...ARE THEY REALLY WHO THEY CLAIM TO BE?

𝑰𝑵 𝑾𝑯𝑰𝑪𝑯 a group of heroes, based off of the eight planets, must prove themselves and save their city from total ruin—as they struggle from their own personal problems as well.

𝑪𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑵 𝑩𝑨𝒀—a bustling California city by the oceanside known for its developments in hero technology. 50~ yrs ago, Min Hai, a child from this city became the first known instance of seemingly otherworldly abilities found in humans. These people are now known simply as sages. The world hasn't taken kindly to those with these abilities, believing them to cause a threat. Unfortunately, this was partially true. With the development of these powers, the crime rate began to rise—and so did the number of deaths. Not much was known about these powers, but something had to be done.

When the first hero group was formed in Caten Bay, people were not accepting. Soon enough, however, these heroes with sage abilities proved themselves to the public and quickly became rising stars. Since then, many more hero groups have formed. They're celebrities—practically every citizen knows each hero's name.

Despite these new heroes, people with these abilities were still seen as dangers to society. The heroes tried to change the public's perception of the sages at first, and people's opinions did change a bit—but beliefs are hard to waiver.  
Most people still fear the sages, and have an unspoken bias against them.

As years went on, companies began to realize that they could profit off of these new heroes. The industry shifted from caring about the city's safety to caring only about publicity and money. The heroes in Caten Bay have become more of an act, but the public eats it up. The heroes wear sponsors, do interviews almost every day, and have to adhere to strict rules depending on who they work under. There's  even a ranking system based on points. The more popular you are, the more money you make! it doesn't matter how much good you actually do.

     Most heroes do the job out of the goodness of their hearts, however. Why else would you risk your life every day, right? But there's no harm in getting a little competitive with it.

RULES!

RESERVATIONS. reserve your character before you start working on them. If multiple people want the same character, you can both apply but I'll only be able to pick one. It's application based just incase there's too many people and not enough slots! So I'd rather have all the slots filled before two people apply for the same character (hence the reservations) but if you really want to play that character go for it! There will also be an optional rp sample to fill out in the form so more detailed rpers will be picked over one-liners! But character comes first

FACE CLAIMS. I want a variety of ages, races, genders, etc. For face claims I will accept either a drawing (that YOU DREW) or a real life face claim (no FCs from anime, cartoons, etc.).

SECRET. once you reserve your character I will DM you a secret that your character has that none of the other heroes know of. (So DONT put this in your form unless you want other people to know! All secrets will be revealed as the story progresses).

LITERACY. One or more paragraphs! (I usually write 2-5) No one liners unless it's quick dialogue in response to something.

PINGS. I trust you to figure this out yourselves! I would not like to be pinged—but ask your rp partner if they would. Most rp will take place all together not individual but there will be a lot of individual parts if it goes as planned!

REPLY TIMES. One time every week or two weeks please! More is preferred. If you are absent from rp for a month without warning I will warn you and your character will be taken over by someone else.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. I like dynamic characters that change by the end of the story! There will be certain arcs that focus on your character and their backstory—so please discuss this with me in DMs! I'd be happy to help you with any character stuff, and I'd like to be involved with creation as much as you want me to. Ofc feel free to do everything by yourself if that's how you work best. I'd like for you to have your character's backstory be somewhat detailed because it will be fun to explore their past in the story. Talk with your fellow rpers so that none end up too similar, though!

SLOTS. If you want to apply for the rp, but don't like any of the characters, you can create your own slot (based on a celestial object or any man made objects in space). They would likely only be a side character though since the main cast is one hero group and they would have to be in a separate one

IMPORTANT! One character per person at first! If nobody wants to apply then you can do a second :') Google docs only!! Just to keep it organized.
