The dense mist swirling around us triggers memories of the thick fog at the Slumbering Weald. We struggle to navigate through it until a figure emerges, breaking through the haze. As the silhouette materializes, we recognize her—Grenomy Town's Gym Leader, Luna.

"I believe I've seen you before... aren't you Luna? The Gym Leader of Grenomy?" Gloria inquires, trying to place the familiar face.

Luna nods with a serene smile. "Yes, that's correct. And you're Ash Ketchum, aren't you?" Luna replies, acknowledging my presence.

I take the opportunity to inquire, "So Luna, um... do you happen to know the way to Grenomy Town?" The question lingers, hopeful for guidance through the thick mist obstructing our path.

"Follow me," Luna directs, leading us through the thick mist. As we trail behind her, Luna reveals the purpose behind the mist's creation—shielding the townspeople from potential encounters with Ghost-type Pokémon that typically inhabit the nearby Watchtower Ruins. "Drifloon, Duskull, Gastly usually live there, and who knows what they might do if they catch their prey," Luna explains, emphasizing the need for caution.

"I guess that's fair enough," I acknowledge, understanding the need for precautionary measures in protecting the townsfolk from potential dangers.

Upon reaching Grenomy Town, the sight that greets us is nothing short of spectacular. The buildings adorned with neon lights cast an ethereal glow, while star-shaped patterns embellishing some of the roads create an ambiance reminiscent of a galaxy.

"Wow... this is amazing," Alice exclaims in awe at the town's vibrant and otherworldly atmosphere.

"I'm glad you like it. You see, this place is surrounded by fog generated by Psychic-type Pokémon, acting as a barrier to prevent Ghost-type Pokémon from attacking the town," Luna explains further. "And Grenomy Town is renowned for its astronomic fields," she adds, highlighting the town's unique association with celestial wonders.

"Seems like that's the Gym Stadium," Flora observes, pointing out the colossal structure adorned with a prominent logo. Luna, acknowledging our observation, adds, "But I heard that both of you already got Nessa's Gym Badge, so what brings you here?"

"I'm here because there's a Contest happening, you know? The Pokémon Contests?" I explain, highlighting our purpose for being in Grenomy Town.

"Oh, I'm familiar with those. So you're here to participate. Well, best of luck to you," Luna responds, offering her encouragement for the contest.

"By the way, there are some things that I need to take care of first, so I'll just give each of you my League Card for now," Luna announces, distributing League Cards to us. Upon inspecting the card, we notice that it bears the number 628, marking it as hers.

Luna, an esteemed astronomer, hails from a lineage deeply entrenched in the enigmatic world of Psychic-type Pokémon. Her familial roots intertwined with psychic abilities laid the foundation for her profound understanding of the celestial and the mind. Luna's contributions to the fields of astronomy and psychic studies are notable, reflecting her dedication to both scientific inquiry and the development of psychic abilities. Her Gym challenges embody the synthesis of these passions, guiding trainers toward cosmic enlightenment.

As we step into the bustling Contest Hall, a familiar voice calling my name catches my attention. "Ash! Is that you?"

Turning around, I'm greeted by none other than Dawn—her familiar face lighting up my surprise. "Dawn! Long time no see!" I exclaim, a smile spreading across my face.

We exchange a high-five in a gesture of camaraderie. "Still trying to do Contests, Ash?" Dawn asks with a playful tone.

"Yeah," I reply. "I'm aiming for my second ribbon. And you?"

"Working on my second one too," Dawn responds, turning her attention to Alice. "It's nice to see you again, Alice."

"Hi, Dawn," Alice greets warmly, acknowledging the familiar face from past encounters.

"Wait, is this Meowth...?" Dawn inquires, her curiosity piqued as she observes the Pokémon in front of her.

"Yeah, he's our partner now," I affirm. "He's grown stronger, and now he can even Gigantamax."

"I'm not the old Meowth that you used to know now," Meowth declares proudly.

Then we bid others farewell as we head to the resting room to change clothes, and we watch the announcement begin. Dawn enters the stage gracefully alongside her Lopunny, radiating elegance. Lopunny begins the appeal with a series of elegant leaps and spins, showcasing its grace and agility. As it twirls, Lopunny's fur takes on a shimmering hue, thanks to its special move, Dazzling Gleam. The stage lights reflect off Lopunny's fur, creating a mesmerizing display of sparkling colors that dance around the stage, captivating the audience.

"Dawn and Lopunny's performance was truly enchanting! The combination of Lopunny's graceful movements and the radiant display of Dazzling Gleam created a breathtaking spectacle. A beautiful and captivating appeal that showcased Lopunny's elegance and poise!"

Then it is my turn, I decide to showcase Meowth. With a suave gesture, Meowth begins the performance by using its swift movements to create an intricate pattern of coins in the air, dazzling the audience with its agility and precision. As the coins gracefully twirl, Meowth adds a touch of showmanship by using its signature move, Pay Day, sending a cascade of golden coins sparkling across the stage.

"Ash and Meowth's routine was captivating! The synchronization between the trainer and Pokémon was impressive, and the use of Pay Day added a spectacular touch. A well-coordinated and visually stunning appeal!"

"Nice work out there, Ash. You really are a Contest Master," Dawn compliments with a warm smile.

"Thanks, Dawn. Your Lopunny put on quite a show too," I reply, acknowledging her Pokémon's impressive performance.

As we both advance to the battle round, a shared determination sparks between us. "Let's work hard so we can face each other in the finals," Dawn suggests, expressing our mutual desire for an ultimate showdown in the competition.

In the finals, I step onto the stage, feeling the excitement and tension in the air as I command my Corvisquire in the Contest battle against Dawn and her Rapidash. My heart races with anticipation, knowing that this battle will test both my skills and Corvisquire's abilities. I meet Dawn's determined gaze, acknowledging the challenge ahead.

"Corvisquire, let's start strong! Feather Dance followed by a powerful Steel Wing!" I call out confidently. Corvisquire takes flight gracefully, executing Feather Dance with precision. The feathers swirl around, creating a mesmerizing spectacle before transitioning seamlessly into a dynamic Steel Wing attack aimed at Rapidash.

Dawn remains composed as she directs Rapidash. "Show them your agility! Dodge and counter with Flame Charge!" she commands calmly. Rapidash evades Corvisquire's Steel Wing with remarkable grace. In response, it charges forward with an intense Flame Charge, ready for a fiery collision.

I keep my focus, strategizing our next moves. "Corvisquire, Aerial Ace! Follow up with Brave Bird!" I instruct, my determination unwavering. Corvisquire darts through the air with incredible speed, executing a dazzling Aerial Ace. It then gathers energy, poised for the powerful Brave Bird attack.

Dawn remains composed, devising her counter-strategy. "Rapidash, use Agility, and counter its Brave Bird with Flare Blitz!" she commands confidently. Rapidash's speed surges with Agility, enhancing its agility even further. Sensing Corvisquire's impending Brave Bird, Rapidash retaliates with a blazing Flare Blitz, meeting the incoming attack head-on in a fiery clash.

The intense battle between Corvisquire and Rapidash unfolds before me, showcasing our respective strategies and our Pokémon's strengths. It's a test of skill and determination, and I can feel the adrenaline pumping as we give our all in this contest of strength and agility. As the dust settles, the time is up and reveals me as the victor.

"Good work, Corvisquire," I commend my Pokémon as it gracefully lands on my hand. Dawn sighs, acknowledging the outcome, "Well, there goes my luck. But congratulations on your second ribbon," she says with a hint of disappointment.

After the exhilarating award ceremony and securing my second ribbon, we step outside to join the other girls. Flora inquires, "So what's your plan next?"

"I'm headed to find the next town and earn my second ribbon. I need to catch up to Ash if I want to stay in the running," Dawn responds determinedly, expressing her resolve to keep pace with the ongoing competition.

We bid farewell to Dawn as she sets off on her journey, her determination shining through. With Dawn's departure, it's our turn to focus on the next chapter of our adventure - heading to witness Hop's Gym Challenge.

After exchanging greetings with Hop, he beams with excitement. "You've got two badges already? Now that's my rivals. I'm going to get my second one right here, right now," he declares enthusiastically, determination gleaming in his eyes.

"Good luck, Hop," I encourage him, acknowledging his determination to earn his second badge.

While Hop heads towards the staff to begin his Gym Challenge, we decide to visit the souvenir shop. Inside, we discover a replica badge and a unique uniform for sale. This time, the uniform is a vibrant shade of purple, adorned with a striking design. The shirt features a prominent red, blue, and yellow swirl, while waves in the same colors embellish the sleeves, shorts, and even the socks. The Psychic Logo stands out prominently on the shirt, adding to its captivating appeal.

As we settle into our seats in the audience area, our attention is drawn to the unique setup of the Grenomy Gym. A massive screen on the ground catches our eye, alongside several towering platforms that seem to stretch skyward. As Hop enters the Gym, Dan, the Gym Guide, steps forward to explain the Gym Mission.

"Allow me to explain the Gym Mission for this Grenomy Gym," Dan begins. "To complete the mission, you must enter the Teleportation Panels. The battlefield is located atop the Satellite, serving as the final destination. There are a total of 12 floors, each at varying heights, leading to the field. Additionally, Gym Trainers await challengers on specific floors."

Dan continues, "To determine your next destination, you'll need to roll a dice. Since this is the first floor, you won't need the dice yet. However, when you roll the dice, the number of rolls will be your guide. If the number is odd, you'll proceed downwards; if it's even, you'll ascend upwards."

As Hop rolls the dice, it lands on 5, prompting him to step confidently into the Teleportation Panel. In an instant, the panel transports him to a staggering height of 15,000 meters, leaving the audience astonished by the sudden elevation.

"How is that even possible?" Gloria voices her surprise, her incredulity evident.

"I suppose it's the power of Psychic Type Pokémon at work," I suggest, trying to make sense of the extraordinary feat. "It explains why the battlefield seems invisible from down here... it must be in space."

As the Gym challenge progresses, I take my turn and roll the dice, managing a 4. However, fate dictates that I must then descend 5 floors. Yet, with persistence and more rolls, I eventually spot Dan at the height of 33,000 meters.

"Goal, Gym Mission Cleared," Dan declares proudly, acknowledging our efforts. "You did a remarkable job scaling these heights."

As Hop materializes inside the Satellite, he's greeted by Luna, the Gym Leader. Luna welcomes him with a serene demeanor, drawing attention to the dome's protective glass that offers a stunning view of the stars above.

"Welcome, Challenger. Can you see outside this dome? The stars are shining upon us," Luna remarks, her voice carrying a sense of awe.

"You're right," Hop responds, marveling at the breathtaking sight. "It sure is amazing in person."

"But will the stars shine on me? Or will they shine on you? We shall find out after this battle," Luna says with a hint of determination, signaling the beginning of their showdown.

With determination in their eyes, Hop and Luna kick off their 3-on-3 match, each sending out their first Pokémon. Luna initiates the battle with Gothita, while Hop calls upon Corvisquire to take the field.

"Corvisquire, let's go! Power Trip followed by Pluck!" Hop commands, starting strong. Corvisquire executes its moves swiftly, but Gothita anticipates the attacks and utilizes Future Sight to evade incoming moves, rendering it impervious to attacks.

"Hang in there, Corvisquire!" Hop encourages his Pokémon, but the relentless onslaught from Gothita's Shadow Ball proves to be too much. Corvisquire valiantly fights but ultimately succumbs to the powerful attack.

"Great effort, Corvisquire! Rest up," Hop consoles his Pokémon, recalling Corvisquire back into its Poké Ball. Determined to turn the tide, Hop selects Wooloo as his next contender.

"Wooloo, let's show them what you've got! Body Slam to paralyze Gothita, then Headbutt!" Hop strategizes, seizing the opportunity. Wooloo charges forward, executing a precise Body Slam that leaves Gothita paralyzed. Then, with a forceful Headbutt, Wooloo manages to defeat Gothita, evening the score.

"Way to go, Wooloo! Keep up the momentum," Hop encourages his Pokémon, pleased with the successful turn of events in the heated battle against Luna's Gothita.

As Luna calls upon Elgyem as her next Pokémon, Hop takes the lead, commanding Wooloo to begin the assault with Electro Ball.

"Elgyem, Teleport and Zen Headbutt!" Luna commands, formulating a strategy to counter Wooloo's attacks. However, Hop swiftly reacts, countering with his own strategy. "Don't let it use Teleport! Swagger!" Hop commands, aiming to disrupt Elgyem's concentration.

As Wooloo initiates Swagger, Luna gasps in surprise. The Confusion effect takes hold, causing Elgyem to become disoriented and unable to execute its Teleport move as intended. Seizing the opportunity, Wooloo charges ahead with a Headbutt attack, dealing substantial damage to Elgyem.

"If that's the case... we should take Wooloo down as well with Destiny Bond," Luna announces, her determination unwavering despite the dire situation. Both Pokémon, Wooloo and Elgyem, fight fiercely, each delivering blows. However, the powerful effect of Destiny Bond ultimately takes its toll, causing both Pokémon to collapse simultaneously, leaving a tense silence in the battlefield.

"As the stars align for the final act, let our psychic energies converge. Witness the culmination of our celestial synergy!" Luna declares, releasing her last Pokémon, Orbeetle, onto the battlefield.

"So that's the evolved form of Dottler," I express in surprise, observing Orbeetle's majestic appearance. Hop chooses Drizzile as his final Pokémon, preparing for the climactic battle ahead.

"Elevating beyond the terrestrial plane! Orbeetle, resonate with cosmic power! Unveil the grandeur of our shared cosmos!" Luna's voice echoes as she Gigantamaxes her Orbeetle, transforming it into a colossal UFO-like entity, stunning us with its immense size.

"Drizzile! Let's Dynamax!" Hop commands, as Drizzile undergoes Dynamax transformation, filling the battlefield with an awe-inspiring presence as it becomes a colossal force in the cosmic arena.

"Manifesting the force of cosmic gravity! Orbeetle, unleash G-Max Gravitas! Let the celestial force bend reality to our will!" Luna directs the attack, invoking G-Max Gravitas. Helen queries about the move's effects.

"It summons a Gravity, preventing Flying types from dodging Ground moves," Elena explains, sharing insight into the technique.

Responding swiftly, Hop orders Drizzile to counter with G-Max Geyser, summoning a torrential rainstorm, followed by Max Darkness. The combined assault proves formidable, and Orbeetle succumbs to the powerful combination of moves, securing Hop's victory in the intense Dynamax battle amidst the cosmic heights.

"A convergence of destinies, where stars falter momentarily. Your victory eclipses my cosmic alignment. Embrace the triumph, for even stars must yield," Luna acknowledges gracefully, recalling her Orbeetle with a sense of admiration for the thrilling battle that took place in the cosmic arena.

"This battle is truly memorable, traversing space and manifesting our Dynamax powers. But now that you've experienced this, it's time for me to bestow upon you the Psychic Badge," Luna continues, extending the badge to Hop as a symbol of his triumph in the Gym Battle.

With a firm handshake, the exchange between Hop and Luna solidifies the camaraderie between Trainer and Gym Leader. "You and your Pokémon really are something," Luna compliments Hop. "If you wish to descend, just approach the panel over there, and it will transport you back to the entrance. Good luck with the rest of your Gym Challenge," she adds, bidding him farewell with well wishes for his future endeavors.

After Hop returns and gathers us together, he begins, "All right, mates! You've bagged both the Grass Badge and the Water Badge, haven't you? In that case, it's time we set our sights on Motostoke and challenge the Fire Gym Leader, Kabu!"

Alice interjects, expressing her desire, "I actually want to take on the Electric Gym Leaders instead."

"You're more than welcome to choose," I reassure her, acknowledging her preference.

Hop then chimes in, "How about I give you a little inside scoop about Kabu? Word is, he's currently training at Galar Mine No. 2, undergoing some intense sessions! If that's the case, challenging him in Motostoke would be a no-go, even if we rush there. It would stall our Gym Challenge. So, I propose we head straight to Galar Mine No. 2 ourselves! Let's find out what all the hype's about!"

With our decision made, we embark on our journey toward Galar Mine No. 2. However, before reaching there, we need to make a stop at the Wild Area, where we'll continue our adventure and further prepare ourselves for the challenges that await in the fiery depths of the mine and the encounter with Kabu, the Fire-type Gym Leader.

Here is a new chapter, and Dawn is the rival in the Contests of this Galar Arc. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be Galar Mine No.2
