"Physically drag me out, you say? I'd like to see you try."

Beomgyu's cheeks heated up at the challenging look in the CEO's eyes. He had walked into that one, hadn't he?

But he was stubborn too, and he didn't like backing down from a challenge.

Kai couldn't help but find the secretary's determination amusing. The man was trying hard to act tough, but he could see the hint of nervousness in his eyes.

He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. "Oh, you're determined, aren't you? Well, I dare you then. Try and drag me out of this office against my will."

Beomgyu's heart quickened at the challenge. He hadn't expected the CEO to actually encourage it. He was expecting him to back down and laugh at him.

Taking a deep breath, he stood up from his chair, his determination outweighing his fear.

"Alright then. I'll do it if it makes you take a break."

Kai watched with a mixture of surprise and amusement as the secretary stood up, his determination clear on his face.

He couldn't help but admire the man's bravery, but he was also secretly curious to see if Beomgyu would actually go through with it.

He smirked and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Go ahead then. I'm waiting."

Beomgyu walked over to the side of the desk where the CEO was sitting, his heart beating faster with each step he took. This was it. He was actually going to go through with it.

He steeled himself, trying to ignore the fluttery feeling in his chest at being this close to the CEO. He tried to ignore how good Kai smelled, like expensive aftershave and a hint of something that reminded him of rain and pine trees.

Beomgyu reached out and gripped Kai's arm.

Kai felt a slight tug on his arm, and the next thing he knew, Beomgyu's fingers were gripping his arm, attempting to pull him out of his chair.

He let out a small chuckle, he wanted to see how far Beomgyu was willing to go.

Beomgyu was struggling to budge the CEO from his seat. His grip on the man's arm was firm but no matter how hard he pulled, Kai barely moved. Damn it, why was he so strong?

"He's too heavy," he thought, starting to get winded from the effort.

Kai couldn't hold back his laughter any longer. The secretary was trying so hard to move him, it was frankly adorable.

"What's the matter? Can't handle a bit of strength?" he teased, enjoying the sight of Beomgyu struggling.

Beomgyu huffed in frustration. This man was unbelievable. Was he finding this funny?

"Stop teasing me," he said through gritted teeth. He pulled at Kai's arm with more force, but it was like trying to move a mountain.

"He's built like a damn brick wall. What the hell?" He groaned internally.

Kai chuckled at Beomgyu's frustrated remark. The man was stubborn, he had to give him that.

He let the secretary struggle for a moment longer before speaking again. "You're not going to achieve much just tugging at my arm like that."

Beomgyu was getting more and more annoyed at how easily Kai seemed to resist his efforts. It was like trying to move an unmovable object.

He huffed again, refusing to give up. "Then what do you suggest I do?" he asked, his voice slightly strained.

The persistent secretary was amusing, but Kai could sense that he was beginning to wear down. He couldn't help but find it endearing, watching the man struggle to move him. It was fun to him.

"Oh, I don't know," he said, his tone playful. "How about you try another tactic? Maybe begging would work?"

Beomgyu's face flushed at the suggestion. "Beg...you?" he asked, his voice rising in pitch.

The audacity of this man to want him to beg when he was the one being stubborn and refusing to move?

"I'm not begging you," he said indignantly. "You're the one who needs to listen to me. Take a break."

He punctuated each word with a firm yank on Kai's arm.

With a final yank at Kai's arm, Beomgyu suddenly stumbled forward, because Kai intentionally went easy on strength with mumhim, making him lose his footing. He pitched forward, stumbling off balance and straight into Kai's lap.

The moment his body made contact with Kai, he felt an immediate and overwhelming dizzying sense of deja vu. He closed his eyes as a wave of memories hit him like a ton of bricks, and he let out a gasp.

Beomgyu's mind was transported back to a different time and place. Someone was standing in front of him, dressed in a white shirt and surrounded by a sense of regal grandeur. They were in a grand and luxurious room, the walls adorned with intricate tapestries and the air filled with the scent of roses.

The person seemed to be smiling at him, a little too familiar. However, his expression was softer and his eyes seemed full of love and adoration.

"Shall we go for a Morning walk, Your Highness?"

He saw the man speak those words, but to whom? What was this? His head ached, a tingling sensation running through his body. His ears were ringing, until he was pulled back into reality by someone shaking his shoulders slightly.

"Secretary Choi?"

He blinked, his eyes refocusing on the scene in front of him.

The room had reverted back to the office, and he found himself sitting on Kai's lap. He felt the hands on his shoulders, and it was the CEO shaking him, concern clear in his expression.

Beomgyu felt disoriented, the memory still vivid in his mind. He looked at Kai, his breath coming in short gasps.

Kai stared at Beomgyu, seeing the dazed and disoriented look in the man's eyes. He didn't expect this to happen.

He could see that Beomgyu was struggling to process something, and he had a strange look on his face. Kai tightened his grip on the man's shoulders. "Secretary Choi, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." He asked concerned.

Beomgyu continued to stare at Kai, the vivid memory still playing out in the forefront of his mind. He could still see the smile, hear the words, "Your Highness".

His head was swimming with thoughts and he was struggling to figure out what was real and what was a memory. He let out a shaky breath, trying to focus on the present.

"I-" he started, his voice cracking. "I'm okay Sir.."

But was he really? Beomgyu couldn't figure out why such strange things and events were happening to him all of a sudden. Was his luck cursed? Probably.
