Gender discrimination in one word Sexism

In India, discriminatory attitudes towards either sex have existed for generations and affect the lives of both sexes. Although the constitution of India grants men and women equal rights, gender disparities remain. Research shows gender discrimination mostly in favour of men in many realms including the workplace. Gender inequality in India refers to the health, education, economic and political inequalities between men and women. 

Worldwide, nearly 1 in 4 girls between the ages of 15 and 19 are neither employed nor in education or training – compared to 1 in 10 boys.

Sexism can be a that one sex is superior to or more valuable than another sex. Sexism in a society is most commonly applied against women and girls. 


CAUSES OF GENDER DISCRIMINATION

・Uneven access to education

・Poor medical care

・Lack of religious freedom

・Racism
