

A small, but visible snowflake drifted onto her palm, melting from the warmth that came from her skin.

The willow tree towered over her, providing some shelter from the cold.

Hearing distant screams behind her, she turned her head.

Her village was in chaos, villagers ran while people with weapons broke into their homes, stealing everything precious.

Then, all was silent. Not one could be heard weeping. Not even one who cried out for a lost child, friend, or mother.

The silence was bitter, and she hated it.

The one most precious things she lost that day wasn't just her parents, it was her hope, her dreams, and most importantly, her home.

It was a scar, invisible but permanent. 

And so, she carried on.

''It's too late.'' Faith said.

---

The Ninja walked back to the Hunters, with Faith's head facing towards the ground.

They were silent before something shook the ground.

Turning around, they watched as Firstbourne flew out of the nest, growling. 

''Firstbourne again! Run for your lives!'' Shouted a hunter, and they all ran.

The ninja all had shocked looks on their faces. ''No, wait!'' Cole said, pointing up at it.

''Look!'' Kai said, pointing up as well.

And on the back, of Firstbourne, was Master Wu.

''Woo-hoo. Yeah! All right! Way to go! Ha-ha-ha!'' Jay cheered.

The ninja all smiled cheered, with (Y/n)'s smile being the brightest.

Jet-Jack walked up to Faith. ''He's riding without chains? How is that possible?''  She asked.

''The Dragon Master doesn't need them.'' Faith replied without turning to her.

They all watched as Wu and Firstbourne flew over them, the ninja cheered again. They began to run to the direction he flew, seeing the massive dragon land, Wu looked over at them, smiling.

''You did it!'' You actually did it!'' Jay cheered, running forward.

The five ninjas all squashed Wu in a group hug, laughing as they did so.

''I always knew you had it in you!'' Kai said, smiling.

''What about Iron Baron?'' Faith asked, walking towards them.

''Iron Baron's days are over,'' Wu answered. ''He showed his true colours and Firstbourne was not impressed.'' He shook his head.

The mentioned dragon growled.

''He's gone?'' Jet-Jack asked.

The hunters all cheered.

Zane looked at Wu. ''You did well, Master.'' 

''Or should we say...'' Kai started. 

The ninja lined up in front of him. ''Dragon Master'' they said in unison, bowing.

''No, my friends... I bow to you.'' Wu replied, bowing. He looked up. ''It was your lessons that guided me.'' 

The ninja straightened themselves.

''Hey, I don't mean to rain on the parade, but our job isn't done,'' Cole said. (Y/n) nodded.

''He's right. We've got friends waiting for us.'' Jay replied.

''And a score to settle with Garmadon,'' Kai added.

''Do you think Firstbourne can take us all home?'' Zane asked.

''That's up to them,'' Wu replied, turning to Firstbourne.

The Mother of All Dragons lifted her head and roared.

The Ninja covered their ears, before turning back to the opening of the nest, hearing roars in reply.

Four dragons flew out of the volcano, and (Y/n) blinked. 

Flying towards the group, the ninja watched. ''Looks like we found our answer,'' Cole said.

They landed, and the ninja looked at the dragons. 

Wu looked back at Faith. ''Faith, we promised to bring you with us,'' Wu said, walking towards her. ''You can ride with me.'' 

''You kept your word, and that means the world to me.'' She glanced back at the hunters. ''But I am needed here.'' 

''I thought you hated this place,'' Kai replied, walking forward.

''I did. But you taught me that with courage, things can change.'' She answered. ''And I would rather stay and fight for change in my home, than run.'' Wu smiled at her. ''But I cannot do it alone.'' She looked at Jet-Jack, then at the hunters again. 

''Faith, if you ever need help, you know you have friends in Ninjago,'' Kai replied.

''And you have friends here in the First Realm.'' She said.

The ninja hopped on their dragons, with (Y/n) staying where she was.

Cole looked at her, confused. ''Are you coming?'' He asked.

(Y/n) looked at the ground. ''I don't have a dragon...'' She mumbled.

He held out his hand with a smile. ''You can ride with me.'' He offered.

(Y/n) looked at him with a smile on her face, and she took his hand, Cole pulled her up onto the dragon. She wrapped her arms around his waist. ''Is this comfortable?'' She asked.

''I'll always feel comfortable around you,'' Cole replied, smiling.

Firstbourne roared, and the dragons roared in return.

''Ready to go home?'' Cole asked her.

''Home is where the heart is.'' She replied with a smile.

Firstbourne flew into the air, and the dragons followed. The pair held on tight, with (Y/n) resting her head on Cole's shoulder.

Flying above the clouds, they heard Kai.

''Yee-haw! Ha-ha-ha.'' Kai said loudly.

''Man, I missed this!'' Cole said happily, feeling (Y/n)'s head on his shoulder.

''Everyone...'' Wu said.

The ninja looked scared.

''Hold on!'' He told them.

Firstbourne began to spin, with Wu holding on tight. The ninja cheered, their dragons doing the same.

A portal appeared in the sky, and they all flew through, the light at the end of the tunnel bright.

The Ninja appeared, on their dragons. 

Colossus swung its stone fist at Cole's and (Y/n)'s dragon, who simply flew out of the way. 

Sirens wailed as the ninja looked below them. ''Our city!'' Cole said.

''What's left of it,'' Jay replied.

''Let's just hope our friends are okay,'' Kai said. He heard his sister over the radio. 

''Nya?'' Jay asked, excited. He gasped. ''You're all right!'' 

''I don't know about that, but we could use a little help,'' Nya replied.

''I've located their transmission,'' Zane said.

''Lead the way,'' Wu replied.

Zane's ice dragon roared as it froze the Sons of Garmadon, leaving Dareth, Lloyd and Nya unharmed.

''The ninja are back!'' Dareth cheered.

''And with very large dragons,'' Nya said.

The dragons scared away the Sons of Garmadon, making them run for their lives.

They then landed near the others, and the ninja hopped off their dragon's backs and hugged the others, with Cole, Zane and (Y/n) hugging Lloyd while Jay and Nya hugged, before Nya hugged Zane.

''Look at us! The gang is back!'' Cole said cheerfully.

''But where are P.I.X.A.L and Misako?'' Zane asked Nya.

''Locked away in Kryptarium,'' Lloyd answered.

Looking over Jay's shoulder, Kai saw Skylor and ran over to her. Her eyes were purple, and she was looking at the ground. ''What happened?'' He asked.

''She tapped into Garmadon's power,'' Nya answered, looking down. ''It was too much for her to bear.''

''But I think we can save her if we stop my father,'' Lloyd replied.

''Has your power returned?'' Wu asked Lloyd.

''No...'' Lloyd answered. ''But Mistaké taught me power isn't what makes the Green Ninja... it's the person behind the power.''

''She's no longer with us, is she?'' Wu asked.

''You know,'' Dareth spoke up. ''We wouldn't be here without that crazy little woman.'' 

Lloyd looked at (Y/n) and Cole, holding hands. He decided to not question it.

There were a rumble and a roar. The group looked at where it came from.

''In honour of her, I recommend we drop it old-school, and kick butt!'' He said, holding up a sword. He tossed it to Lloyd, who caught it. He looked at the blade and smiled.

''Dareth is right. We do this for Mistaké, and everyone else hurt by my father.'' Lloyd said.

''Ninja, can you stop the Colossus?'' Wu asked the ninja.

''We've learned a thing or two,'' Cole replied, walking forward. ''about taking down giants.'' He pulled out his chain launcher. 

The ninja hopped onto their dragons, with Cole helping (Y/n) up onto his.

Lloyd stood on Firstbourne's head, next to Wu. ''Ninja...''

''Go!'' They all shouted in unison, holding up their chain launchers. 

Firstbourne roared, and they all flew off towards Colossus.

(Y/n) held onto Cole. ''You know, we've come so far.'' She said.

Cole chuckled. ''You know it.'' He replied. 

''I wonder if this will be our last battle together.'' She said, making Cole look at her.

''If it is, there's no one else I'd like to be beside when we go down. Besides, this has happened before, we're fine.'' Cole replied.

She sighed, smiling. ''If you say so.'' 

''Looks like there's a few who weren't able to evacuate,'' Kai said, looking down at the city.

''Giant snakes, overlords, and now this!'' Jay replied. ''Why do people insist on living in this city?'' 

''Because old friends are worth fighting for,'' Cole answered, looking back at (Y/n).

The Ninja split up, helping the civilians get to safety. 

Jay's lightning dragon picked up a mini truck/ute (I'm Aussie). ''I know. The commute is terrible.'' Jay said, and the people inside it screamed.

Zane's Ice Dragon bridged the gap between a broken bridge with ice, letting the people across.

Before Mother Doomsday could be crushed by a falling piece of rubble, a chain wrapped around him and he was saved. Kai waved at him before flying on.

In the streets, Gayle Gossip was being corned by some of the Sons of Garmadon. Dareth appeared around the corner, wearing his Brown Ninja Gi.

''When you mess with Gayle Gossip, you mess with... the Brown Ninja.'' He said. 

''You hear that fellas?'' Said one. ''The Brown Ninja made a mess!'' making them laugh.

''Huh? What?'' Dareth said, stumbling back. ''No, no, that's not what I... No, that is gross. You twisted my words... Laugh all you want.'' He said, pointing at them. ''It's time to wipe out crime.'' 

One of them walked forward, hitting his fists together. Dareth walked forward, accidentally slipping on a rock and knocking him down. He then kicked another, landing on the last.

He looked around, before looking at Gayle. ''Please tell me you got that.'' He said, getting off the guy.

The Cameraman shrugged with one arm, seeing as he was already holding the camera on his shoulder. 

Dareth began to make his way into the battle vehicle as Gayle Gossip called out after him. ''Hey, wait!'' 

He turned around. ''Who are you?!'' She asked.

Dareth chuckled. ''Your biggest fan.'' He answered, before hopping into the vehicle. Gayle Gossip swooned.

The Dragons flew at Colossus, the ninja holding their chain launchers.

Jay grunted as his Lightning Dragon was hit by its stone fist, with the dragon roaring as it steadied itself, and came back to attack.

''Okay, we got the people out of the way.'' Cole said, ''Time to deal with the elephant in the room.'' 

''That is not an elephant, Cole,'' Zane replied.

''Well, if it was, it would be gigantic!'' (Y/n) said.

''We got it, Zane,'' Kai replied, ''Just drain your chain on the big guy. Remember what Faith told us. We do this together.'' He told them.

''The bigger they are, the harder they fall!'' Jay shouted, wrapping his chain around Colussus' legs. The stone giant broke free.

Cole and (Y/n) turned their heads toward the tower, hearing an explosion. ''What was that?'' He asked.

''Look out!'' Kai shouted, and Colossus swung its fist at the two.

Kai fired his chain launcher. Colossus caught it, ''And he's got good reflexes!'' He said as Colossus pulled on his chain, taking him off his dragon.

(Y/n) swung in, grabbing Kai and placing him on Jay's Lightning Dragon.

''Guys, I'm nearly out of chain.'' Cole told the others.

''Me too,'' Jay replied.

''Even if we had more chain, it's not thick enough to stop it,'' Kai said.

''Then perhaps next time we should use thicker chains,'' Zane replied.

''There ain't gonna be a next time!'' Cole said.

''And Zane's the smart one,'' Jay replied.

''No, he's onto something. Look at all that chain. If we can use it, we could lock it down.'' Kai said, and (Y/n) nodded.

''And who of us is stupid enough to jump on that thing?'' Cole asked. (Y/n) looked at Kai.

''Cole, say no more,'' Kai replied, leaping onto the Colossus.

Cole used the last of his chain. ''That's my last one, make it count!'' He said to the hot-head.

The Ninja flew around Colossus, wrapping it in chains.

Kai used his fire to fuse two together, before grabbing ahold of a chain and swinging like Tarzan.

''It's working! Get off there, Kai!'' Jay shouted.

Kai climbed to the top of the stone giant before leaping off it as it fell, being caught by his dragon, and the Colossus slammed into the ground. The Ninja cheered.

It then got up.

''It's breaking free!'' Cole said, and (Y/n) watched the giant stone being stand up.

''It is weakened,'' Zane said.

''It didn't fall hard enough,'' Cole replied. 

''Oh come on!'' Kai groaned in frustration.

''Maybe I can offer some metal!'' Wu said, flying in on the Firstbourne, holding his chain launcher.

''I hope you didn't think we forgot about you,'' Nya said, coming in with the vehicle.

''Hey!'' Kai shouted, hearing his sister.

Nya rammed into the stone giant's foot, while the Elemental Masters came with more chain.

''Tie it down!'' Misako said, holding up the chain.

The Elemental Masters weaved the chain around Colossus' legs.

''Here we go again. The bigger they are...'' Cole said.

''....the harder they fall.'' Zane finished.

Colossus fell to the ground.

They watched as it started to crumble, the people of Ninjago City running to safety.

Everyone cheered at the now fallen Colossus.

Watching the Sons of Garmadon go into a police van, the Ninja heard Lloyd behind them.

''Do you have room for one more?'' Lloyd asked, beside Garmadon.

The Ninja ran to hug him.

''Lloyd!'' Kai shouted.

''Man, I can't believe it! Oh, yeah!'' Jay said.

''Your power is back!'' Nya said.

''And Garmadon's power is gone. The balance is restored.'' (Y/n) said with a smile.

''Thank you, Ninja, for saving Ninjago. Again.'' The Commissioner said.

''They will come!'' Garmadon said.

''Just another day in Ninjago. I wonder what tomorrow holds?'' Kai asked.

''It holds a lot of work, Kai,'' Jay replied, and (Y/n) chuckled.

As the Ninja cleaned the Royal Palace, they talked.

''We saved Ninjago. Can't we get a day off?'' Cole asked.

''We helped break it, we help rebuild it,'' Lloyd answered.

''It's pretty much our responsibility.'' (Y/n) said with a chuckle.

''Ninja! Trouble!'' Wu said, now an old man again. ''Come quick!'' 

''Already?'' Kai asked.

Jay groaned. ''I'm still sore from our last adventure.'' 

Wu ran, and they followed.

Coming to a stop at the top of the stairs, they stopped in surprise, pulling off their masks.

Go!

''I already thanked you, but the people want to thank you also.'' The Commissioner said.

It's time for training and we're getting started-

it's on, you know

and we wanna see you whip and shout it-

we rock,

you roll.

they say, go slow

and everything just stands so still

we say, go go!

we're ready for the fight, we know the drill

Monday morning and we feel defeated,

seems so long ago

Cole sat down, on the floor next to (Y/n).

''I'm so tired...'' (Y/n) yawned, leaning on his chest.

He smiled and ran his fingers through her (h/c) hair.

Soon, all was silent. (Y/n) was fast asleep.

He sighed happily and closed his eyes too, going to sleep.

The two lay there, peacefully.
