Kierston seemingly enjoyed people watching more then talking to them. It helped him understand them better. He was also very quiet and was often left out of things, not that it bothered him much. He was considered pretty serious, realistic, and logical, but he thought he was charming. He was more bright around his sister and mother but was pretty closed off to others. He's always had a problem with the Capitol but never had much of a care for his life, so even if the odds weren't in his favor it'd be alright. Although he is quiet and considered serious, he is a very kind person deep down, not that he'd admit to it. He's a bit clumsy at the worst of times and most people said he didnt have a sense of humor but his sister mustve thought otherwise because she laughs at what he says almost all the time. He doesnt care a lot for himself and didn't necessarily think he could win the games. Even though he's considerably guarded emotionally, henis verybeaidly hurt emotionally when he does open up to someone.

     --> Kierston grew up as one of the poorer kids in his district(not that he minded), where his mother raised him and his twin sister on her own. According to what he was told, his father had no clue who he or his sister was, and that was all he needed or wanted to know. If his father didnt want to know him then he didnt want to know his father. With the low income his mother brought in, even if she was one of the best seamstresses he knew, he had to help, so he got a job helping the town baker, which wasn't as easy as he believed it would be. And really, it shouldn't have been hard, but the baker seemed to not like Kierston for some reason, and made it his life's mission to do whatever he could to make Kierston's work days as miserable as possible, at least that's what Kierston thought, so he had many burn scars that he preferred not to talk about (his mother also currently had no idea). He and his sister were very close, and had made a vow when they were 12 that if one of them were reaped the other would volunteer. They even put a cut in their arms to symbolize it. Kierston's scar was much more visible than his sister's cause he had accidentally cut too deep, which had lead to him getting stitches and a good lecture from his mother.
