Episode fanfic title: The Murder Party!

///////////////////////000///////////////////////

The next day...

Cassandra woke up earlier than usual and quietly left bed to care for her needs, and she noticed Razer was sleeping as she got flashes of what happened last night. To her joy, it was real. Razer was a good dancer, making Cassandra smile and blush simultaneously. Still, she was careful not to wake him when suddenly, she started violently coughing a bit of blood and quietly covered her mouth to avoid making noise or dripping a bit of blood. It was difficult for her to suppress her cough, but little did she know that Razer had heard her violent coughs. Sensing something was wrong, he did. After she was done, Cassandra went to her closet to wear lazy clothes: A long sweater with sweatpants and socks.

"Why were you coughing violently, Cassandra?" His question put her on hold from eating, and she did not look or move except turn around without making eye contact with the Red Lantern.

The subject changes when Cassandra says, "When are my uncle and Kilowog coming back anyway? She continues, eating her ramen: "They said they would be back." Once again, when Cassandra's uncle checks on Razer and her, they wonder why the green lanterns are not back yet: "The ship is primed and ready to leave. Why aren't you back here with the green lantern we tracked?" Razer asked as he sat with Cassandra, gripping her arm from going anywhere, making it impossible for her to leave: "He's gone missing." Hal said.

"I can easily find him." Razer volunteered.

"No, you can't just run around in that red lantern getup. We've got enough on our hands without you starting a panic. Hal refused before adding, "And besides, we need you here to watch over Cassandra from sneaking around." He added, "I am Not a babysitter, and my talents are wasted waiting here!" Razer argued, realizing what he had just said, which was a wrong move to say but, even after earning a glare from her. Cassandra still showed him a weak smile, saying she already knew before she continued eating her food: "Stay with Cassie and have AYA run her scan for Dulok's power ring," Hal ordered and ended the call.

+Meanwhile, at the interceptor+

Razer felt pissed, but considering the fact that he felt useless in not helping, he gritted his fangs before Aya spoke up: "Sensors have located a weak energy trail. It is possible that it is Dulok's power ring." She explains, showing the holographic image of the green lantern Dulok. "The energy trail is too distant to make that determination with total confidence." AYA added, "So you're saying we need to be closer." Razer suggested.

"It would aid me, but our orders are to remain on the ship." Aya reminds him, "I was ordered to stay and help you trace the ring, which is exactly what we'll be doing if you put yourself together and come with me and Cassandra." Razer suggests and prepares to leave with Cassandra, disregarding Hal's orders, " 'We?' " "Yes, unless you wish to stay indoors like the useless human you are." "Oi! Watch it there, mister!" Before Cassandra could continue, it was secretly amusing Razer to see a human girl like her being teased: "Only 2.1 seconds to assemble." Aya eagerly agrees and puts herself together as Cassandra leaves to change: "Don't leave without me. I'll be back in a second!" As she left, running into her room, Aya walked towards Razer: "Are my components properly aligned?" Aya asked. "You look fine," Razer said to AYA, who stared at him.

"You also look fine," Aya responds, and as soon as Cassandra comes in, she wears a brown hat, a beige coat, a short dress with blue leggings, small bear earrings, a brown purse, and long brown boots.

"Are we ready to go, my dear detectives?" With an upbeat tone and a smile, she mistakenly guides the group in their quest for Green Lantern Dulok; all the while, he becomes transfixed with Cass and inexplicably praises her weird fashion choices.

Inside the catacombs of Iolande's castle, Razer, Cassandra, and Aya were scanning around the place to investigate; while doing so, no Betrassus soldiers had caught them. Yet. A loud pop echoed while tracking down the Dulok's power ring as the red lantern and the AI got ready to fight with their weapons. Only to realize that Cassandra was eating; not just that, she'd been chewing bubble gum out of nervousness as it made a popping sound again. She turns around and sees them pointing at her, "What?" "Are you seriously eating right now?" Razer hissed angrily, grabbing her arm: "It's just gum; it calms my nerves."

"Well, spit it out that 'gum' of yours. We're on a mission." He states once he turned away from her, Cassandra made mocking faces behind his back, making Aya curious about what she was doing, only for her to explain a bit about what a piece of chewing gum was until Razer stopped them before pushing them inside a hole, his chest pressed against something soft that he had realized who he was on top of until he turns to meet some familiar silver eyes: It was Cassandra. Razer's eyes widened as he realized he was on top of Cassandra. The proximity and the softness of her form beneath him made his heart race. He quickly pushed himself up and off her, a flush creeping up his cheeks.

On the other hand, Cassandra seemed shocked while in a blushing mess but unfazed by the accidental collision. Smiled up at him, her silver eyes twinkling with amusement: "W-Well, that was quite the landing, Razer. She starts to tease him, "Are you sure you weren't trying to steal a kiss in the middle of our mission?" she said, winking at Razer in the process; Razer's face grew even redder than his red lantern suit that he sputtered incoherently for a moment before regaining his composure: "I-I didn't mean to, Cassandra. It was an accident."

Aya, who had been watching the exchange with curiosity, couldn't help but chime in, "Accident or not, it certainly looked as you both call it 'cozy down there.' " She whispered so quietly for only Razer, who sighed in exasperation while Cassandra tried her best not to snicker or smile in laughter but only caused her to grin like an idiot: "Can we focus on the mission, please?" Cassandra chuckled and stood up, brushing off her clothes. "Of course, Razer. No more distractions from me, I promise." Once the guards were out of sight, the trio got off the ground when Aya said:

"In future references, I will not be pushed into the dirt." Aya's comment made Cassandra snort out the embarrassing moment; as they continued searching for the Dulok's power ring in the catacombs, Razer couldn't help but steal a few glances at Cassandra, his mind wandering to the unexpected moment they had just shared. While continuing their journey inside the catacombs, Cassandra uses her phone to take pictures of the skulls shown on different shelves: "So wicked." She muttered under her breath before continuing to take photos of the place while Razer raised an eyebrow at her weirdness but shrugged it off since he believed it was a human thing. Until she wanted to do a selfie with Aya but was hesitant. So, Cassandra ignored it.

"My sensors indicate that the energy signal is getting stronger, but it seems our search is over," Aya spoke emotionlessly as they came to a wall with no apparent way forward. Razer touched the wall and said: "Not quite." Razer then breaks the wall with his red lantern ring as Cassandra whistles, "Damn, Razer."

"What?"

"Remind me not to get on your bad side." She said.

"Are you not already on my bad side for these past few weeks." Razer replied and walked away with Aya, leaving Cassandra astounded and shocked; she was about to say something but realized that he had a point: "Good point." As soon as the trio entered, there was a sarcophagus/coffin where they found Dulok's dead body. Cassandra touches his neck for a pulse: "He doesn't have a pulse."

She sadly said, worried about how the Queen of Betrassus would react horribly to hear that Dulok is dead: "And there doesn't seem to be any signs indicating a struggle." Aya indicates while scanning the body, as Cassandra bit her lip before using her magnifying glass by inching closer to the body only to be pulled by Razer, earning him a pout, "So... he didn't go down fighting?" Cassandra added while Razer noticed that something was missing. "Odd, his ring is gone. Razer looked inside and inquired. "Has it gone back to OA?"

She answered. "If it did, we would been notified by the interceptor." "And the signal is still near here," Aya said as Razer stood up: "We need to notify the others." They all agreed and quickly called the Green Lanterns.

Time skip, In the Betrassus's Arena Colosseum...

"Great job obeying orders. Do I need to write them down from now on?" Hal comments, a bit like a father figure towards the teenagers: "A warrior acts." Razer defended himself.

"A warrior listens to his superiors." Kilowog sternly spoke.

"But a warrior also has his or her reasons to do so than stay indoors in boredom," Cassandra crosses her arms and argues.

"Enough. I'll give them the insubordination lecture later. Hal then realizes that Cassandra is dressed like a London detective and raises an eyebrow: "Cassie, um... why are you dressed as a detective?" He asked, making his niece grin and reply, "Because I wanted to look the part of Detective Sherlock Holmes and also got pictures of Dulok's unmoved body on my phone for proof." Hal Jordan facepalm, but there was no time to argue with her or scold them later, so he sighed, "Never mind, anyways, what did you three find?" He asked.

"We're still trying to locate his power ring," Razer said until Kilowog spoke. "If it hasn't chosen it's bearer already."

"My sensor indicates that the ring is within these walls," Aya announced.

"My gut instincts tell me so is the killer," Hal said.

"Then we must find this murderer and bring him to justice. It is what green lanterns do." Aya suggested, "We will, but we must do it carefully. We'll need proof." Hal told, to which Kilowog nodded.

"We found his body in the catacombs; I already took photos of him as living proof on my phone...but to what I can guess from his peaceful dead body is that he was poisoned." His niece reveals, making the Green Lanterns, Aya, and Razer stare at her in disbelief, "Gotta be joking...right?" Kilowog whispered.

"Why would I lie about someone being poisoned, Kilowog? Cassandra says, "If you all must know, I happened to smell weird poison as I got close to Dulok's body, which Razer stopped me from getting closer to find more clues." "He had every right to stop you from falling in there." Razer glared; Cassandra glared back as her uncle Hal sighed, "Even so, uncle, this is not just a missing person now that we all concluded. It's a Murder party. And we need to stop him before it's too late."

"How can you tell that it's a 'him'?" Razer questions her, "In my experience with watching and meeting the murderers, Cassandra explains: "Most killers were male and that women could be just as good if not better, villains and heroes than men." "I am now curious about the meaning behind it, Cassandra." Aya said, "You three go back to the ship. We'll call if we need backup, but we might have to exit quickly." Razer, Cassandra, and AYA agreed; as they walked away, Razer nodded in understanding while Aya and Cassandra began discussing her words from a minute ago.

At night...

Cassandra comes out from the shared room after refreshing herself up and joining her uncle and Kilowog since she cannot miss out on the vital plan as today is the day of the battle between Uncle Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern, and Kothak entering the Arena Colosseum of Betrassus. At the same time, Cassandra and Kilowog watch from the balcony. The other reason is that she doesn't want to miss anything or act like a blonde bully did to the other boys back on Earth, who ignore them while the cheering began when Hal came out in the blue armor on his alien machine:

"GO HAL!! KICK HIS SERIOUS A**!!" Cassandra shouts and cheers for her uncle as he smiles and waves at his niece as Ragnar gives Kilowog another drink. "And here, another flagon of ale you so enjoyed before." He held a cup to Kilowog. "Hey, you remember the slime!" Kilowog said in a cheerful tone. Then Ragnar took a seat next to Cassandra: "Cassandra, I thought you'd miss it!" He told her in excitement while she couldn't help but feel as if she couldn't trust him near her but played along by proving herself that she could act better than he did. Already guessing that he was the culprit: "How can I miss such an awesome challenge, Ragnar? Plus, I'm ready for the big surprise tonight!" She exclaimed, making as Kothak spoke in the arena. "Iolande. Prepare to wed as soon as I defeat this peasant."

Cassandra pretends to throw up, which makes Kilowog and Ragnar snicker at her reaction towards Kothak, but stops when it is her uncle's turn to speak: "Queen Iolande. I fight so your people may have the capable, honest ruler they deserve." 'Oh, since when did my uncle vow like that?~' Cassandra mentally smirks as Iolande gives him a warm smile. After vowing, the two men began to joust with skimmers. Hal knocks Kothak off of his mount first, but the warrior uses a spear to destroy Hal's skimmer.

"HEY THAT'S CHEATING!!!" "Keep your head up, Jordan!" Kilowog called him as he poured another tankard of ale into his mouth; he then started choking. "Kilowog!" Cassandra panics and rushes to his side as he collapses himself dead on the floor. Iolande yells and runs to his side as well while checking the cup, and inside, she sees some liquid: "Poison! He's been murdered!!" She realizes as Hal leaves the arena. "Kilowog! Speak to me, buddy. Please!" Hal pleaded, but Iolande sadly revealed the news. "Hal, he's gone." She started to cry quietly, and her tears started falling from her eyes. Ragnar saw an upset look on her face as his heart began to ache. He can't bear looking at her upset like that.

Ragnar saw an upset look on her face as his heart began to ache. He can't bear looking at her upset like that. He wanted to comfort her, but the moment was ruined thanks to Kothak:

"The death of the outsider is inconsequential. I demand my challenger return to the field so I may defeat him and become the rightful king of Betrassus." Kothak said from his air scooter.

"Look! The ring." Ragnar pointed as everyone saw Kilowog's first move fly to Iolande, then Kothak, until it finally settled itself on Ragnar's finger.

"Finally, it's mine. The power I dreamed of." He said.

"Again, I protest this delay." Kothak said to Ragnar.

"Your silly contest no longer matters, Kothak. What matters is that I'm a green lantern—the most powerful citizen in Betrasus. I shall be you knew ruler. Bow down and gravel to me, YOUR KING!" Ragnar said in an evil voice.

"You did this. You murdered our friend." Hal said to Ragnar.

"You're a real piece of shit!!" Cassandra yelled at Ragnar with anger in her eyes while already.

"I had to, Cassandra. For our future together, can't you see I want you as my bride?" he told her, making her look at him in disgust by slapping his hand away from him: "A bride? Dude, I'm not going to be with you! Cassandra yells, "I already have someone I love who is worthy of my heart, so don't even THINK of asking for a hand in marriage!" Enraged, Ragnar pulls her towards him only to slap her in the cheek, to the point where Hal glares in anger while the Prince points at the lanterns: "Don't you dare slap my niece, you prick!" "You (Hal) told me that when a lantern dies, his ring searches for the next worthy person. Knowing myself to be the most worthy, I killed Dulok so that his ring might come to me." All of a sudden, the entire crowd of Betrassus began booing at Prince Ragnar.

"DON'T JUDGE ME!! I knew Dulok more than any of you. He shouts, "That's why I killed him. to honor him by being his successor!"

"And Kilowog, why him?" Hal asked in an angry tone.

"Dulok's ring didn't come to me, so I had to try again. I HAD TO!" he answered.

On the other hand, Cassandra glared at Ragnar with fire in her silver eyes as he looked at her, then turned back in a fierce look when he looked at her uncle: "You don't have a choice, none of you!!" Ragnar prepares to blast them, only to watch in shock as the power ring disappears, and while he is distracted, he notices his ring is gone: "My ring, where is it? I want my ring!"

The prince got to his knees and began searching on the ground. "I still have it." Ragnar was shocked to see Kilowog standing up, making Cassandra cheer in triumph at her uncle's best friend waking up from NOT drinking the poison: "The ring you thought chose you was a construct I made while playing dead," Kilowog explained. Hal walked up next to him. "Bravo, Kilowog, excellent performance. You too, Cassie!"

Cassandra bowed dramatically, "Thank you, and Thank you!~ Man, I should win thanks to the drama club I created at the CodeLight club for putting in effort!" Her uncle shakes his head while smiling and asks: "But are you ok?" "I'm good, uncle. She says, "The slap in the face wasn't painful." Before Hal could say anything, Kilowog interrupted him by getting off the ground and dusting his green lantern suit: "I thought maybe slobbering the globe was a bit much, but I sure as heck wasn't gonna drink any."

Kilowog stares at Ragnar, one of his dirty and brutal looks, while Iolande comes up to her brother: "Oh Ragnar, I'm heartbroken," Iolande says with disappointment in her voice. "This is my planet. I was born to lead!" A desperate Ragnar then grabs Iolande and uses her as a hostage to make his escape while he bribes his soldiers to attack the green lanterns and Cassandra.

All of a sudden,  and tie them up in 5 seconds. "Kilowog, my ring!" Hal calls out as he holds off the guards, as Cassandra goes after the tortious prince, who's driving away with Iolande. "They're getting away!" Kothak shouted: "No, they're not." Hal said once Kilowog tossed Hal's ring and transformed it into green lanterns just in time. The green lanterns were able to catch up and fly after Ragnar, who managed to evade Kothak.

The prince heads for the gate, but Cassandra throws a jug at his head, making him turn around in anger and hisses in pain: "Give it up, Ragnar. You're finished!" Cassandra called out, but Ragnar wouldn't listen before grabbing Iolande (his sister) again. "Stay back. Let me go, or else I'll kill her!" He threatens and forces them to land a few feet away to help her. At that moment, Hal spoke out loud. "Iolande, put the ring on now!" She quickly removes it from her brooch and then puts it on. The green energy consumes her and blasts Ragnar to the ground. The others were surprised by her transformation: "OMG!!!! YA GO QUEEN! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!?!"

She saw Ragnar trying to stab her, but before he could do so, Iolande saw her brother and easily hit him with her new power. "Please! I beg for a quarter." He said in a scared tone: "Not so brave now, are you?" Hal smirked; Kilowog made green handcuffs for Ragnar and carried him to the arena. Cassandra slapped him on the cheek, causing the lanterns to wince, not wanting to put on her wrong side. "That was for murdering Green Lantern Dulok." Cassandra punches him square in the face, hard: "And for hurting your sister."

The next day...

After it was over, Cassandra had just cooked some breakfast. For Razer, since he had not woken up yet, she sneaks out by leaving a note from him to let him know that she went to wait and get her uncle to return only a couple of minutes later of waiting. Cassandra sees Uncle Hal humming a song:

"I know that humming from anywhere, and based on what happened with the new Queen of Betrassus, you got kissed, didn't you?" She wiggled her eyebrows with a teasing smirk as Hal chuckled: "Heh, what can I say? Her uncle says, "I'm good with the ladies."

While walking back to the ship together, Hal asked: "So~, may I know what you mean?"

"What do you mean?"

"Last night, you were angry at Ragnar's betrayal and his offer of becoming his bride." Hal starts to smirk at his niece's flushed face of humiliation that her uncle heard it, and he pretends to use her voice: " And you quote by saying: 'I already have someone I love who is worthy of my heart, so don't even THINK of asking for a hand in marriage!' "

Cassandra now feels embarrassed and ashamed for her uncle to hear it all: "I-I-I-I-I! L-Look, it's none of your business! Damn it!" She stammers with her face turning even redder than Razer's red lantern suit, while her uncle continues to tease his niece about who her crush is: "C'mon tell me, Cassie. Hal nudges her, "Who's the lucky guy on earth?" "...H-he's... h-he's not from e-earth, uncle..."

"Oh!... Hal smirks wider before smiling, "It's Razer, right?" Cassandra blushed even more at her uncle's accurate guess. She couldn't believe he had figured it out so easily. "Yeah," she admitted reluctantly, "it's Razer."

Hal couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, well, my niece has a thing for a Red Lantern, huh? That's certainly interesting."

Cassandra felt a mixture of embarrassment and relief that she had finally confessed her feelings to her uncle. "Yeah, I do. But don't make a big deal out of it, okay?"

Hal grinned mischievously. "Oh, don't worry, Cassie. Your secret is safe with me... for now." He winked at her playfully as they continued walking back to the ship.

Cassandra sighed but couldn't help but smile at her uncle's teasing. She was glad to have someone like Hal in her life, who could always lighten the mood, even in the most challenging of situations.
