"Dad!" Riley called. She bounded down the stairs to his workshop but her father, Anthony 'Tony' Stark was nowhere to be seen.

Confused, the thirteen year-old opened the door to his workshop and called out once more, less certain this time, "Dad?"

Riley came out of the workshop and made her way to the main living room.  She pursed her lips and looked around, "J.A.R.V.I.S., where's my dad?" she asked the A.I. system that runs the house.

"It appears as though Mr. Stark is in the dining room," the A.I. responded.

The girl was confused more than ever.  Happy told her that her father told him not to come, and when she spent so long looking for him, it turns out he's in the dining room.  He did know she had to leave for Camp today. Right?

Contrary to popular belief, Tony Stark is an excellent father. He's never missed an important event that has to do with her, mostly, and has never neglected her with work.  He also encourages Riley to work with him in the lab, where she found her love for tinkering and technology.

Her love for tinkering is why most people at Camp thought she was a child of Hephaestus.  When she revealed that her father was very much human, they thought she was a child of a minor goddess.  When it was revealed that she was actually a child of Aphrodite, well, let's just say 'everyone was shocked' is an understatement.

She sighed, looking at her suitcases, before making her way to my father.  He was sitting on the table, eating Pop-Tarts.

He brightened when he saw his daughter, "Hey kiddo, want one?" he asked.

Riley accepted, before asking him, "You know I have to go to Camp today, right?"

"Of course I know."

"Then why did Happy tell me that you told him not to pick me up today?" she asked.

"Because Riles, I'm going to drop you off." he said getting up and grabbing the car keys.

"Wait, really?" she asked excited.

He nodded, "Let's go."

The plane landed and Riley took a cab with her dad to Camp Half-Blood.  They had to leave slightly earlier, because they lived in Malibu, which was on the other side of the country.

"Hey, aren't you Tony Stark?" the cabbie asked.

Her dad gave her a look which she understood.

"No," she said adding charmspeak, "he only looks like him. Forget it."

"Only looks like... I forgot what I was saying."

Riley didn't like using her charmspeak on mortals, but sometimes it had to be done. She was still learning how to use her charmspeak, properly. Sometimes, when she was too scared, or nervous, it wouldn't work.

On the way to Camp, Riley kept looking out her window, and playing games with her father.  When they finally got to Camp Half-Blood, Riley got out and her father helped her with her bags.

He pulled out his Brass Rat, one of his most prized possessions, and handed it to his daughter. She smiled, and stuck it around her Camp necklace. She pulled out a pinky ring from her pocket, one that was too big for her. It was placed on a chain, so she could wear it around her neck, if she wanted to.  She handed him the chain, with the ring, and he placed it around his neck.

She smiled on seeing that.  They did this every summer.  He gave her the Brass Rat, and she gave him the pinky ring.  It was a tradition.

He put a hand on his daughter's shoulder, "Be safe kid. Have fun."

She smiled brightly at his words.  It was nice to know how much he cared for her. She gave him a big hug before responding.

"I will dad. Love you. Bye!" she said making her way to Camp.

She passed Thalia's Pine and waved goodbye to her father.  Riley turned around and faced Camp.  She smiled seeing Luke Castellan, and Charles Beckendorf run over to help with her bags. She saw her bestfriend, Annabeth Chase, chasing the Stoll brothers. She saw her sibling walking around, chatting aimlessly. She inhaled and put a bright smile on her face.

It was nice to be back.

If only she knew this would be one of the last times she'd see everyone so happy, maybe she would've cherished it a little longer.
