Dusk's eyes burned as she entered the long and narrow passage. The lights leading them all through the tunnel reflected off the mirrored tiles, making it brighter than it actually was. She had to squint her way through while trying not to bump into her siblings which was not an easy task. They walked through the tunnel for what seemed like forever, until they finally reached the door on the other side, opening it to reveal almost an exact copy of the White Buffalo Suite from Hotel Obsidian.

"Let's never do that again," Viktor panted as they stepped out one by one. "What, narrowly escape the apocalypse?" Five squinted. They all looked around the room, noticing that while most of the furniture was the same, the only difference besides the dim lighting was the White Buffalo's head was gone, and replaced with its stuffed butt. "See? Same suite, just ass-backward," Lila said as Ben grabbed the tail.

"This is some hardcore Alice in Wonderland shit," Dusk shook her head. "Trust us, it only gets weirder," Diego assured. The door leading into the passage slammed shut and everyone looked over to see Reginald with his back against the wall panting. "At last, the other side," he spoke huskily. "Wait, where's Klaus?" Viktor questioned. The mention of him made Dusk's eyes widen with worry. He said he'd be right behind me! "Children, I'm sorry but your brother... I did all I could, but he didn't make it through the tunnel in time," the monocle excused.

Dusk's breathing grew uneven the longer she stared at him. She remained uncertain about Reginald being behind Luther's death, but when it came to her boyfriend, there was no doubt in her mind he would've done anything to get to her. And whatever happened to him must've involved the old man. Suddenly, she felt two hands touch her shoulders and that's when she broke her gaze, she saw both Victoria and Five subtly comforting her. "I'm so sorry, Dusk. I really tried!" Reginald said sadly.

YOU'RE A LIAR! She wanted to scream, but even if she tried to harm him, her siblings would grab her and try to soothe the savage beast like Five did when she attacked Allison. And even that would most likely result in some getting punched in the nose. "We need to go back!" Sloane said as she tried to open the door back to Obsidian, but Reginald would not budge. "There's nothing to go back to. The kugelblitz has claimed its last victim. There will be time to mourn later, but right now we need to keep moving,"

He walked out of the second White Buffalo Suite and the siblings all stared at one another. "Luther and Klaus? Who else could be next?" Viktor said, his mouth slightly agape. "I don't know..." Dusk blinked a few times, trying to blink away her tears. They followed their father down the hall towards the elevator, cramming together as they went to the main level.

Just like the White Buffalo Suite, everything looked almost exactly the same but with a few minor differences. instead of a fish tank and bar, there was a conveyor belt with different types of sushi. And the pillar lights weren't blue, but instead golden yellow. "It's magnificent," Reginald noted. "More like creepy as fuck," Dusk crossed her arms as a chill blew past her. "Lila and I barely made it out last time, so don't let the architecture fool you," Diego warned, holding onto the harpoon gun with a firm grip.

"Okay pansy, but I'm here this time, and the numbers are in our favor," Ben rubbed it in. They walked over to where the receptionist's desk was, and Diego gestured to the bell and sign that looked like it was written in Korean. "Whatever you do, do NOT touch this bell. Unless you want to lose a finger or a tentacle," Sloane walked over to the bell, looking like she wanted to touch it. But Lila got in her path before she could send them to their doom.

"Get out of my way!" the gravity girl shouted. "To take out this thing, we need to be in the right state of mind," Lila explained. "State of mind? Do you mean, am I angry? Yes, I am! I wanna kill whatever it is that hurt Luther!" She shook with anger. "We lost Klaus as well. I'm angry, we all are. But we have to be smart about this," Viktor spoke calmly. Out of the corner of her eye, Dusk could see Five and Victoria walking towards the revolving doors.

But as Victoria tried to walk through one of them, she ended up walking in through the other door. "Don't even try, guys. They won't let you out," Diego called out. "No shit!" Victoria scoffed. The Bonnie and Clyde couple walked back over to the group, Pennycrumbs trailing right behind. The little pup looked around, confused and unaware of his surroundings. He let out a few whimpers of worry, and Victoria brought him into her arms, telling him everything was okay.

"Did you really have to bring that dog with you, ginger?" Ben glared at the redhead. "Of course! I'm not gonna leave him to die!" She took offense to his little comment. If wasn't for their current situation, she would've made him regret saying that. "So, we're stuck here?" Allison questioned. "This place is a test, a trap, and a means of salvation all at once," the monocle said as he flipped through the pages of his leather booklet.

Five asked what they were supposed to do, but Reginald remained silent as he walked to the center of the lobby, where he stared down at the ground looking for something of importance. "I'm hungry. Does anyone fancy an unagi roll?" Lila said as she and Dusk walked over to the sushi conveyor belt. Lila craving because of her hidden pregnancy, and Dusk craving to get her mind off her boyfriend dying and calm her anger.

"How can you two eat at a time like this?" Ben narrowed his eyes. "How can you be a dick at a time like this?" Lila snapped back. The Squid Boy looked ready to argue, but Diego was quick to intervene. "Back off. Dusk's emotional and Lila's eating for-" "Strength!" his girlfriend cut in. They followed Dusk to the sushi table and as she watched the plates make their rounds, the raven grabbed two plates of yellowtail and avocado rolls and a few strips of salmon and tuna sashimi before sitting near one of the revolving doors and immediately began her stress eating.

Five, Victoria, and Viktor all sat next to her a few moments later, and Five seemed to be whispering something to the two. "What are you guys talking about?" Dusk whispered, swallowing a mouthful of her food. Her twin continued his muttering, and the raven turned to her other brother. "He suspects dad might be the one behind Luther and Klaus," Viktor replied.

"Not think, I know he's behind this. As the old man said, once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and three times ain't gonna happen 'cause I'm not a gibbering idiot," Five hissed. "I can't be the only one thinking this. Dusk, tell me you suspect the same!" The phoenix couldn't deny what he said. She could see the look on his face when Reginald discovered Luther's body, he also thought his tone was dramatic.

Dusk slowly nodded her head in agreement, and Five exhaled somewhat relieved he wasn't the only one convinced of his theory. "Even if that was true, we can't be sure he killed them," Viktor reasoned. "I'm sorry, but I don't need a lie detector to know your dad is full of dark secrets. Everything I've heard about him being a complete dick has proven to be correct, why wouldn't this also?" Victoria spoke up.

"We've seen this before, remember how we all came together in the first place?" Dusk looked to her brothers. "Dad's funeral," Viktor answered. "Exactly, he pulled this on you rubes before, and he's doing it again now," Five smirked. Number Seven continued to deny the truth, but the time traveler, the redhead, and Dusk all insisted on their shared thought. "He lost the vote to go through the tunnel, yet here we are," Victoria gestured to the lobby.

"Are you really sure he could kill Luther?" Viktor inquired. "I know for a fact he could kill Luther, Klaus, and the rest of us without breaking a moral sweat!" Five spoke in a low and dangerous tone. "And what's worse, I think Allison is involved." Hearing the last sentence, made Dusk's blood boil. If she and Reginald were working together and taking the lives of her boyfriend and Luther was part of whatever deal they had, Dusk would make sure they both suffered immensely.

She glanced over to where Allison sat on the staircase, talking to Sloane. Everything she saw her sister go through replayed in her mind like a broken record. And not only did Dusk have to relive the trauma Allison put her through, but she also realized that her actions resemble the origin story of a villain. "No, she was with Sloane in the tunnel," Viktor recalled. "He's not talking about Klaus. It's regarding Luther," Dusk said through her gritted teeth. "She's been unraveling since we got here,"

"Can you blame her? She lost her daughter!" Viktor's eyes widened. "And she killed Harlan," Five added. The seventh Umbrella took a moment to take it all in, registering the facts in his mind. "Given the number of times she's snapped or just avoided the truth, she's not gonna come clean if we confront her," Victoria quietly exhaled, squinting at The Rumor.

"Gather up, children! Now that we've had a chance to catch our breath, the real work can begin,"
