It had been a couple of days since the ceremony and in all, Crystalpaw and Owlpaw were great apprentices, they never talked back or never disobeyed. Maybe they can teach Furypaw some things if he's ever even becoming a warrior! Dappledpaw thought while putting some catmint into storage "Hey Waterstep? Should I go and get more Goldenrod?" Dappledpaw asked looking at the small supply of Goldenrod "Huh? Oh. Yes, but take another apprentice with you." Waterstep informed her. Dappledpaw nodded and bounded off.

Owlpaw, Crystalpaw, and Adderstrike just got back from hunting and seemed to be ready to sleep after they fed the queens since there were no elders they only had to feed the queens. looks like all my friends are tired, hmm... Furypaw! She thought searching camp for him, she found him talking with Nightpaw. A six moon old apprentice who was just leaving the nursery when Crystalpaw and Owlpaw were born. "Hey Furypaw?" Dappledpaw said padding over "Hi Dappledpaw." Furypaw said happily "Hello." Nightpaw mewed waving with her tail "Furypaw, you need to come to get some Goldenrod with me, just for protection." Dappledpaw said to her brother trying not to make it sound like he was a medicine cat apprentice as well "Oh, alright. Bye Nightpaw, see you at your ceremony!" He yowled as they walked out of camp.

As they were walking they heard a small shuffle, as if someone was watching them "Furypaw... Did you?" Furypaw put his tail in her mouth and looked into the tall grass "Rouge!" He hissed, his fur bristling with anger "Wait, look, he's as old as an elder. He can't do anything, and his wounds are going to be infected soon if we don't help him."  Dappledpaw insisted "But he's on our territory!" Furypaw hissed as the moor wind blew silently but surely. "He must come from the barn, most rouges use to live there." Dappledpaw mewed setting down the small amount of Goldenrod they had found. "Pardon me?" She mewed putting her paw on his shoulder "Are you alright?" The tom began to shiver then his eyes slowly opened. In a soft voice Dappledpaw mewed "Are you okay? Do you feel good enough to walk?" The red tom coughed "I knew it, with Leaf-bare coming, he must have a slight cold." Dappledpaw sighed and said to him "What's your name?" The tom had an old scratchy voice, but it was filled with kindness "I'm Fox, and you two are...?" Dappledpaw smiled at the fact that Fox was alright to at least talk "My name is Dappledpaw, this is my brother, Furypaw." Fox tried to get up but his wobbly legs made him fall once again "Here, Let us help," Fox leaned against Dappledpaw and Furypaw and they went the direction of camp. Slowly, but surely.

Cats gasped as Dappledpaw and Furypaw brought Fox into camp. "Dappledpaw? Furypaw? Who is this tom?" Spiritstar asked, Aspenlight, the deputy was right next to him with Waterstep close behind on Spiritstar's other side "Well... We found this rouge in the tall grass where usually we find rabbits, but he was cold and sick, so, we thought we could maybe, I dunno let him become an elder?" Spiritstar nodded "Your heart and mind were both in the right place, and although most may not agree with you Dappledpaw, I do. So, from now on, this rouge," he stopped and waited for a name "His name is Fox." Dappledpaw said almost giving out from all of Fox's weight "I would like it to stay as Fox, my Father was named that." Fox said calmly. "Alright. Then from this day forward, Fox, is the newest member of Bloomclan!" Cats looked at Fox then back at Spiritstar, "Come on Fox, I'll show you the elders den." Dappledpaw mewed padding over to the elders den with Fox "I'll check on your wounds now." She mewed almost passing out from everything that had happened "No, look, go get some rest, check on me in the morning." Fox shooed her off with his paw and tail. "Alright, thank you Fox." Dappledpaw mewed before padding over to the medicine cat den and passing out in her nest.
