Personality: As you can imagine Xavier is pretty much the opposite of what he portrays to the world. He pretends to be a loving and caring husband, father of two, and all-around sweet guy who cares so much about his people and making sure their voice is heard and representing everyone who chooses to vote for him and show him support. And who goes around kissing babies and saving puppies and giving food to the poor.
When in actuality anyone who knows's him off-camera knows he's a one sly and cocky bastard, who just as manipulative as his wife if not more. Who knows what to say and how to say it. There isn't anything he doesn't think he can get away with or anything he wouldn't do to make sure he gets as much power and money at the end of the deals he makes.
He's also got quite a few nasty habits he's picked up along the way, gambling, cheating, paying his way out of the police and the press. In his mind, he's indestructible and will rule the world one day

Backstory: Xavier grew up in a spotlight that many overlook, his father was a famous politician just like he had grown up to be. And along with his mother spent his childhood grooming him to be the perfect mastermind manipulative leader that he is. Truly it never really felt like he's had a childhood, having to be hyper-aware that his movements are always being watched and noted down and could be used to try and destroy his family.

He had friends growing up but the older they got the more he realized that some were just after either his family wealth or family connections and powers. And while most probably would have cut them off he decided to use their willingness to make him happy and use him and learned how to manipulative them into getting whatever the hell he wanted whenever.

Personality: Emily has always been a very hyperactive and bubbly girl. She grew up with two loving parents so were also writers, her dad was a famous journalist and mother a best selling author so it writing Came to her almost too naturally. However so did getting in trouble and danger for wanting to go out and explore and write about the things that made her curious or suspensions. But instead of scolding her or getting her in trouble her parents did their best to encourage her hoping she'd grow out of those habits while not wanting to crush her inspiration. She always found it easy to make friends but found it much harder to keep those friends seeing as she'd have trouble knowing when she crossed the line and when she was being a 'reporter.'

Likes: coming up with crazy stories for the hell of it, pulling all nighter's, coffee, find evidence out on the field on her own, getting to interview a suspect and making them squirm

Dislikes: People who criticize her writing simply because the don't agree, having questions turned around On her, getting caught and in trouble somewhere she isn't supposed to be, when her work is made fun of or called a tabloid

Hobbies/Talents:

Backstory: Emily lived a pretty good life, her parents weren't the wealthiest but made sure she was happy and comfortable, made sure she went to a good school and wasn't bullied and didn't have to worry about paying for college. However, this gave her a very unrealistic view of what life as a creative person was more often like. And despite her parent's warnings, after graduating she went out to the world on her own trying to make a name for herself that wasn't attached to her parents.

However, it only took one bad piece of her dad's work to catch a certain politician's view and that man-made sure to destroy that peace the family had for years. Turning it from her being able to use her family name to get a job to her family name being the reason she was fired over and over again. She lost her sense of self completely hating that she was being punished for her parents work and that she was out in the world alone so she insists as turned to write eye-catching often fake stories, that no matter how horrible the story actually was because of her excellent writing became more than believable. And she was back to putting her life in danger over and over again for a good story.
