── AND I SWEAR THERE'S A GHOST ON THIS ISLAND

. . .

SUMMARY

Ophelia knew what she was going to do. She had a plan, and there was nothing that she could foresee that being ruined. That was, until Dumbledore turned up on her doorstep, informing her that she wasn't going to be in the Crouch Manor for the summer, and instead was going to be spending over a month in a random house in the middle of London.

When she arrived, under false pretences about who she was going to be staying with, it became clear that her summer of peace and quiet away from everything was going to be nothing like that. The Weasleys, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Professor Moody - the list went on.

It was her worst nightmare. She could have had peace and quiet, and instead she was dealing with the tension of being not only a Slytherin in a house full of Gryffindors, but a girl who was the daughter of the Death Eater and the niece of another. It was a house full of secrets and odd looks and the very cherry on top of a horrendous cake, the Weasley twins were there.

Somehow, they were the worst thing in her nightmare. At Hogwarts, she could deal with it, but now they were living in the same house, eating at the same table, involved in the same conversations. But when she wasn't surrounded by her peers, the antagonising comments seemed to be different.

For one of them, at least.

Ophelia noticed, and she noticed everything, that some comments from Fred seemed a little less antagonistic, and a little more complimentary. She didn't like that. In fact, she hated it. And he kept just popping up in places, without his twin. She didn't know why, but she did know that she couldn't wait to get out of that godforsaken house.

She had far too much going on to think about something as strange as that.

" might be a sinner and i might be a saint
i'd like to be proud, but somehow i'm ashamed
sweet little baby in a world full of pain
i gotta be honest, i don't know if i could take it
everybody's talking, but what's anybody saying? "
