Meanwhile, the Hargreeves siblings met at The Super Star Bowling Alley, trying to come up with a plan to stop Vanya and save Dusk before the world ended. "Look, I hate to be the one to say this, but everyone needs to prepare," Luther said, breaking the ominous silence. "For what?" Diego asked. "To do whatever it takes to stop Vanya," Allison smacked Luther with her notepad, telling him they couldn't do harm to their sister. "We may not have a choice, Allison,"ย

"Bullshit.ย There are always options," Diego muttered under his breath. "Look, whatever we decide, we have to find Vanya and Dusk. And fast, okay? They could be anywhere," As the siblings bickered over what to do, Klaus flipped through the newspaper, stumbling across a picture of Vanya, holding her violin, announcing a concert at The Icarus Theatre. "Or here," Klaus spoke up. The siblings instantly gathered around him, reading the ad.

"I hate to intrude, but my manager says if you're not going to bowl, you gotta leave," One of the alley workers said to the family. Without warning, Luther grabbed a nearby bowling ball and threw it towards one of the lanes, unknowingly knocking all the pins down. Allison scribbled on the notepad, She's our sister. "We're the only ones capable of stopping this. We have a responsibility to Dad. He sacrificed everything to bring us back together,"

Klaus looked over at Ben, who wondered when he was going to tell his siblings about what happened back at the Academy when Ben saved Diego's life. "You know guys, maybe I could help," Klaus inserted himself into the conversation. Five rolled his eyes as the junkie interrupted him, and Luther warned him that now was not the time. "No, let him finish. He saved my life today," Diego cut in. The siblings looked at Diego, confused as to how the junkie saved their vigilante of a brother.

"I did take credit for it. But the real hero was Ben," Klaus admitted, making everyone even more confused. "Listen. Today, he punched me in the face. And earlier at the house, he was the one who saved Diego's life, not me," "You are unbelievable, Klaus," Luther bit back a sigh. Number Four tried to prove to his siblings that what he was saying was true by throwing a bowling ball towards his brother's ghost. But unfortunately for him, Ben was unable to catch it, thus proving Luther's point.

"Is there any way to silence that voice in your head that screams out to be the center of attention?" Luther growled. "You know, I liked you a lot better before you got laid!" Klaus blurted out. The ape-man's eyes grew wide, and he looked over at Allison, who was equally stunned. In a desperate attempt to recover things, Klaus tried to explain that it was an accident. But Alli didn't buy it and stormed off as Luther called out to her.

What have I done? Klaus internally groaned as he sat next to Diego and Five. A woman and her son approached them, asking if Five wanted to play with kids his age as long it was okay with his two dads. To which Five responded, "I would rather chew off my own foot," before he stood up and walked away. "If I was going to date a man, you'd be the last man I would date," Diego whispered to Klaus. "You'd be lucky to get me," He chuckled as he slumped back in his seat, wondering where Dusk was and if she was okay.

~~~~~~~~
After killing her ex, Dusk changed into a short bright orange dress, almost the exact color as the piercing flames. The top was decorated with orange and yellow sequins and a ruffled skirt. When she was finally ready, she placed Sebastian's charred skeleton into an empty chest and walked out, turning the lights off behind her. As promised, she met Vanya at her apartment just as she walked out the door. "Close call, don't you think?" she sighed.
"Come on. Tonight, we're going to watch the world burn," The Phoenix smirked. The two sisters walked out of the apartment building and towards the bus stop. But as they crossed the road, a car stopped, inches away from their knees. The guy inside told the two "bitches," to get out of the way. As an act of retaliation, Vanya focused her energy on that car, instantly throwing it back and making it land upside down in a shattered heap.
"Impressive, sister," Vanya said nothing at Dusk's compliment, and they continued walking as if nothing had happened. They eventually reached the bus stop and got on, telling the driver they were heading to Icarus Theatre. As the bus started moving, Dusk came across a few teen boys who were staring at the two of them. "Cool makeup," One of them said. Dusk rolled her eyes before looking out the window, clasping her sister's cold hand. Unbeknownst to them, they were being followed by Hazel and Cha-Cha.
ย Back at the bowling alley, Luther rejoined his siblings after trying to talk to Allison. "All right, where's Five?" he asked. "He left. Didn't tell us where he's going," Diego answered. "Well, we're not waiting around for him. The concert starts in 30 minutes, so we'd better head to the theatre right now,"
"Is that all you got as a plan? Look, you want to be Number One, fine, but you're going to have to get us on the same page. Because right now, we're all over the place," Diego said, frustration at the edge of his voice. Before they could talk and come up with a stable plan, strange masked men with guns had entered the bowling alley and began shooting at everyone and everything in sight.
"Who the hell are these guys?" Diego shouted over all the noise. "Maybe they're here for Kenny's birthday!" Klaus suggested. "No, I'm pretty sure they're here for us," Luther clarified. Diego quickly jumped out of his hiding spot and threw a knife at one of the gunmen, knocking him to the ground. Under the blue lights, the Hargreeves tried to clear themselves a way to escape, but the only to get out that wasn't suicide was the bowling lanes. They ran across them as the gunman continued to fire, and they slid underneath, meeting up with one another and running out the back exit.
The Hargreeves continued running until they reached the theatre. As they ran up the staircase, Allison tapped Luther's shoulder, quickly writing that she wanted to go alone. "Allison, I can't let you do that, all right? She's beyond reasoning," he said with reluctance. "You hear the music? It's started," Diego pointed out to them. She pleaded, hoping that he would let her go. And eventually, Luther caved in after he realized that she was their best chance to incapacitate Vanya.
Klaus, who was acting as the lookout, stood outside, hoping that this plan would work and Vanya and Dusk would be just fine. "You're worried about Dusk, aren't you?" Ben questioned. "Yes Benny, I am worried about her," Klaus admitted before catching the whiff of meat from a nearby gyro truck.
*********
Dusk watched from the front seats as her sister performed. Vanya smiled at her before going back to her piece. But that didn't last long, as Luther and Diego ran onto the stage, trying to stop her. But Vanya wasn't going down without a fight. She whipped her bow around, knocking them both back and scared all the audience members. Dusk stood from her seat, looking around to see her siblings in all this chaos.
"YOU! After what you did to her, you think you can show up here, acting as if nothing happened?" Dusk snarled, her flames igniting brighter than a thousand suns. "Dusk, she's going to destroy the world! And we need you to help us!" Luther shouted. "Fat chance, Ape-man! I am not helping you after what you did!" The siblings looked at her in shock, wondering where she got this sudden change in attitude.
"Dusk! You don't mean that!" Diego tried to reason. "Oh, but I mean every word. We're ending the world, and you can't stop us!" Dusk's body began to shudder as the anger and rage coursed through her body. And it continued until it was revealed to the Hargreeves that not only did their sister have the ability of fire, she also had wings. Her hair slowly caught fire, and she began to rise from the ground, cackling manically.
"I told you, Number One. I am far more powerful than you. Than ANY of you!" The gunman from before began to enter the theatre, their bullets flying through the air. But Dusk threw balls of fire at them, setting them ablaze as they continued to fire their weapons and attempt to save themselves until they fell onto the ground dead. "It seems like she's doing us a favor!" Luther said to Diego. "Watch out!" He quickly pushed Luther away from one of the incoming fireballs as more masked men began shooting.
Vanya continued to play her violin solo as Dusk continued throwing fireballs. Five soon appeared, and so did Klaus. The two were equally shocked as the rest of their siblings when they discovered Dusk's final form. As the gunmen closed in on them, Klaus released Ben's ghost as he unleashed the demon inside him. As Klaus stood in his daze, Dusk prepared to throw a fireball at him, but he quickly took notice and ducked before he could catch fire.
"What happened to Dusk?" He shouted. "She's a phoenix! That's what she is!" Five responded. Dusk let out another cackle as she flew above her siblings. "The world is ending tonight, like it or not! And there's nothing you can do to stop it!" "Songbird! You can't do this!" Klaus pleaded. "I told you not to call me that!" She growled, flying slightly lower and getting in his face.
Seeing his best friend as someone she wasn't shook him to the core. He knew this wasn't the girl she really was. "Please," He looked straight into her eyes. The Phoenix stared at him, her hands preparing to throw another fireball, but before she could, she groaned, faceplanting on the ground before losing consciousness. To his surprise, Klaus looked up to see Diego take two of his knives from Dusk's back, right where her fiery wings rested. "What did you do?"
"Your welcome, Klaus. Now how do you want to finish this thing?" Diego asked. "We surround her.ย We come at her from all angles," Luther answered. "So, it's a suicide mission?" Klaus questioned. "Yeah, but one of us could get through. It's the only chance we've got," Five nodded. Luther instructed the siblings which direction to go, and when the time was right, they struck.
Vanya swung her bow, catching the siblings in life-sucking tentacles. The only sibling who wasn't caught in them was Allison. She pointed a gun at the back of her sister's head. Her finger was on the trigger, but she couldn't work up the courage to shoot. Instead, she aimed the gun at the side of Vanya's head and fired, freeing them from the tentacles and sending the shockwave of powers to the moon.
Vanya fell back on the stage, losing consciousness as Allison pulled her into her lap. The siblings gathered around them, with Klaus holding the still unconscious Dusk in his arms. Her fiery wings had disintegrated into ashes, and the flames in her hair diminished. "Are they alive?" Luther asked. Allison and Klaus checked their pulses, and to their relief, they were. "We did it... We saved the world," Luther chuckled, side hugging Allison.
Klaus stared down at the raven beauty. Despite the circumstances, he was happy to see her back to the girl she was. He slipped his inked hand into hers, kissing her knuckles, hoping to be there when she woke up. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a bright orange light. He looked towards the sky, seeing chunks of the moon fly towards the Earth. "Uh, guys? You see that big Moon rock coming towards us?" He spoke up, pointing towards the theatre skylight. Everyone looked up in horror, sure enough seeing them come closer to Earth.
"This is not good," Luther gaped. "So this is it, huh? So much for saving the world," Klaus sighed, reaching into his shirt and holding the dog tags of his lover, Dave. "The Umbrella Academy. A total failure. At least we're together at the end. As a family," Diego said as he continued to look at the incoming obstacle. "This doesn't have to be the end," Five said as a realization crossed his body. Everyone turned around, wondering what Five was implying.
"We use my ability to time travel. But this time, I'll take you with me," he explained. "You can do that?" Diego questioned. "I don't know, I've never tried it before," All the siblings agreed to try, and they gathered around, scooping up Dusk and Vanya. "Wait, should we be taking them? I mean, if Vanya's the cause of the apocalypse. And Dusk... well her temper is out of control. Isn't that like taking a bomb with us?" Luther asked. Five explained that the apocalypse would always happen with Vanya being the cause unless they took her with them and fixed her.
The siblings tightly grabbed hands as Five opened a vortex above them. Klaus held onto Dusk with one arm as he grabbed Luther's hand, watching as the vortex grew bigger and bigger. "Hold on! It's going to get messy!"
And after a moment, the siblings were sucked in, taking them into the unknown.
