Violet spend so much of her life, locked away inside the same place. She never saw the outside of it, but when she was finally set free.

Everything crashed down, she was forced to the upside down. A place that was like home, but at the same time it wasn't.

It was so dark and cold, creatures wondered all around. She knew they would protect her, but she still felt so scared of them.

When she was sent to the real world, she was so overwhelmed with everything. She had never really set foot into Hawkins like this before.

She thought she'd be excited to be with real people for once, but that first year she spent there, she hated it so much.

She was just glad to be back to her real home, the upside down most people hated, but she loved it.

She hummed to herself as she watched Peter search for a new victim. His eyes closed as he focused on the sounds of many lost souls.

She never interrupted him, she didn't feel the need too when what he was doing, help her as well. She walked out of the room letting herself wonder about.

She didn't really know what to do besides look at things on walls. The occasional person would enter the upside down and she'd watch them.

But it had been so long since that happened, for now all the entertainment she had was herself. She pushed cobwebs off a photo looking at it closely.

Peter never told her his past, just that his real name was Henry, one he disliked deeply. She turned around at the sound of footsteps.

Peter walked down the steps smiling at her as she moved away from the photo she looked at.

"Did you find someone?" he nodded "you might know the girl I've picked, Max Mayfield".

Violet never had any connections with Max. They had a few moments of talking and helping one another, but besides that Max meant nothing to Violet.

She'd kill the girl so fast if it meant she would become stronger. "She'll never except me to be the one to attack. That's a good choice".

She couldn't help but smirk at the thought of killing a small child, one who trusted her deeply. "The other, I shall handle while you seek out the girl".

"Of course, just let me rest and gain my strength. I'll need to be ready for when she's vulnerable". She neared the small living room, the area she loved sitting in the most.

"If I focus enough I'll be able to find her won't I? Like you taught me before everything".

He sat down beside her his white clothes coated in blood, the same attire they were cursed in the second they were sent here.

Her outfit however was covered by the clothes she stole from a shop in Hawkins. "Close your eyes and focus on the girl, let yourself just think about her".

Violet closed her eyes letting out a slow breath she focused on the simple thought of Max. She saw the town of Hawkins enter her mind.

Person after person talking loudly until she landed in Max, the girl sitting down at a small table. Writing neatly onto a piece of paper.

"Dear Billy" those were the only words she could even read fully before the girl sighed and crumbled the paper, starting over.

The pen was tight in her grasp as she sighed deeply, letting herself grow tense at the sudden coldness that rested upon her neck.

It was like the air around her had faded away as she felt a tug on the back of her skull. And she could hear the slight whisper of a voice.

It called out for her, it was soothing until it turned dark and twisted. It was like a cold cup of water splashed all of her flesh.

All she could see was darkness as the voice kept shouting for her. She blinked trying to calm herself down, but she failed.

The voice was right in front of her making her jump and nearly slam the pen into her flesh. She could a laugh, one that oddly sounded familiar.

She screamed as she felt a hand touch her shoulder, the sharpness of claws digging into her jacket. "Max!" she turned around.

No one stood behind her making her let out a breath of relief. She turned around screaming at the sight of a monster right in front of her.

It's face unrecognizable as it laughed at her, "we're going to have so much fun Max". Tears slipped down her cheeks as it's fingers touched her cheek.

She felt the coldness of them turn warm as a human hand appeared in its place. Blood ran down Max's nose as she watched this monsters flesh turn normal.

"Violet?" she felt so confused as Violet gripped her cheek roughly. She moved forward slamming Max into the wall roughly making the girl cry out.

"I am going to make you suffer, and when I'm done with you, you'll join us" Max screamed as Violet used her powers to lift the girl into the air.

"You're nothing, just a vessel with a soul inside it that means nothing, you'll die slowly and painfully! And I will have your power!".

Max cried out as Violet slammed her into the wall her hand reaching towards her. "I will destroy everyone in this town, and when Eleven comes back I'll rip her apart, piece by piece like she did to me".

Max's eyes looked at Violets wrist the bold numbers making her gasp. The veins in Violets eyes turned red, her flesh turning pale as she walked toward Max.

She smirked as she used her powers to force Max towards her. She let out a satisfied hum as her fingers reached towards Max's flesh.

"Don't worry little one, I won't kill you yet.. it's not your time yet" her cold fingers gripped Max's cheeks. "Just know, I'll be waiting for you".

Violet let her go and laughed lightly as she disappeared.

"Max! Wake up! Max!".

Max's eyes opened and she gasped as her body began to fall towards the ground. Steve moved toward her catching her before she slammed onto the floor.

"You scared the shit out of me!" she let out a heavy breath "you started floating, we didn't know what to do". Max stood up fully holding herself tightly.

"It's Violet" the trio before her frowned deeply "what do you mean it's Violet?".

"She's Vecna" Steve frowned "that's impossible, she's been helping us out since this entire thing started. I mean she nearly died trying to save me from the Russian".

"She had powers like Eleven, I saw something on her wrist a tattoo just like El". She grabbed a piece of paper "this is what it was".

002

"Are you sure this thing wasn't making you see her, it could've been like a vision of her or something".

"Steve I know what I saw and it was Violet, she looked like a monster before she turned into her normal self, she kept going on about power".

Max paused for a moment looking at Steve "she said I was going to join them, that means..".

"Holy shit there's two Vecnas".
