"You and your mentor are close, aren't you?" You asked slowly. Izuku stepped closer, tilting his head. He looked at you skeptically, a curious glint in his juniper eyes. Your heart was pounding in your chest, something you thought was impossible outside of battle. It was undoubtedly a mistake, but you already brought it up so it was too late.

"Yeah, we are," He answered cautiously. "How'd you know that?" When you messaged him, he thought you had further information about what The Leauge was up to. Yet, as soon as he arrived, you confessed there weren't any updates.

"How close?" You inquired, ignoring his question. Izuku allowed it.

"He was my idol when I was little," The boy told you. "Spending so much time together has humanized him, though." You suspected the boy viewed his mentor more like a father than a traditional teacher.

"Well, that's going to make this part difficult," You sighed, fidgeting with the hilt of your weapon. Izuku raised an eyebrow. You gripped the handle of your weapon, ready just in case he reacted poorly.

"I... " You hesitated, never finding it troublesome to speak before. "Your mentor's arch-nemesis is my father." If you could have the moment back, you would have spoken a little slower. The young hero standing across from you stood still, too still. You had thought over every possible outcome of telling him the truth, but the silent treatment had not crossed your mind. His silence felt more analytical than vengeful.

"I understand if--if you no longer feel you can trust me," You continued, hoping to break the tension somehow. His expression was unwavering. You turned to leave, unsure what else could be said. Before you could exit, however, Izuku reached out and grabbed your wrist. Out of instinct, you drew your blade, swiftly bringing it to his neck. Izuku flinched but didn't let go of you. You had thought he was about to attack.

"It doesn't matter who your father is," He spoke calmly, but looked nervous. "I trust you. And I-I... I have feelings for you and I'm not going to ignore them because of your heritage!" You slowly lowered your weapon. You felt a strange pang in your chest. What was that? It was like you had swallowed burning feathers that now fluttered around your insides. A smile breaks across your face, one you couldn't control.

"I have feelings for you too," You mumbled. You had never thought you would say those words. You saw him smile too. His smile was one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen.

"I suppose this may alter the nature of our relationship," You stated, trying to be humorous. Izuku chuckled. You enjoyed his laugh.

"I think I'm okay with that," Izuku admitted. "I guess we're kinda like Romeo and Juliet now, huh?" You tilted your head,

"They both die at the end of that play."
