SUMMARY

Ophelia Crouch had been left behind by July 1995. Her grandfather had died, right on school grounds, her uncle executed through the means of a Dementor's Kiss and then what remained of him killed by a Ministerial firing squad, and with all that family nonsense behind him, her father disappeared. She had no doubt it was to fill the hole that her Uncle Barty had left amongst the upper ranks of the Dark Lord's followers.

Her mother died years before, and so she had been left alone. It didn't bother her all too much, that she was alone; she was used to it; and now that she was seventeen she had all the freedom to do as she pleased.

However, it seemed, Dumbledore disagreed. And hardly a month into her final summer holiday before she was thrust into the realities of the Wizarding World, he decided that Ophelia being all on her lonesome was not something that he could allow to happen. Appearing on her doorstep, he dragged her from her peace and into the middle of London, where, all of a sudden, Ophelia found herself living amongst a secret Order and that somehow, she was in danger.

Oh, and that she now had to live with the Weasley twins, who made it no secret that they wanted to make her life a living hell.

All rights to the Harry Potter universe and (most) things inside of it go to J.K. Rowling. However, I do own this plot and my own characters and anything inside of the plot which is non-canon.

This is yet again another Fred fic, and those who have read Tick Tock (a Harry fic on my account) will definitely recognise this idea of a plot). It is similar in it's origins, in that Ophelia and Aviana alike have been taken into Grimmauld Place during the time of the Order of the Phoenix, however it will definitely be different!

If you are a loyal reader of Tick Tock - and for that I'm so so grateful - then you'll know I've been wanting to do a Fred fic with a Slytherin OC for some time and I finally decided that no matter how similar this idea of a plot is to Tick Tock it allows me to do that, and don't worry - there will definitely be the same style dynamic sometimes seen between Fred and Aviana in that fic. Plus, shoving Ophelia in Grimmauld Place allows for some forced proximity tension, which I will eat up every time.

In some ways, I suppose you could read this as Ophelia being an older, a little more traumatised, version of Aviana, should the plot of Tick Tock not happened. I do love a particularly odd, complex Slytherin oc (Aviana, Pandora (Captain Hook), Celia (Peter Pan), now Ophelia), so this is something I will love to write.
