Episode fanfic title: Who are the New Lanterns?

Location: Sector 2814 (Earth, Coast City)

Oh Hey guys, my name is Cassandra but, you can call me Cass for short, I have just turned 19 today and I'm so excited about going on to see Uncle Hal fly one of the most brand-new jet designs called a SU-30 Fighter Jet; Pretty neat huh? Yes, that's right, did I mention 'Uncle Hal Jordan'? He's my uncle to all of my siblings, Howie, Jane & Arthur, who are currently on another 18-month camping trip away from home while my parents are on their second honeymoon for the next 6 months, and as for me, I get to live in one of the Coast City's brick-wall apartments with my best friend Kia Roberts A.K.A. The MasterGrid and if you're questioning how do I know all of this then it's because I am her protégé known as the Ghost Hacker and behind all that, we're in charge of the "CodeLight" club for the superheroes/heroines support group of fun. We can chat about crushes, be ourselves, get drunk (sometimes), field trips, travel, and prepare for the next pranks. Right now, I'm inside of Hal Jordan's boss's office, waiting for him to come back from testing the billion-dollar Jet while I began texting Kia about sending in all my belongings, textbooks, movies of her choice along with my canisters of paint spray and finally, books; Querying how she's going to bring them, well in about two minutes she'll come by the girls-lockerroom after uncle Hal comes back from the flight: "Let's keep the commentary to vehicle-specific, shall we Jordan?" I roll my eyes at her comment but, had fun seeing them like this. Btw, I'm wearing a green/blue stripe shirt with a black hoodie over it, black combat boots & leggings.

While Carol tells him in a bossy/flirty side, sitting down on her seat near the microphone on top of her desk that's connected to one of the Jets comlinks in the company, she had her hands hug together since uncle Hal has dated her a few months ago and nothing has happened between the two; At least, not yet. As I watch the scene unfold before me, I began doing an anime pissed-off face without Carol knowing it (Yes, I'm a weeb) 'ugh, I just wished that they got married.' I mentally groan at this because I learned about him being scared about losing her, just like every superhero would react to their loved ones. Anywho, she's a few feet away from me since I'm doing one of my final exams for the first semester of the year at the University of NYC when at last, I finished and kept my laptop inside my BTS A.R.M.Y. backpack with dark red & black roses around it (A/N: Yes, for once I'll let my OC be a fan of BTS) until the familiar voice came on the communicators spoke, "%I was, boss. Hal continues flirting with her through the comlinks, "%That was me expressing my professional opinion of the prototype's acceleration. Btw, how's Cass?%" Walked up to next to the boss girl of Hal, with a grin to surprise him about my assignments already taken care of and smiled: "I'm doing my last assignment & I've already done with the others in a matter of 15 minutes." I said proudly to myself in the coms, which startled him & Carol to the core about my intelligent mind being a 200 IQ, is one of the things that made Uncle Hal's mouth drop to the floor in a matter of seconds, which he coughs in shock, "%15 minutes?! No wonder you got a 200 IQ, guessing it didn't come in the family, huh?%" 

Exclaimed Hal, who still flying the SU-30 Fighter jet, making Carol giggle at his response, "Pretty sure she acts recklessly when it comes to situations like this, Hal. *beep* beep* Oh, and Cass?" "Yeah?" "MasterGrid is here." She whispers with the microphone covered with one hand with a wink at me, already knowing full well who was coming to the Ferris Aircraft company; Immediately, I fled from the office in a rush to get my stuff from MasterGrid a.k.a. Kia, down the right corridor by going into the locker's room. Founded inside the boy's locker rooms, a 19-year-old black girl with her 3 thick black hair half-shaved curly pixie hairstyle, black eyes with an accessory of big yellow circle glasses, an oval face, wearing a sun shirt, white sneakers & demi-jeans:

"Y'know, you own me my 20 dollars for the bet." Kia told me with a scoff, places the army style-like duffel bag on top of the benches across the room by rolling her eyes, nervously I gave her 30 bucks instead of 20 bucks; Caught her by surprise, but took the money, puts it in her pocket before she began doing a glaring contest at me and then, 2 seconds later, we both lost and cheerfully hug each other in laughter: "You are a sore loser on it." I commented with a grin, she playfully punched my arm and said, "Hey, I'm not the only one, Cass!" She pouted, we laugh for a bit until Kia starts rambling about the holographic Projector she's been doing for the past 3 weeks for next semester's science competition; Still, in awe at her talents, I decided to tell her about me leaving earth's atmosphere and go on another adventure in the planet, OA. Ecstatic, Kia gave me a jealous/tease glance and smirked by asking: "Oh you gonna meet hot aliens?~" I blush thinking about it and punch her arm, "N-no, I wasn't! Jeez, why did you have to ask about it? This isn't Ska'ar from the Predators or even the Transformers, like all of the Autobots, Kia!" We both laugh for a while but she was anxious about going with me, which I told her if she gets a lantern ring or superpowers, she'll let me know and call me but we changed the subject about my uncle: "btw, how's your superhero Uncle Lantern?" "He's still the same guy, just flying this awesome billion-dollar SU-30 Fighter Jet that his boss/girlfriend had sent him to do some test on the engines of its maximum fire-power right now." 

I explained, she shrugged over this, frowns, and spoke, "Yeah but, without you, I won't have a replacement in the club or my partner-in-heroine like before, Cass. You're the only one I trust, including my family. I wish I can come with you." We hug like the world was about to end, whispering to each other codes with our eyes and I told her: "Fear not, Kia. I continue, "I'll contact you from Starfleet of OA later on...when I'm in space, I promise. maybe I can get you into a green lantern suit." "Don't push it." One more time we tell each other goodbye after she got kicked out of the company by police offers which, of course, made me grin and laugh in the end; Unexpectedly and out of nowhere, Uncle Hal was about to transform into his superhero outfit when secretly, I followed him by taking this opportunity to catch him off guard: "BOO!" "WHAT THE F-!" All of a sudden, Hal fell on his a** from my jumpscare coming from out of nowhere, and by the look on my uncle's face was priceless while a smirk began forming on my lips, I waited for him to answer when only he glared at me for doing so, he sighs in defeat, "Cass, now it's not the-." "Cut the bullsh*t, I know you're the Green Lantern since I was 8 now spill, what do the guardians want?" He scratches the back of his neck before replying with a look, "Okay, I'm needed back at the Green Lantern station in OA, he continues saying, "ASAP, as in right now." "Uncle Hal, can I come with you?" 

I asked him, who looked at me with a 'no', "Seriously! C'mon, today is my birthday, the least you can do is stop me from telling Carol that you're the Green Lantern." "Cass, I cannot bring you with me to OA, they'll never let you, meaning they'll take you back here to Earth." He paused when he spotted my duffle bag and my backpack: "Wait, is that-?" "Of course, it's my stuff, as I said earlier, I continue with a small warning: "the least you can stop me from telling Carol is that you're the Green Lantern is by taking me with you. And then, come back." After convincing, he gave in and changed into his Green Lantern outfit before flying out of the company out of orbit with me inside the bubble of his ring; Kia, on the other hand, watches me from afar and salutes me before never seeing me but just a small glimpse of my hope aura in a fifty shade of blue color. Forgot to mention, Kia can see everyone's auras, which it's cool because she can already tell about my Uncle's identity being revealed to me and is very good at keeping secrets; However, Kia is one I trust more than my parents & uncle since I told her about how I got abducted and injected with chemicals by the Joker & Bane along with the heart condition of mine a secret. Although she is the same age as me, we always take care of each other's backs when things get out of hand, like one time we did one of the craziest and most fun pranks of all time in secret. 

Our operation was to flood this entire hidden base that's being owned by one of the most deadly assassins ex-coach & anti-hero was Slade a.k.a. Deathstroke. Oh man, that was one of the best reckless memories ever, sadly it ended when we decided to secretly help the Teen Titans on this and left the scene before they all find out we were there. Anyway, now I'm flying into orbit, well sort of but, I'm being floated inside a green-bubble light coming from Uncle Hal's ring so I wouldn't lose my oxygen; Because one, it's in Outer-space, two I'm like far away from earth's atmosphere, three & four it only does flotation and freezes people to death. On our merry ride to OA, an unknown voice started calling Hal through his ring and begins on the communication range between one of the guardians & Earth's superheroes from Coast City when the call started with one of the guardians of OA, saying: '[Green Lantern from sector 2814, reported immediately to OA, Priority one.]' Without any hesitation, Uncle Hal ordered me to brace myself for the speed limit of flying into the universe and that it was going to be a bumpy ride as soon as he & I speedily forward into further space where more stars glow up ahead, where leads the directions of OA and at this point, my body will get frenzy once we get there, a yell in joy by saying: 

"WOOHOO!!! BEST RIDE EVER!?!" This made my uncle chuckle at my reaction that I decided to make a conversation with him about the guardians: "What's their deal with them being rude to you, Uncle Hal? It's very insulting." "Let's just say I've broken a 'few' rules when I became the first human to receive the green lantern ring in all cycles." "Cheewiz...hey, with me around, we both make each other the "two" troublemakers, right?" I smirked, which in return, he smirked at me as the journey continues, "You could say that. Besides that, I'm going to 'try not to break the rules, this time. Probably, when we get there, that is." I raised an eyebrow at his words but shrugged it off while thinking about what items or gadgets should I bring back to Earth to show Kia the souvenirs can find; Like some useful advanced gadgets on the way, two take pictures of the place for computer logo wallpaper entrance and three, when we (Hal & I) get to OA, I'm going to have a summer vacation that'll never forget.

Location: OA, Green Lantern

Once we both got to OA, I couldn't stop myself from my bewilderment and amazed by the sight of the planet; The planet of OA was glowing with a large symbol of the Green Lanterns, around the atmosphere was two large circles around the planet that keeps protecting the planet from breathing out of the outer realm: "Okay, listen carefully, Cass. My uncle spoke, "People in OA have alien beings around-" I cut him off with my hand up, "No worries, Hal. I'll manage my way around the place, what could go wrong?" Quickly, my uncle, Hal felt uneasy but relieved about bringing me here, but seeing another planet in a different city was highly unbelievable when it was right in front of my own eyes for the first time, and space is more advanced and futuristic than the one Earth has created. To be honest, I would love to move into a place like this. At last, we finally landed inside the place where one of the meetings will be held for uncle Hal and the guardians, all of a sudden, my legs fell onto my knees in dizziness by the space ride that Green Lantern (uncle Hal) helped me on my feet; Walking inside the place, I tried so hard on taking small pictures of the place with my best behavior but, ended up tripping on my own two feet which made my uncle snort out a laugh before coughing out, "Oh, anyways, stay near me... it ever so humble there's no place like OA." "I bet." The moment we headed into the middle of the corridor before I could say something about the mumbling, I bumped into someone in front of me with a loud, "Ooff!" 

Groan at this when I fell on my butt until I looked up to see a bulky muscular alien in front of me who had a very intimidating appearance with a large muscular body, a pink skin color, red eyes, a large chin, two gnaw-like teeth, and two small ears. Let me simply put that he is a wild-alien pig person; Anyways, he wears a Green Lantern outfit, which consists of a skin-tight black suit with green armor, green superhero briefs, and the Green Lantern symbol on his chest; Fortunately, my uncle spoke to him like a friend would do after coming back from the party, along with a squid-like alien, who's also another Green Lantern working with the controls of the place, "Hal Jordan of Earth." he spoke up his full name in a serious like voice, "Salaak, of... some planet whose names escapes me at the moment." Nervous and embarrassed, he scratches from the back of his head, he smiles at the squid-like alien known as Salaak, who continuously types down everything about his arrival; Except for me. Salaak seems surprised to see a female human-like me from Earth who I seem to be uninvited from the meeting, "Might I ask, Hal Jordan of Earth but, who is this female next to you?" I came up to Salaak and smiled, "Hello, my name is Cassandra Jordan but you can call me Cass for short. Also, I'm human." "Human female, I see. And, you must be related to Hal Jordan at some point?" "Yup, he's my uncle, Salaak....did I get your name right?" 

He nods with a welcoming smile and I silently cheered for myself as my uncle Hal then takes out a fist bump at his friend on the right in a moment of excitement to meet his friend: "And Kilowog, hey buddy!" Nothing. No answer. I, feeling overwhelmed about the giant pig-like alien, whose name was Kilowog as he was still crossing his arms over his buffy chest with his Green Lantern uniform; Which of course, my uncle nervously smiles at the pigman name Kilowog, with curiosity and asked: "What's going on?" "You'll find out soon enough, Jordan. Just keep professional." Kilowog replied with a grunt, uncrossing his bulky muscle arms, and walks towards the door on the right, before Uncle Hal & I could follow him, he stopped in the realization of my presence as Kilowog then said: "And definitely, don't go looking for me to bail you out this time." wondered can bring me along; Which gave him unsure feeling a bit of me staying next to Salaak that is, until I gave him a 2-minute explanation on why I want to meet the guardians face-to-face with my own eyes as to, in the end. "Did I leave the toilet seat up or something?" Uncle Hal remarks jokingly a bit, I playfully roll my silvery eyes at his joke and I walk behind him happily also, I wave a small goodbye at Kilowog. The moment we both entered, I swear my mouth was hanging open in agape at the meeting room that I rapidly grip onto my red/blue duffel bag with nervousness and watched as the door closes behind it. 

Trying with all my efforts onto NOT take out my cellphone for pictures, because one a bunch of freaking blue smurfs came floating down into their respective seats all over the place, on which I found them all adorable & two, my mind is mentally at a breaking point in which I believe that this scene is like an introduction back at high school on Earth, Star City: "-Hal Jordan of Earth, Green Lantern Sector 2814.-" His voice boomed like an echo as if he hasn't slept well, judging by his expression to be exact,' Okay, this grouchy smurf is an ass like uncle Hal said' I thought as I listen in the conversation while I stood behind Hal, taking sudden glances at one of the guardians without being spotted; That is until suddenly one of the guardians caught me and pointed at me, "-However, before we can discuss the matter, he paused when the grouchy smurf & I made eye contact which I tensed at his gaze making me feel awkward: "-Might we ask who is behind you, Hal Jordan?-" We both tensed at him, nonetheless, there's no more hiding now I reveal myself to all of them; Surprisingly making them gasp at me because they have never seen a female human before while Kilowog kept an eye on me like I was his lunch but it doesn't bother me, back on earth I was used to being giving predator looks from behind me always makes me uneasy and as for my Uncle Hal, he was a good defender when I didn't have my parents support about my decision on working on the Air-force with him but respect it. Back in the present, someone nudge my shoulder as I flinched at the sound of one of them calling me:

"-What is your name, human?-" I cleared my throat and stood confident, "My name is Cassandra Katherine Jordan, but you all can call me Cass for short..sir. If I may ask, what is your name?" "It is Appa, a human girl.-" Now, I know why we're not going get along, AT ALL. A sigh escaped from my lips and kept eyeing the guardians as the others did the same to me; The meeting has just begun and I haven't even gotten the chance to take pictures of the small floating smurfs got in front of me, wore a red outfit with a green lantern symbol in the middle of their clothes when "-Anyways, he continues: "-The Viceroy of Demraak 7, claims that when we assigned you to police crucial peace negotiations, you punched him in the face. Is this true?-" Snap my head around to face my uncle, who had his hands behind his back with a guilty expression but, completely tries to hide it by defending his words against the grouchy smurf; On which I find it very amusing just by hearing the troubling fight caused by my uncle with full detail of the fight. I gave him a raised eyebrow in amusement, 'So, you think I should follow the rules? Hehe, can't wait to contact Kia about it once she gets a kick out of this one. Will be laughing our asses off.' "No sir, my uncle denied it, "I only punched the Viceroy in the stomach. Then I headbutted him in the face, sir." "Y'know, it's the same as punching someone, right uncle?" I told him with a sly smirk on my face, which caused someone to take a small glare of betrayal and earn a chuckle from the top table, this other blue smurf is different except his hair was different. 

He seems calmer with kind eyes than the grouchy one but, by the looks of it, it seems he was the one that chuckled before at my remark: "So, The Viceroy was a serious dirtbag, using diplomatic immunity to cover up his slave trafficking ring." Precisely, what I wanted to say but, for now, I'm a bit agitated and worried about what will happen to me. My thoughts, 'Well, might as well listen to what is going.' And with those last thoughts, I listen carefully while mentally taking notes of the meeting, like it was math class but instead it's about an alien war: "=The council should note that Jordan's claims have, since been proven true by Demarkk's authorities.=" "-That is not the point-" The grouchy smurf known as Appa uncrossed his arms at the kind one, I watched him look sour with a scowl and continues, "-This lantern, clearly seems to reveal in exceeding his authority & ignoring our order...and making his own...-" His words were cut off short when the guardians of Oa, looked up at the ceiling opening itself as everyone, including me, spotted a green lantern ring floating and it suddenly fell onto the floor near my feet; Then curiosity killed me, Kilowog widen his red-black eyes at the ring and muttered out loud, "Oh no..." Feeling the grief of a lantern gone, I narrow my silver eyes at it for a moment before silently picking up the green lantern ring from the floor and handing it to Hal, who also narrowed his eyes at it: 

"We can argue about my conduct later..." He spoke accordingly to the guardians in full hero mode then continues, "But right now, someone out... there's a dead Green Lantern." That's when I told them, "He's right, I walk up to the very center of the meeting, a warning gaze at the guardians, especially the grouchy one known as Appa, whom he dislikes me much more than my uncle but I continue, getting his attention with a fair warning by matching his tone: "if you all don't explain why there's a dead green lantern out in the open, we will find out no matter what the consequences are." With that being said, Kilowog blinked at my words but my uncle, on the other hand, gave me a worried glance at what I had just said to his superiors when I told them that: "-You are stepping on thin ice, human girl.-" Appa coldly spoke, I returned his words with my defense, "Oh I doubt it, grouchy." After those words, I crossed my arms and we glared at each other for a couple of seconds, until everyone in the meeting widens their eyes when I finished speaking; Which unexpectedly, half of the smurfs covered their mouths. Preventing themselves from laughing along with Ganthet, who only chuckled at grouchy smurf, his face was fuming in rage but kept it back by furthering the other lantern name Salaak to scan the ring.

"Salaak...whose ring is this?" Kilowog finally asked him, once Salaak placed the ring on the advanced monitor, as it shows a hologram of the alien "Green lantern Meten." He responded, Hal, crossed his arms as well while I tilted my head to the right in  "Never seen this lantern in my life." He (Kilowog) gruffly added, glanced at me & Hal when we saw 'Meten' "=Salaak, display Guardian Space.=" Salaak nods, types down, and begins showing a hologram of explanation of the universe that shows the Milky Way which I found in awe at it, "=There are 3600 sectors in Guardian Space. The calm smurf continues, "=For millennia, we have dispatched our Power Rings to choose a worthy protector of each sector.=" "Hmm, so my uncle & Kilowog are the Green Lantern Corps, right?" "=You are correct, Cassandra Jordan. Display homeworld of frontier Lantern #10.=" The hologram changes to another planet, me being a science geek and with my reckless behavior I admire the technology being shown in front of my own eyes with a smile crawling on my face, luckily, I immediately bit my lip from doing so; "Frontier Lantern?" I heard Kilowog exclaim a bit with a shocked expression, one female smurf came up and said: "~This is the Guardian Frontier Lantern~, she continues explaining for the calm smurf, who kindly nods at my answer from earlier which we both exchanged smiles but ended with listening to the conversation.

"~the very edge of our territory.~" "=We have seeded lanterns there, but they are a few & far between, the vast distance makes contact with the Frontier Lanterns...sporadic, at best.=" He calmly smiles a bit with a soft nod, me & uncle Hal gave Kilowog a questionable look, with an eyebrow raised at the Guardians at the same time, he shifted uncomfortably when he said, "Then who train them?" "~They receive limited instructions from their rings. That is all.~" More explanations & questions being answered, one conversation caught my attention was, the light circles that uncle Hal Jordan asked about it, on which the grouchy smurf answered: "-These are locations where operatives are offline. Those power rings are currently in search of their new hosts, or en route back to Oa.-" I mentally took note of it in my head so I can write down a secret file for the "CodeLight" Club later, something was bugging my thoughts,' Come to think of it, I feel horrible about the other aliens' species family members to hear about their loved ones being offline permanently. However, in their point of view, where no one got a new lantern. The rings come back and that's sad. I wish my friend Kia was here to support me...THAT'S IT!' Immediately, without hesitation, I raised my hand and spoke, "Can I ask a question?" "What are you doing?" "Ssh! Uncle relax, I just wanted to ask them a question." He closed his mouth and let me continue: "You, the calm one. What your leader said about the power rings are currently in search of new hosts, right?" The calm one nodded, "=Yes.=" "Well, what if I suggest one person I know that can handle it?" 

Now everyone is perplexed about what I wanted to offer but, they turn their faces to the grouchy smurf, who was about to have a fuse of rage but was cut off by the calm one: "=Of course, we will do you have someone in mind?=" "Kia Roberts. she's from Sector 2814, planet Earth. Oh, I forgot, um...do you have a name?" "=Yes, my name is Ganthet, Mrs. Jordan.=" "Please just, Cassie or Cass." I smiled and watched his smile grow even bigger but our conversation was cut short when his grouchy smurf sent daggers at me which I ignored completely: "Meaning that they're dead?" Silence for only a few seconds until, Appa responded: "-For now, we will discuss the matter later...as for your question, Hal Jordan. That is..unfortunate. But accurate.-" "And you just sit there, doing nothing?" Uncle Hal walks up to them, already getting a bit angry at them for lying to his fellow lanterns, he stands right next to me and Salaak adds on, "And you didn't see it fit to inform us about these Lanterns deaths?" Now the four of us are pissed at the guardians, except for Ganthet, I can tell that he felt guilty for not informing the lanterns about it and that's where I understood; According to their explanation, they've got a reason to be secretive but this Hella worse than exposing it to the public. "-There's nothing to be done right now. The grouchy smurf Appa spoke coldly at us, "-Flying at top speed, you wouldn't reach the frontier for 18 months. We are formulating making a plan.-" He held his chin up with his arms put in one red sleeve while his anger is kept hidden from expressing it, but the words Appa had told uncle Hal were full of nonsense: 

"That sounds like bullsh*t to me, grouchy. If your formulating a plan why aren't you just sitting here as all of your soldiers die in vain, what about their wives & children? Have you informed them of their deaths yet? Or you're just being an ignorant blue alien who only cares about HIMSELF!?" With that said, I stormed out walking out of the meeting room with my ears fuming in smoke which leads me outside of the place, once outside my heart disease took over which got me to puke out blood from my mouth; A groan and shaky breath had escaped my lips, I opened my duffle bag, took out my orange juice that my doctor recommended and began drinking it while saying: "I can't believe the guardians of Oa would act like this? How can they be so ignorant of millions of species dying out of the outer rim of space? Ugh! I need to meditate." Already sat down, with my legs crossed when taking several deep breaths, and calmly began meditating, with no one around me only the sounds of floating lanterns, the wind hitting my soft face, and the droids beeping all over the place; But it was quite remarkable, to say the least, and it was satisfying when suddenly a small hand touched my shoulder, I open my eyes and turn around when I got face-to-face with a blue-faced Ganthet's smile. 

And behind him was Uncle Hal & Kilowog, staring at me with a confused expression, mentally I prayed that they didn't see me puking blood earlier but unluckily, Ganthet seem to have spotted it and not my uncle or Kilowog because by the looks of their reaction would be petrified and keep me safe from danger. Yeah, not letting that happen, I stood relieved that he didn't say anything only asked: "=That was very brave of you to suggest another host fill the position. I will discuss it later on with Appa & the rest of the guardians about it...If I say II was stunned and took out a lemon drop that anger wouldn't solve anything for you, Cassandra. It's what gets you clouded by judgment.=" I stared at him bewildered and got up by picking up my duffle bag from the ground was being floated by Kilowog, which made me chuckle and we four began floating as the discussion from earlier is still fresh; There was silence at first but, Uncle Hal finally spoke: "Good call, Ganthet. He continues, "Another minute & I might've had said something." "Incredibly Stupid? Yeah, I think that ship had sailed a long time ago, Jordan." Kilowog added, making me snicker at his comment, "At least you didn't blow up a fuse, Kilowog." We both laughed and stopped after Ganthet chuckled, "=You truly do seem to be a fascinating human female I have ever met. Also, it was very unexpected when you made Appa stunned by your words, seems to me you are like your uncle.=" 

I blush a bit, waving it off like it was nothing but a compliment: "Aw, it was nothing. Never took over my parents' genes only my uncles got in the way but I'm proud of it." Then suddenly, we floated to the left instead of the right, Kilowog noticed it and says, "Hey, this ain't the way to the commissary." Widen my silver eyes at Ganthet, who gave me a sly grin which I grinned knowing full well that Ganthet was a savage, he then spoke, "=Indeed, he calmly answered: "=I thought we might enjoy taking a more scenic route. Don't you agree, Mrs. Cassandra?=" I nodded in agreement and stare in awe once more when the hatch of the place opens to reveal a whole new spaceship that I couldn't help but take a picture of it: "Holy sh*t! It looks so beautiful!" I squealed happily at the prototype, Kilowog & Hal Jordan; On the other hand, widen their eyes at the most advanced spaceship that was created in all the stars: "What is that?" "=Oh? Nothing. An experimented prototype powered by Green energy itself.=" "Holy crud.." Kilowog gasped a bit, I turned when I was about talk to Uncle Hal, who showed a sly smirk from the corner of my eye: "How fast?" He asked Ganthet, who simply said, "=Well the interceptor is potentially the fastest ship ever created by sentient life.=" He responded. "Potentially?" Kilowog questioned, "Indeed, this prototype is so sophisticated & travels so fast...that the nav-computer is artificial intelligence.=" 

In a matter of seconds, my uncle was already thinking of something reckless that Kilowog pushed him away from getting near the ship and told him, "Uh oh, I know that look. Jordan, this isn't one of your earthen jet-thingies." His teeth gritted at Hal, who put his fist on his waist and floated with me in his green bubble as he tells him, "Look, I'll take her up & work the bugs out." "Still denied.~~" I sang the words, which made Hal glare at me but continues trying to convince Kilowog that his words were in defeat but then, got tired that I nearly slept in the conversation. Later that evening, I took a stroll around the park in Oa, still holding my duffle bag that's filled with my stuff & personal necessities without flight while enjoying the scenery of the place; A spotted a couple of green lanterns talking with other alien species like they were all friends. At that point, I begin being homesick. 

The lonely moment had ended until I caught Uncle Hal saw me, he motions me to follow him and I smirked evilly, once we got in I took out my laptop and connected it into the surveillance droid that was about to sound the alarm, however, if there's one thing I can do to stop it was my hacking skills; Uncle Hal is so gonna be pissed after this, I snicker at the thought and continued hacking into it when a light blue from my wires had shut down the watcher: "Okay when did you learn how to hack?" "Kia taught me how to do it in advance with cases like this, this bad boy laptop is protected with our firewall with just simple mathematics." I proudly told him, he seems pleased at first, but then he scowled me for keeping my secret talent from him that he was proud of. Now, we both got caught and bumped into Kilowog which was unexpected, I smiled as he handed out power ring chargers for their rings as we three made our merry ride to the ship. Once inside the ship, I knew I would be having so much fun in here that I jumped up & down in excitement that my uncle showed me a room; Which I was excited about, and went straight into it at full speed. 

Getting inside the room, my room was all Scifi style just like I wanted; The decor of my room walls was sound-proof colored in office blue, a white smooth desk on the left with a big-screen computer, my bed was a queen size mattress, couldn't help but feel lucky enough of how much this birthday wish had come into a reality, the only thing I started doing is jumping on my new soft mattress and dropping my stuff on the floor while admiring the décor.

& the bathroom was one I wish it can be made on earth: It was all in greenish-blue neon glow all over the walls, even the bathtub & shower was converted in neon glow. 

The moment I called my best friend Kia through my phone by face-time her, "Look at the size of my room...inside a spaceship of Oa's brand new design." I whispered the last part to her, that's when all hell broke loose when Kia shouted and calls her brothers, who came rushing to her phone to check out the place with a lot, oh he'd, she immediately answered it and saw my facetime video showing the décor of the room and screams in delight, "Wow, this room is neat! Omg, there's a window there! And check out the bathroom, let me screenshot it *camera clicks* perfecto!" "Damn, no wonder you love your uncle so much, Silver." "Hey, can we see the view?" They exclaimed, I couldn't help but laugh at their reaction, I obliged to their wish (only once) to run up to the window with my hands on it and smile; Unknowingly, tears began falling from my silver eyes that I started into the Abyss as I dried them off by using one of my sleeves and Kia giggles, "But still, I'm so jealous right now! Aw, I wish I was there too!" I laughed at her pouting, "Me too! We could have had a slumber party together and-" 

All of a sudden, Kia saw the lights in my new room flickering she panics and said, "Turn off your phone quick! It looks like your in the star wars model, bye and text later!" She ordered. The call ended with the room & me shaking with so many vibrations that I immediately ran out of the room to the main control center without realizing it, accidentally hitting my head hard leaving me unconscious.

Location: Sector 12...Time skip~

Felt dizzy, my blood was pumping in adrenaline, my heart began throbbing in pain that I hold onto my forehead with the wall by leaning it for support until a groan escaped my lips when Uncle Hal & Kilowog got up along with me, "Everyone okay?" I coughed and weakly smiled with a nod at my uncle, Kilowog patted my back hard: "No worries, puzza. Sorry for hitting you." Noticing he felt a wave of guilt, I hugged him which by the way, returns It happily and with a sigh of relief and a nervous laugh, Hal told us to buckle up saying that this was a rescue mission on which, I took my seat on the left side of the control room; Being in the mission for the first time in the frontier liner was going to be super fun! We got there just in time before the 'red lanterns?' were about to shoot and murder the green Frontier Lantern but we were just in time to stop it, what caught my attention was the alien in the red helmet along with his suit with lantern insignia but in red & black; His description was different from the red beach ball alien, his eyes were a cold blue color that they can stare into your soul in a matter of hours, his face looked as if he had been tattooed, his skin was light blue but it's also marked probably part of his skin and his biceps & legs are well built. Almost drooled at the sight, unfortunately, I didn't even think that my BFF was right about me having crushes on alien beings. A slap in the back of my head disturbed my daydream I was about to scowl at the person until I saw my uncle snapping his fingers at me.

"Alien planet to Cass!" "Huh? What?" I stuttered, cleared my throat, and said, "yes uncle!" "Keep an eye on the ship, Aya doesn't let my niece out of sight!" The moment he said that my blood boiled, however, is the last thing my uncle had said while leaving me trapped, inside the ship without even helping him, I fumed in rage but calmly collected myself right away by joining them with a suit I have secretly made for myself; In case I got the chance to fly in space on which this is coming true and my chance to prove myself that I'm not a damsel in distress. That is when an AI spoke: "Hal Jordan instructed me to not let you leave since you are to keep an eye on the ship." The AI known as Aya said through the monitor, I ignore her explanation, "Aya, I continue: "I'm not going to sit here & do nothing, back on earth all human females have the right to be equals in battle and staying in here isn't going to get me anywhere which means I'm not weak-" I was cut off by Aya saying something that made my blood run cold, "Would you like me to scan you?" Hesitant nod out of the blue, letting her quick scan me: "Scan complete. You're having problems with your heart condition, the chemicals that are inside your bloodstream is infected with 30% of carbon, 100% of dangerous toxins, 500% of mercury, 230% of zinc, 45% of Sulfur, another 30% of Nicotine, 111% of Livermorium & lastly, 222% of Foxglove. 

"If you aren't taking any medications, your heart condition will be abnormally high. According to my analysis, your human body must need surgery or a cure." I was stunned and took out a lemon drop and shocked at her response about her analysis of my heart condition which I now learned that it's growing slowly poisonous into my veins and leads towards my heart; Was I scared? To be honest, I am afraid of dying but that doesn't stop me from helping Green Lanterns. "Aya." "Yes?" "There isn't a cure for me but, what I can ask a favor of you is to please...lie about me being healthy and don't tell anyone; Including Hal Jordan. I don't want to be his burden of my health condition, he's already been through so many things that happen in his personal life. Promise me you won't tell my uncle, Aya. I'm begging you." It took her a couple of seconds before she responded: "...Alright, I promise." A wave of relief had left my shoulders and with that being said, I left back to the open exit and pulled out the shield bracelet that keeps me protected from anything (thank you Kia), and left running out of the ship to rescue the front liner.

One moment my uncle & Kilowog were floating to save the day, and the next thing was them both getting shot by two red lanterns, I widen my eyes and came rushing to Uncle Hal: "Hey! Leave them alone!" I shouted, immediately regretting my choice of defense I was now their new target, I continue running like hell as my legs could carry, but luckily, Kilowog came and saved me, which I then, was introduced by Green Lantern scolding me, "Cass, what the hell are you doing out here? And how on earth-?" "Save the questions for later, Jordan. We got red lanterns heading our way c'mon!!!" I told him loud enough for him to shut up, while the red lanterns came floating in speed behind our tails; Already hiding behind a rock, Kilowog fumed in anger with a growl: "Red Lanterns? What is a Red Lantern?!" "These guys I'm guessing. Let's move!" Once the red lanterns caught us they started shooting red energy from their power rings at us, we immediately ran and flew up to save the frontier liner but got distracted by them chasing us down like we were their prey. Red Lanterns continue on our tails until Kilowog used his ring to create a huge block size shield and punched the red beach ball away from him as the other red lantern gritted his fangs, raise his right arm, and starts shooting red energy at Kilowog.

When slashing away the green energy from his partner, the red helmet alien & Kilowog got were too deep into the fight that they both hadn't realized that I had gotten the blast from the red lantern; Causing Kilowog to be knocked a few miles away from me. The alien with the red helmet known as a red lantern felt a wave of guilt fill his cold blue eyes, my vision got blurry when the last thing I saw was the alien man with the tattooed face, holding me into his arms and got blacked out. 

Back inside the ship..(Hal Jordan's P.O.V.):

After fighting the red lanterns, I fell unconscious onto the ship's battery core, and over a minute, I moved a bit with a groan when suddenly I moved my head around to meet with Kilowog's face while giving me a worried but proud look before saying, "Easy, hotshot. he continues, "Think you're pretty clever charging your ring of the engine like that, huh? I'd say you're lucky that your arm didn't blow off." My eyes blinked, before grabbing my head with my hand, almost a bit dizzy from what happened, and sat up from the medical bed, "It feels like I did, what about the other one? and Cass?" I asked, "Don't worry about the hard case over there. He's gonna be a little sore for the rest of his life...Your niece, however, " He pointed at the medical bed where laid Cassandra, as panic took over me from seeing her in a hard state, "Took the hard shot from the red lantern. I'm sorry..." Kilowog looked down at the floor, felt bad about not protecting my niece, "She isn't-?" "Dead? No! She isn't, she's just about to wake up soon but also, lucky to survive." 

I smiled at him and noticed that she kept mumbling words, we went over to listen but all she mumbles were numbers of coordinates, then jolted from her sleep and yells, "I didn't hack anything!!" We both widen our eyes in confusion, yup same old Cassie was back with a heavy sigh of relief escaping my mouth. I immediately hugged her, she returns it afterward I glared at her.

(Another Cassandra's Pov): 

'Uh oh, he's glaring. Not good.' I gulped in my nervousness, before explaining to me about safety measures and regulations about not getting into trouble like that ever again with any mission because my family would be pissed if I was back in my own dead body in my uncle's arms; Kilowog, however, scratches the back of his neck and said, "Hey kid, I'm sorry for not saving you." "It's okay, Kilowog. Everyone makes mistakes but we always fix them, so don't go over & panic, you're strong and you are an awesome warrior like my uncle." A sudden slap in the back by Kilowog, who chuckled at me and turns to Hal, "You sure she's your kid, Jordan?" "Nope but she's my blood. Anyway, how's Cassandra's vitals, Aya?" Mentally praying for Aya, in hopes she doesn't expose me, she responded in a lie by stating, "Affirmative. she continues: "Her vital levels are normal, you should be able to stand up now." I smiled, knowing full well that she kept my secret from my uncle & Kilowog about my vitals being normal, sat up and stood out of the medical bed by listening to Uncle's conversation with Kilowog: 

"Where are our friends Beach Ball & Chain?" Kilowog crossed his arms and rolled his eyes at the mention of Red Lanterns, I chuckled and kept listening to the conversation when suddenly, it hit me. The Red Lantern with the tattooed face carried me somewhere, I was about to tell them but decided against it by Kilowog answering: "Your fireworks sent them off on a little field trip. But I got a bad feeling we'll be seeing them real soon." The two green lanterns & I left the Frontier lantern to rest while I took my left seat and sat down, "I'm guessing they will be, Kilowog." "Don't jinx it, kid. In the meantime, who knows...maybe we'll be able to get you back on your date with Carol after all." Kilowog told him, sounding confident and positive about it. Now that I think about it, I suppose this can change from negativity to another positivity. "Dinner will have to wait but, for now, we fight them." "Let's go & kick their asses!"

Time skip~

After accessing the Guardians of Oa discussion with my uncle & his fellow lanterns, thanks to Aya, I'm fully entered through the security cameras and listened to it very carefully while Kia, is in Facetime mode, has also joined into listening to the conversation: "Damn, Cass. They're no joke, huh? But Red Lanterns? That sounds like a gangster name." "You have no idea. I snickered while eating some spicy Doritos, "Oh btw, today I used the space breathing bracelet you gave me on my birthday from last year." "Really?" "Yeah, & it was a success I can stay on breathing oxygen for only 2 or more to 24hrs straight." Kia applauded herself and bows at me, saying in a singing voice and dances in victory: "I'm a super hacker & I worked my magic on them like a charmm~~ Oh yeah!" We laugh our asses off before I told her, "Oh, do you remember when you said 'you wish you were going with me' well, I requested one of the guardians like Appa? He's one of the Guardians standing in the middle." I pointed at the computer screen where grouchy Appa was, Kia snorted: "He is a grouchy smurf." "Yup, anyway, I advised them if I can suggest someone I know could take on the position as the Frontier Lantern; At first, they denied it but, Ganthet, he's the wise one on the left. He told me that he'll notify me if you can become a lantern." And the look on Kia's face was priceless, she then, fainted but immediately regain herself before screaming: 

"Are you out of your mind?!? What if they don't accept me or they'll pick someone better than me? I may be a hacker but that doesn't I can become a heroine." She rambled a lot of worries but I began reassuring her in a calming manner, "And this is why I want to give you the opportunity of taking care of the earth while I'm away with my uncle." Silence until, she sighed, "Touche, Cass. Kia rolls her eyes and continues, "Still though, I'm beginning to get very worried that they won't accept your proposal on me joining them. Hey, haven't asked about your heart condition yet?" Now it was my turn to stay silent, which meant that Kia was going to have a fit, I sadly smiled at her, "I...I was analyzed by Aya, she's an Artificial Intelligence who runs the controls of the ship, she told me that they're so many dangerous chemicals inside my bloodstream; Meaning if I don't get surgery, I would slowly die in less than next week or maybe, in one month." "One MONTH!??! Okay, that's way out of the line, you can't just die! Look, I get that you don't want to tell your uncle or your family members about your heart condition but, this is way more serious than you being killed out of the open." "You think I don't know that Kia!" A sudden groan and slap inside the pain welling up my heart, I gripped onto the center of my sweater tightly for breathing, and coughed blood, "Have you taken your medicine yet?..." At the speed of a flash, I rustle through my pockets and took out my pills, eat two, and swallow it with water, we both sigh in relief and continue, "Hey, K. Have hope, okay?" 

"You always say have hope, what's with you having hope about everything?" "Because it always works, it's my lucky word. Oh gotta go, let me know when you want to text me or facetime for homework assignments, okay? Love you, MasterGrid." "Love you too, GhostHacker. Now, promise me you'll get cured before they find out." I nodded, turn off my cellphone. The conversation of the Guardians of Oa, during which they had a holographic meeting with Appa Ali Apsa, Ganthet, and Sayd to discuss the discovery of another lantern corps has ended, I listen to half of it because Kia & I talked and the only I heard was, Aya suddenly detected a probe which bore the Red Lantern symbol. 'This is getting even better than ever.' I thought to myself when Uncle Hal ordered Aya to plot intercept course, instantly came running back to the control room to join them where Uncle Hal & Kilowog were and sat in my usual seat next to the Frontier Lantern, who seemed confused when we both met so, I flash him a kind smile and introduced myself: "Hi, my name is Cassandra, but you can call me Cass for short! What's yours?" 

He exchanged a smile back to me, he wore the green Lantern suit like what my Uncle is wearing, except for the mask because he's an alien; Took out my hand, leading in confusion until I made a quick explanation to him and we both shook hands, "Shyir Rev. Nice to meet you." "You too, Rev." Now, back to the ship going into jump-space mode since we all were going back to Oa but, something tells me that it won't happen, I mentally pray for safety and protection while holding onto my seat for dear life, I was determined and a bit of a hurry-up person; Waiting for Uncle Hal's flying techniques were getting out of balance. Kilowog stared in shock was we 4 were met with a Red Lantern's droid, my uncle ordered him to stop staring and blast the droid, they all continue blasting until it shot off the shield meaning it was now degrading fast, I then, told Aya to lend me the blaster weapon and once I had control on them, I manage to shot the damn thing with a victory dance; That is until Rev felt his injuries that I rushed to him aid him as Kilowog began urging my Uncle to jump-space back to Oa, he doesn't listen and continues steering the ship into a dogfight with the probe. 

After battling the droid, and managing to destroy it, we all relaxed in silence with my uncle putting his hands behind his head, feeling proud of himself, Kilowog turns around with a grunt, "Happy?" I snorted at his comment and took out a lemon drop that caught everyone's attention, including Rev; Who kept staring at the small lemon drop, Hal looked disgusted at it, "How can you eat that candy?" "Because it's sweet & the flavor is divine." Kilowog, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow as Rev sneakily smiles at it and ate it, before I could eat it, I pouted on which he found it tasty and asked if I had more; Chuckling in the process, I shook my head but told him I would show him the ingredients and copy them in his language with Aya's help, so he can ask his wife make them as a sweet drink. He was married and has a daughter named Amala, of course, I find children adorable and know how to cheer them up; Seconds later, Hal finally spoke, "That felt good!" He smiled, still proud of killing the probe, Rev turns and explained about the probe: "A probe tlike that means the Red Lanterns are more than just two killers with rings & a symbol. They're organized." 

"So you're saying that they're like a Band?" "If you put it that way, Cass then yes." He said I ooh'ed at his answer and sat back in my seat, uncle Hal shrugs with a look of a flop: "Yeah...looks like we can't hog all the fun. he continues, "Let's hit HQ & load up the boys as we planned. Aya, take us home." "Arching ultra-wrap drives, ready in 3...2...1. Impel." Aya commences the operation of jump-spacing back to Oa, making me feel sad because the trip or shall I say, mission; Just as we're about to hyper-space ourselves back to Oa, the power of the ship had sudden breakouts with demised itself into bits of crisp intact collision that my wish had chosen me to stay, but kept it to myself and heard Rev first to speak: "Are we there yet?" Rev & I grunted at the same time in a weakly voice, along with Kilowog saying, "Aya, what happened?" He asked her, while Uncle Hal, who seems to shake his head by the small impact when listens to Aya's announcement about the repairs of the overload; Which is due to one of the hairline cracks in the ultra-wrap coil in need of repairing. Along with causing the last missile to ultimately hit our engines as it was the Red Lantern's probe fault:

'So my acknowledgment about the probe was planned by the tattooed man's idea to have done this...Then again, why would a tall and handsome bad boy type carry me when I was running away from him & the beach ball? Ugh, it doesn't make sense, maybe I can ask him---if I get to see him again...Okay, Stop saying handsome to someone I had just met.'  My realization of thinking of the red lantern made me blush, making me mentally slap my face from blushing and took out a front of my uncle's partners and continue hearing more about the bad news, which made me & my uncle's blood run cold while Kilowog sends death glares at him: "For the record, she said 'most likely',...not likely." "What does that mean, Hal?" Rev questions him, sounding worried about the news, my uncle then stated, "It means we're gonna be a bit late to Oa, that's okay. I like to make an entrance. Aya, please estimate the repairs." Me, Kilowog & Rev turn facing back at Hal Jordan/Green Lantern/Uncle who seemed to be the impostor in the room. (sorry among us! XD) 

Puts his hands on his waist, while he awaits Aya when she immediately answers, "Calculating, ultra-wrap ready in 9.2-" "9 minutes, no problem!" "9.2 minutes in one month." She inquires her calculation, my fear rises throughout my chest and, spoke, "Uncle, I continue hesitantly: "Does this mean that...I'm stuck with you?" "I guess so, Cass. Sorry for ruining your birthday wish." I wave it off as I felt a small head pressed against my shoulder, caught me off guard, and turn to examine Rev almost looking light-headed and weak; Kilowog came to his aid, I position him properly and ordered my uncle to get a pillow, he left and comes back with a grey pillow by handing it to me before placing it on my lap, "I may not be a doctoral student but I did my homework on what his pain is about, you've fractured both ribs of each side when you were in battle, it's best to lay down a bit. So it wouldn't hurt much." I motion him, he lays down on my lap with the pillow under him but stays awake as he feels relaxed and Kilowog starts, sounding rude for a while with a complaint at my uncle, "He's taken a beating. He needs a real doctor, he's not making 9 hours, never mind 9 months!" "I was...really looking forward to seeing Oa." Rev sighs out with no hope of seeing the place.

I felt bad for him and at the same time, I took out my phone and showed him a picture of Oa: "This is Oa. I took some pictures while I was there for the first time." He seems happy and thanked me, then after a small argument, we all left to Rev's colony as he puts it but I rather say his home planet. 

(Cassandra's Pov): 

Once we landed on the planet, my uncle used his ring to make a holographic bed by carefully placing Rev in a standing position; After he introduce me, Kilowog & my Uncle Hal to his wife, I found out she was very kind and he (Rev) explained to her that I aided him a bit when I mention his ribs were fractured earlier. She thanked me for reassuring her husband to rest on the trip, as soon as Rev began telling the story of how he met his wife and what he used to be as an engineer before becoming a green lantern-like my uncle Hal Jordan; Turns out she is the colony's head geologist & a doctor. Rev's wife, however, after healing her husband and carrying her daughter Amala in her arms, then gives me a tour of the place where Amala started showing me around their planet that we both began playing together. In the glowing blue cornfields, little Amala & I started playing an app I had on my cellphone called Solitaire, she found it fun and wanted to learn so, after teaching her the basics of it she won instantly when afterward, we race up the hill where Uncle Hal & Kilowog was and started pointing out the scores: "I got 2 points on it, Amala." "No, it was 3 points. You cheated because you had long slender legs." Her comment along with the pouting sound of her voice, made me blush at the 'slender' word, not knowing what to think of defending myself, I let her win; Everything was going normal until Aya informed us about a tracker that has been placed on the interceptor's full right-wing. 

Hal Jordan used his power ring to scan the spaceship, finally, he finds it and punches it so it can stay broken but, it wasn't enough; A sudden boom portal came landing into the volcano mountain with a bombshell as it showed a giant red hologram of another alien dressed with the insignia of the Red Lanterns, "{This colony knows enjoys the protection of the Red Lantern Corps} he continues adding that he has deployed a fortress/bomb from Shard: "{You've been liberated by the tyranny of the Guardians. But their Green Lantern lackeys are here.. you have one solar hour to bring these war criminals to us...or your planet will be vaporized.}" 

(Nobody's P.O.V.): 

The transmission ends with the innocent lives freaking out about their homes being vaporized by the Red Lantern Corps, but Hal Jordan, on the other hand, who is already pissed off by the sound of his voice, didn't like them whatsoever: "Those murdering red-" He gets cut off by his niece, Cassandra growling at the red lanterns, "Puh-lease! I don't think HE deserves to know the whereabouts of Green Lanterns like my uncle! You mess with the wrong human b*tch!" Before she can walk up to the detonator, she felt someone pulling her back, which was her uncle Hal who's refraining her from going up to the enemy, "Hey, Hey, easy tiger. It's best to get overly angry about it, right now we need to come up with a strategy." Hal told her by slowly letting go of her arms she sighs in defeat, "Fine, but he does something to you or Kilowog or these people, I'm going to beat his a** until he's burned into a pile of crisp." Chuckles at her threat and forms a plan about how to take out the bad guys. "We have to turn ourselves over to them." Rev spoke, "Shyir, no!" Exclaimed Rev's wife while holding on to her daughter, Amala: "We don't have a choice." He reacted.

"These murdering red lanterns," Kilowog continues shouting: "They're gonna blow up this rock, no matter what you do!" "We do have a choice. Hal says, "We can fight them, & keep fighting until we can't fight anymore." They were settled and began the plan, but out of the blue, Shyir Rev's wife called, "Wait, I have another way." After a couple of agreements, they began their journey but little did they know was that one relative Jordan had already left running to the detonator.

-Inside the detonator-

Atrocitus stood in front of the window, with his hands behind his back as his Red Lantern Corp companions, Razer & Zox stand behind him near the detonator and waited until the time was up, "Time's up! Shall I initiate the countdown to detonation?" He grins evilly, the leader turns over his head over his shoulder and spoke, "{No...Razer will do it.}" A shock expression had raised from Razer's face with the fear of killing millions of innocents of this planet was making him hesitate as he feels the suffer and decided whether it was the right choice to join the Red Lanterns, he gripped his hands into a tight fist, "Atrocitus, our cause is right and just...Razer releases the grip of his fist and walks up to his leader, trying to change his mind about the killing of the people living on this planet: "But, to kill innocents..." Hesitant, about their methods of killing, hesitated before attempting to kill was what his superiors don't enjoy; Unfortunately, Zilius Zox bested him to it, expressing his jealousy of Razer's consciousness on not bombing the planet with these words: "As you can see Master, he's weak! Weak!" 

Zox sneered, his grin grew even bigger when Atrocitus turns around to dart at Razer's defensive state, he gritted his teeth:"{The Guardians &The Guardians and their lapdogs destroyed my homeworld. And Zilius's. And countless others. Atrocitus walks towards Razer like he was kidnapping his prey, already angry at his weakness, who backs away from his leader near the detonator: "{By making an example of these disloyal few, we save millions later. Show weakness now & you doom our people forever.}" At this moment, Razer's icy blue eyes pleaded in fear of disobeying his master's orders but he covers it up with his ruthless tone of a threat like he acts brave and emotionless: "I'm not weak. I'm not a coward. For the greater good, and vengeance!" Before everyone knows it, he pressed the detonation button without hesitation and no remorse had obeyed his master's orders; The detonation begins initiating the warning to the civilians from outside to evacuate, "Hey!" Called out a brown hair female with silver eyes, hits Zilius Zox's entire beach ball body away from the detonator with a baseball bat, Atrocitus & Razer's faces were priceless in Cassandra's point of view and began growling: 

"You dare challenge me, girl!" "Yes, and I won't stop you. Besides, she walks up to them with a sly smirk, and walks up to Atrocitus, "You are the ONE who is a coward because you can't even think twice of fighting a mere human girl like me." Cassandra understood that challenging herself with a muscular red alien-like Atrocitus is going to be a tough challenge but if he isn't willing to take upon fighting a human girl; Then he is mistaken. A deep evil chuckle had escaped from Atrocitus's mouth, who smirks slightly down at her: "{I'm no coward, little girl. And you'll be the one to kneel & beg your master.}" "Well, I ain't going to kneel to your stupid ego, a**hole." From then on, Cassandra initiated the battle of defeating Atrocitus, who takes out his red power ring as his weapon and points at her, jumps on top of him by wrapping her legs around his neck, pulls his small ears, and forces him to fall on the floor with a loud bang; "Master!" Zox exclaims in worry of his Atrocitus, getting defeated by a mere human girl like Cassandra, "{QUIET, Zox! My challenger & I are in for a great battle here.}" Grunted, which was out of character to Atrocitus, he growls in anger and uses his red power ring to lift her by tying her up tightly, which she tries to resist from getting near him by throwing her body towards him, and punching her abdomen HARD onto the wall. Letting her go and grunts in pain.

Earning herself a low grunt when fell over in pain as she coughs out blood in pain; Due to her heart condition that she's kept a secret almost her entire life. Her face was paling every time she fought with Atrocitus, with no power ring to call as her own to protect herself, she would die in the hands of the Red Lanterns; Nevertheless, Cassandra never stopped fighting, she had so much hope that this challenge of herself against him had seemed to bring more confidence of her interest in becoming a fighter like her uncle thus it causes to entice him when she used her fighting skills, "{Interesting, you seem to have potential in becoming a Red Lantern, human girl.}" Atrocitus icily grins at his challenger, who wipes the blood from her lips and slowly regains her energy by getting up from the floor, "Nop, I'm just getting started." She breaths heavily as a smirk was plastered on her face, once Cassandra's silvers eyes met with Razer's icy blue eyes; it clicked, and not comprehending the situation of her seeing him again had made her butterflies fluttering in her stomach or the fact on why she felt more confident on her skills whenever he was around and got back on her feet in her fighting stance. In a matter of seconds, she was pinned to the detonator by Atrocitus, "just as he was about to kill her, a familiar voice echoed the place: "Knock! Knock! Anybody home?!?" 

The Red Lanterns turn around and face whoever it was, Cassandra smiles at the intruder that happens to be, her Uncle, Hal Jordan a.k.a Green Lantern. Widen his eyes at seeing his niece being pinned to the wall of the detonator were being held as a captive, in the Red Lanterns' point of view, they were angered and floated out to find the Green Lantern outside; But, just as Razer was about to join his master & Zox, he listens to his master's orders: "{Razer, Atrocitus continues, stay, hold the prisoner & guard the device. If attacked, do your duty.}" Finished they left Razer, hesitant at the fact he has to detonate the countdown, he looks down at himself but suddenly, his deep thoughts were caught up by glancing at Cassandra about to leave and ties her up with his power ring into a tight rope, "Stay or I'll end you." "Ngh, I know you wouldn't. He eyed her for a few seconds, before tightening his power ring around her as she gasps for air that Razer loosen it a bit and she continues, "Because you are not killer, I can see that deep down in your eyes, you want to save these people out there, you don't have to listen to his Every order, y'know. You can be your self, not servitude." 

"I'm not in servitude. He saved millions of lives & He-." Cut off a sentence by her, she says: "Yeah well, shame on him that he isn't saving others like you keep telling yourself that he will reconsider & by the looks of it, I don't think your partner will either." "Why am I even talking to you?" "Because you feel guilty for all the crimes you have committed & wanted to be the last alien to talk to a human girl like me. I don't know anything about you or do you want me to keep quiet." Razer stays quiet, he glares at Cassandra but the words she had told him, had just sunk in him but then she got an idea on how to stop the detonator from exploding, luckily for her, Cass can decipher the code of undetonated the device with an alien computer; Unexpectedly she felt the red power ring rope holoform disappear which caught her off guard and smiles gently at him with a nod of respect. "Stay here." Without saying anything else, Razer disappeared from her eyes and hid in the shadows, worried about him which caught her very weird until a sudden door had burst open by Kilowog & Shyir Rev's power rings, who both were surprised to see she got there in time: "Puzza, what the-?" 

"Long story short, I came running to the detonator, fought with the Leader of the Red Lantern, bruises to prove it & got an idea on how to use the control panel." "But you don't even know how this control panel knowledge of its technology!" Kilowog exclaimed, this made Cassandra roll her silver eyes on him, by telling him: "The hell I can, I'm at risk bc I wanted to join this mission!" "Okay, now do you think you can disarm it, Rev & Cass?" "We'll need a few minutes-" Rev's sentence was cut short when a shadow from above, looks down coldly at the Green Lanterns & Cassandra, before attacking them but instead of her being shot at, Razer decided against not attacking her and attack the Green Lanterns instead; Nevertheless, he continues fighting

when all of a sudden, a different kind of button appeared next to the wries as she pressed it was it: "Hey, there's a computer here! Cassandra takes out an alien computer, flips it open, and says, "If I can hack into the system, then it can stop this joint from blowing up the planet!" Rev smiles, "In this case, you'll need my help for it." They both nod and continue hacking the detonator, which causes Kilowog to message Hal about the progress of his niece & Rev working together as a team; Being proud of her was good but the reckless things he has taught her were inexplicably at large. Razer continues fighting on Kilowog, gets hit by the red power ring, he turns at Cass & Rev's work by saying: "This guy ain't messing around." "Keep him back, just for a couple of minutes. Cass & I are almost done!" Rev nervously but bravely helps out as best as he can for the sake of his wife & daughter, "Guys, We've hacked into the detonator's mainframe, if Rev can slow it down it'll give me the chance to stop it from exploding the planet, so keep him distracted!" "Will cover you, do it & fast!" That being said, Cassandra & Rev worked on their sleeves to refrain it from exploding the entire race of his kind, from wire to wire to a connector to another connecter was like clockwork for almost hours before the countdown begins. 

Frustrated it was for a Green Lantern to fight against a Red Lantern, was not pleasant that Razer begins pointing the fingers at them, "This is your fault! he continues, "You Green Lanterns might enjoy the destruction of planets, But I do not!" He was about to shoot out his red power ring blast at Kilowog but got stopped when he lifts Razer with a slight punch to the stomach and lands him down onto the ground, he groans and floats up while hearing Kilowog's words yelling out at Razer so he can think thoroughly of his actions that caused him harm: "In case you haven't been keeping up with the current events...you guys put this thing here & pressed that button! YOU WANNA HELP, STOP FIGHTING US!?!" "I WON'T LISTEN TO YOUR LIES! I'LL DESTROY THE THREE OF YOU!" Razer yells at him, before standing up and flying at Kilowog with his red holographic whip while he (Kilowog) made a sledgehammer to use as a weapon by trying to smash him "And what? You gonna mass murder these people by blowing them up?!?" Razer doesn't to a single word he says but Cassandra motions Rev to continue by running in front of Kilowog and stares at him, "You know what your fighting against, Red. 

"But what are you fighting for? Are you fighting for the innocent or the fact that you are being commanded to do it when you don't want to even KILLL THESE INNOCENT LIVES THAT YOU JUST WISH TO SAVE FROM HARMS WAY!??!" Widen his blue eyes, he listens to her every word by refraining himself and blinking before looking down at his own covered hands until he got distracted with Kilowog hitting him straight in the chest; Causing him to fly out of the window, with nothing to deal with his enemies, he couldn't help but stare at Cassandra a few seconds before flying away from her. Kilowog then, muttered, "Dumb kid." "He may be like that, Kilo but deep down he was a good heart." "This ain't earth, Jordan!" He said before Kilowog realized what he just said and apologize which she forgave him and left to continue on the hacking device, "Let's have some good news?" /Detonation in 30 seconds/  Nothing was good enough to stop it now.

This infuriates the Leader of the Red Lanterns, watching his members failing, Atrocitus's yellow eyes narrowed at the human girl with her laptop connected to the detonator in interest from afar and left that he felt intrigued by her bravery, hacking talents & even her fighting skills that he found a sudden idea of making her as {his pet}; Rushed into his thick skull and evilly floated behind her with an evil smile: "{Surrender or this female will die.}" Using his red power ring as a weapon, was near across her neck, everyone paused the fight that Kilowog widen his eyes before saying, "Leave her alone, you punk!" "Yeah, leave me ALONE, you a**hole!" The red power ring was touching Cassandra's neck into a choking hold, at this point, almost ready to kill her in front of her uncle; Who stared in fear & panicked scared for Jordan's niece own life but, she wasn't that dumb to stay in Atrocitus hold forever because she knew this day would be in this position, one thing that led her to another was kicking the Leader of the Red Lantern Corps where the sun doesn't shine, punching his strong face with all her might, which cause her to break her hand, in the process, but didn't care about the pain; Instead, she backflips him by his right wrist with her broken hand and smirks: 

"Say, thanks for leaving me alone, Citrus." "{IT'S ATROCITUS, GIRL!}" "Yeah...whatever." With that, the fight ended with the Red Lanterns retreating, and Cassandra collapses on the floor that Kilowg caught her in time and said, "Nice going, kid." She nods before going back to Shyir Rev, who's struggling to stop the detonator from exploding its core, "Time to go." "I can keep the laser from igniting the plutonium, for a little while anyway." "No, there's got to be another way to stop it! You can't die like this, you can't!" Suddenly tears began streaming down her face while watching Rev suffer in holding onto his ring, she couldn't feel so useless in her entire life all she wanted to do was help everyone be safe from harm's way, just like her uncle but, if she can't change it then she would suffer and regret on not saving someone for the first time; Without any warning, Cassandra jumps out of Kilowog's arms and tackles Rev into a warm hug by crying: "You can't...Your wife...Amala they'll be saddened by this. You're like..." Chokes up in tears, while saying: "The first friend a girl could ever ask for. who's from this planet..." Kilowog left them to save Rev's people from co-extinction, by leaving Cassandra with Rev one last time.

Rev looks down at her with sadness in his pleading eyes and soothes her with his free hand by telling her, "It's alright...they'll be alright, just promise me..you'll save countless others just like your uncle & the lemon drop ingredient you wish to give my wife as your goodbye gift, okay?" She sadly laughs at his second promise and nods, "I will..." Unexpectedly, a familiar voice echoed the place which caused Cassandra to look up at the Red Lantern with a tattooed face to float down inside the detonator with his red power ring ready to aim & kill Rev, "It was foolish of you to stay when there's no hope, Green Lantern." He quietly sneered at him but, came to a conclusion when he spotted Cassandra in the Green Lantern's arms, who stares back at him with her silvery eyes filled with pain, grief, guilt, and sadness all combined in one mix, Razer couldn't think straight when she was near that his soften at this but, his thoughts of killing ended when Rev began explaining, "Yeah...we're dumb that way. He paused for a second, turns to Razer, and continues: "But there's always hope. I know you aren't that bad, maybe it's time you let others know too." 

Lets down his guard down from killing and realized that Rev was right, Green Lanterns may be dumb but they have different ways of protecting and saving other lives. "Best get going, son. I can handle this last part by myself... One more thing, Cassandra...Her uncle is looking for her. Can you take her to him, son?" Razer nods in respect, by taking his leave, and Cassandra's crying form in his arms hesitantly holds herself against his chest armor, floats out of the planet safely while forming a red bubble around herself so she wouldn't lose oxygen; Now in the space, still in his arms, he didn't know what to say or comfort the human girl, who he now knows her name is Cassandra: 'Her name...it suits her.' Without thinking about what he was doing, Razer slowly hugged her crying form; Making her freeze at the sudden warmth that is given to her, and from the corner of her eye, she saw it was her savior. Bit her lower lip with tears still falling from her eyes, and mumbled in a whisper, "I wish I could have saved him right there but,...I was too late..." Tears continue to fall from the corner of her eyes, which she had just witnessed before being floated towards a giant rock and sat down in the red bubble with her knees on. 

The planet exploded into smithereens, nothing survived...only rocks. "It's not your fault, y'know... she continues by trying to wipe her tears but they keep falling every time she dries them and continues, "it's just how the universe works, right...Now, here I am on my birthday, wanting to live an adventure when my gift of helping others couldn't save them." A hesitant hand cups her left cheek dries her tears away with his thumb and stares into her silver eyes making eye contact from up-close which causes her cheeks to burn in flames, "I want to apologize for not saving him as well, Cassandra. Not good at comforting others like I am now but...You'll have to be strong like that Green Lantern said, 'have hope' " Nodded in agreement, she decided to ask his name, "I...have a question. What's your name?" "Razer...my name is Razer. And I'm sorry to do this." He quietly lets go of the hug, slightly feeling but still keeping her inside the red bubble for the lack of oxygen, with her face filled with confusion and knocks her out.

Outside of space, the Green Lantern flew around the rocks of the previous planet and grew anxious in worry of Kilowog, his niece & the people who lived on the planet, but his niece; Oh, how much guilt and reckless he had done to deserve along with agreeing on bringing her to this dangerous situation that he had told her not to come but if he didn't let her come, none of this would have happened. However, it was her birthday and he didn't even get the chance in giving her a birthday present. Lost in deep thought, he continues his search for her & Kilowog, hoping that they survived the explosion when, all of a sudden, a red blast came out of nowhere and shot the Green Lantern from behind while he (Razer) icily held no pain to those who are already dead and showed him, "They aren't here anymore, except for this one." Lifts out an unconscious body of Cassandra out for Hal Jordan to see, her face had tear marks on both sides of her cheek, her body was almost badly bruised and her right wrist was broken. 

A sigh of relief had escaped from his mouth, then he was enraged by the sight of his niece's unconscious body in the hands of a Red Lantern. Probably the worst-case scenario in the universe: "Let her go!" The Red Lantern a.k.a Razer, however, continues glaring at him before placing her now floating body, without any protection; Which caused her to wake up with her silver eyes widening while suffering without any breathing or lack of oxygen and began to choke in space while her Uncle Hal began punching his enemy with all his strength; Cassandra, on the other hand, was losing her hope on everything that was about to give up but suddenly, a green ring came floating towards her direction and surrounded her in a giant green bubble. 

Gasped in shock and collapsed on her knees inside the green bubble, she coughs out, takes deep breaths for energy, and groans at the pain from the back of her head when she started to remember what happened earlier that she was pissed but also quite relieved about having hope can come true in many possible ways. That is until she heard someone familiar saying, "Can you!?!?" In her horror, Cassandra couldn't believe that her Uncle was going to become a murderer, her heart was pounding in fear, she immediately says: "Take me to him, please." She particularly begged to the green power ring floated, it speedingly went straight for him, to the 

"Finish it." "NO!" She steps in the way, arms wide open while defending Razer from harm, and shook her head, "This isn't you, uncle! Don't hurt him, he doesn't deserve to die! He saved me for Shyir Rev's sake so he can sacrifice his life & because of it, Kilowog was busy retreating in hopes to save but, he didn't have time. Razer was the last person to talk to him...Remember what you told me about vengeance, vengeance isn't always the answer. The Green Lanterns don't kill, they protect the universe from our enemies." Cassandra told her uncle, who stopped midway from killing Razer, which cause him to retreat his power ring away from him, and spoke, "You're right, Cass...he doesn't deserve death. *turns back to Razer* You'd like that, don't you?" Confused by this, Razer widen his eyes before he could even realize that, from out of the blue, Hal Jordan grabs him around in a holographic hand, continues glaring down at him by the core, while his niece kept quiet and watched the entire ordeal of him threatening Razer of his action for hurting her even though he saved her from dying from the explosion, he still has charges of his crimes to deal with & the planet: 

"But you're not getting off that easy. You'll live with the consequences of what you've done." "No! You must kill me! I'm the one who's responsible for all of this death & destruction. I deserve it!" He pleads in the regret ways of his actions, "Which is why you're gonna help make up for it." Finally, Hal Jordan lets go of the Red Lantern, just as he stood about to go back and to his niece, Razer felt shocked at being spared but, he never felt so enraged about having not been killed by a Green Lantern; On the other hand, Hal made sure she was safe. That is when the Red Lantern spoke, "I don't need someone to defend me. Razer continues coldly stating the words that Cassandra had spoken for him earlier and the words that Hal Jordan had cautioned: "Coward...he mutters, "Are you too weak to take on your vengeance?" That's when he had it, he hit Razer straight up to his face and seized his red ring from his own hands, leaving him unconscious without any oxygen left in his body or lungs: "Uncle Hal, what the hell? He's going to die without any oxygen." "Don't...push it! he gritted through his teeth, spins his head around with Razer floating in space and inside the bubble: "That's why I'm protecting his life, without his power ring." 

With that being said, Cassandra shuts up and fears about Razer's safety, unlike her uncle; Who, furthermore, is still pissed that he nearly lost his brother's eldest daughter, once he spotted Kilowog holding on to thousands of civilians in his bubble while saying: "You're gonna help me with this, hot shot!?" "Kilowog!" Both Jordan's said in sync, the three of them laugh and continue hearing him explaining about his situation, "I've got most of the colonists up before the big bang, but my ring is running low." "I believe I can help." Out of nowhere, the green lantern interceptor also known as Aya came flying to their aid as the colonists made their way inside, while doing so, Kilowog gets pissed to see a Red Lantern inside the bubble: "What's he doing inside that bubble?" "Never mind that, he continues, "You're a sight for sore eyes, you too Aya."

"Hey, how's Cass & Rev? Did he make it?" Kilowog sees her in a bubble of green protection but realizes that the ring is Shyir Rev's, with a look of sadness in his red eyes, he knew that the ring was protecting her from harm but didn't choose her as a new host; Confused, Cassandra shrugged and moved like the bubble and explained about the ordeal of Rev asking a favor for Razer to whom he protected her life then began battling out the living rage out of Hal Jordan's system from earlier, "Well, for one he didn't kill ya, kid. That's unusual." "What? People can change for the greater good." She smiles and gets inside the ship while writing down the ingredients for Rev's people, what ingredients you might ask? Well, a lemon drop of course!

After leaving the new planet, that's name is dedicated & called Rev, Hal Jordan, his niece Cassandra & Kilowog were back on the interceptor in their professional seats as the green lantern power ring left her by leaving somewhere else: "It didn't choose me, I guess it'll be for someone better than me." "Yeah, I still didn't quite understand how the ring can protect you without a host." "Me neither, uncle. Me neither." Cassandra starts typing down her new assignment for next week's homework, due to her IQ, she made a long essay on bravery but didn't have it as a speech because she gets easily offered to a position like back on earth but, as the saying goes, don't get your words in a twist. Aya, however, began saying, "Cooling systems are now functional, continuing repairs." As soon as Aya continues repairing the ship, they'll be fixed in no time, Kilowog enters the room and walks up to Hal Jordan, "So, what's next?" he asked, Cassandra turns around to face them and replies, "First, we find the red lanterns &second, I'm doing an essay here." 

Kilowog got bewildered by the response and blinked by grunting, "JUst how, are we gonna stop these who knows how many superpowerful Red Lanterns...with just the 3 of us?" "One, don't add Cass into this because I ain't going to let off my sight from harming herself again." Cassandra gasped in dramatic comedy person, "Hey! At least, you don't have to worry about me being a hacker & stopped you from killing Razer." He rolls his eyes at her defense and continues adding, "And two, that's a very good question, Kilowog. What shall we do with the one we captured?" Hal Jordan & Kilowog met with the prisoner, Razer who happens to be a Red Lantern without his ring, Cassandra knew he will have to face his mistakes or without any of his rage can escape his sight.
