Returning to the Wild Area, we choose to assist Gloria by undertaking various Flying-type Pokémon-related tasks and jobs.

1. Bob's Your Uncle: Food is best eaten hot! We'd like to see some Flying-type Pokémon to help fly our meals directly to our customers. (3 Pokemon)

2. Pelipper Couriers: Swift and graceful deliveries! We'd like to have Flying-type Pokémon like Pelipper come help us out! (6 Pokemon)

3. MCA Cargo: On and on, over the horizon... We hope that Pokémon that have fallen in love with the sky will come fly with us. (7 Pokemon)

4. Grow Sures: Food needs to be delivered fresh! We need help from Pokémon that are at home in the sky! (8 Pokemon)

5. Macro Cosmos Air: We need some help doing maintenance, so if we could get Pokémon that are good with high places, that would be great. (9 Pokemon)

6. Turffield Orchards: We are looking to water our plants from the sky. Flying-type Pokémon, please feel free to apply! (10 Pokemon)

7. HIJKI OKA: We're hoping to create fabric that can be used in space! Please send Flying-type Pokémon! (30 Pokemon)

"Clearly, they all serve a purpose in the sky; that's the domain of Flying Types," remarks Alice.

"And we've got some new things to eat," Helen says, pulling out a few potatoes.

"Potatoes?" I inquire.

"This simple yet delicious curry is brimming with soft, flaky potato pieces, and I'm determined to make it the best," Helen declares.

"Great, more carbs for this one," I jest as she finishes preparing it.

Gloria chimes in, "A dish where you can truly savor the potatoes. The spiciness is endless, and potato lovers won't stop reaching for more."

Flora adds, "Take a bite of these potatoes, generously coated in the dry curry roux. You'll experience a deliciousness beyond words."

Alice remarks, "The straightforward deliciousness of the potatoes perfectly complements the sweet seasoning of the curry roux in this wonderful dish."

"I find the bitter seasoning of the curry roux and the simple sweetness of potatoes to be a truly superior combination," I add.

Elena interjects, "The potatoes are deliberately left unseasoned. Enjoy blending them with the acidic seasoning of the curry roux. It's a bit unusual, I admit."

"Well, I suppose this one's also a success," Helen comments.

Arriving at Glaglider, we immediately notice the windy conditions that make the atmosphere quite pleasant. However, what truly surprises us is the Corviknight Taxi station, where the Corviknights are fed and given rest. Intrigued by this sight, we decide to take a detour and inspect the League Card of Glen, the gym leader of this city, before making our way to the stadium.

Glen, the innovative owner of the Galar Flying Taxi service, doubles as the Flying-type Gym Leader. His passion for aerial travel and his mastery of Flying-type Pokémon seamlessly blend in his dual roles, fostering a deeper connection between the skies and the Gym challenges. Glen's ingenuity introduced the Galar region to the convenience of aerial travel through his Flying Taxi service. His commitment to safe and swift transportation has made him a pivotal figure in Galar's aviation industry.

Eager to challenge Glen at the stadium, we make our way there, only to have the staff request Alice to change her outfit, as per the usual protocol. This time, the Flying Uniform consists of a sky-patterned shirt paired with regular shorts. Additionally, there are black underpants that extend down to the legs as part of the ensemble.

We make our way to the audience seats and are greeted by a mission field reminiscent of the one I previously encountered in Canalava City. Ziplines, flying platforms, and pillars occupied by gym trainers define the setup.

Dan announces, "Behold the Gym Mission of Glaglider! Navigate through air currents, soar through checkpoints using ziplines and platforms, and once you reach the exit, you'll face the gym leader."

"Sounds exciting," Alice remarks with enthusiasm.

"Let the Gym mission commence!" Dan declares, prompting Alice to step onto the platform and ascend into the sky to begin the challenge.

Amidst numerous ziplines and platforms, Alice navigates through the challenging course, diligently memorizing their layout as she progresses. Along the way, she engages in battles with four gym trainers, each utilizing two Flying Type Pokémon in their matches.

After a series of strategic encounters and skillful maneuvering through the aerial obstacles, Alice finally reaches the end of the course. At her successful arrival, Dan enthusiastically shouts, "Goal! Gym Mission Clear!" - signifying the completion of the challenging Gym Mission.

Entering the elevated battlefield simultaneously with Glen, the winds seem to carry an aura of anticipation. Glen, exuding the spirit of the skies, speaks, "Ah, the winds whisper tales of our impending battle. I am Glen, connoisseur of the skies and Flying-type Pokémon. Together, let's ascend to new heights and embrace the freedom of the open air!"

With confidence, Alice responds, "You bet." Her readiness to face the challenge is evident as she prepares for the thrilling match ahead. Their first Pokemon are Pelipper and Low-Key Form Toxtricity.

The battle unfolds with Glen initiating the action, commanding his Pelipper to unleash a Water Pulse. Anticipating the attack, Toxtricity swiftly dodges the oncoming water blast with an agile leap, avoiding direct contact.

"Spark!" Alice quickly responds, prompting Toxtricity to unleash a barrage of electric bolts toward Pelipper. The Electric-type assault lands accurately, dealing significant damage to Pelipper, causing it to recoil.

In response, Pelipper retaliates with a Gust attack. Despite the gust managing to affect Toxtricity, it stands firm. Sensing an opening, Alice seizes the moment and commands Toxtricity to unleash its powerful move, Overdrive. The electrifying attack overwhelms Pelipper, ultimately leading to its defeat.

"Let's see how you face this one, Noivern!" Glen announces as his second Pokémon, Noivern, enters the fray. Noivern wastes no time and launches a Boomburst attack, setting off a clash of resonating sounds with Toxtricity's Overdrive.

However, despite Toxtricity's efforts, Noivern's strength in sound overwhelms it. Noivern capitalizes on its advantage and strikes with a powerful Dragon Pulse, ultimately defeating Toxtricity and removing it from the battle.

"Then I'll bring out an Ice Type. Let's go! Darmanitan!" Alice calls upon her Galarian Darmanitan, commanding it to use Ice Punch, aiming to deal significant damage to Noivern. Meanwhile, Noivern utilizes Moonlight to restore its health, bolstering its stamina for the battle. Seizing the moment, Noivern then employs Super Fang, reducing half of Darmanitan's HP in one fell swoop.

Responding to the damage sustained, Darmanitan undergoes a transformation into its Zen Mode. Harnessing its Fire Type abilities, Alice instructs Darmanitan to use Will-o-Wisp, causing a burn on the Dragon-type Pokémon. Taking advantage of the situation, Darmanitan unleashes an icy onslaught with Icicle Crash, overpowering Noivern and rendering it unable to continue the battle. With that, Noivern is defeated, securing Alice a crucial victory in the match.

Glen's third Pokémon, Braviary, takes the field, and he commands it to unleash a powerful Superpower attack. The forceful strike inflicts significant damage upon Darmanitan. In retaliation, Darmanitan attempts to counter with Thrash, but Braviary adeptly dodges every consecutive strike, causing Darmanitan to become confused.

"This doesn't look good... Darmanitan's at a disadvantage," Elena remarks with concern.

"Crush Claw!" Glen commands and Braviary swiftly executes the move, dealing a decisive blow that knocks out Darmanitan from the battle.

Alice surprises everyone by choosing Kleavor, an ancient Pokémon, to join the battle. Glen, intrigued by the unexpected choice, remarks, "I've never encountered a Kleavor before. This should be interesting."

"I'll demonstrate its strength. Stone Axe!" Alice commands, directing Kleavor to launch an attack that not only inflicts damage upon Braviary but also strategically sets up Stealth Rocks across the battlefield.

"Stealth Rocks, huh? I'm not intimidated. Braviary, use Aerial Ace!" Glen counters. The Flying-type attack manages to cause some damage due to Kleavor's Bug typing, but Kleavor retaliates swiftly with a potent Stone Edge. The powerful Rock-type move overwhelms Braviary, ultimately knocking it out of the battle and securing a victory for Alice.

"Gaze upon our ultimate aerial confrontation. Behold the strength of my final winged ally, soaring forth with resolute determination!" Glen announces, unveiling his last Pokémon, Corviknight, a formidable Steel-type—a foreboding match-up against Kleavor.

"Kleavor, Swords Dance!" Alice commands, aiming to boost Kleavor's Attack stat. However, Corviknight strikes first, swiftly launching a Steel Wing attack that lands as a critical hit on Kleavor, dealing significant damage.

"Now, use Steel Beam!" Glen orders. The powerful Steel-type move inflicts a substantial amount of damage on Kleavor, overwhelming the ancient Pokémon and forcing it out of the battle, leaving Alice surprised and disappointed by the outcome.

"Time to shine, Charla! I choose you!" Alice exclaims as she summons her final Pokémon, Charizard, into the battlefield.

Glen, exuding confidence, declares, "Ascend to new heights, Corviknight! Embrace the power of Gigantamax! Let our presence in the skies be felt far and wide!" With a swift recall and re-release, Corviknight emerges enveloped in a multitude of feathers, indicating its Gigantamax form.

"Charla! Gigantamax!" Alice commands, unleashing the immense power of Gigantamax Charizard. The crowd erupts in excitement, witnessing Gigantamax Charizard's presence on the battlefield, a rare sight outside of Leon's battles.

"Unleash the tempest! G-Max Wind Rage, Corviknight! Let the winds of change sweep through the battlefield with unyielding force!" Glen commands.

"Max Airstream!" Alice counters, directing Charla to engage in the aerial clash. The collision of the two powerful Flying-type moves increases Charla's speed, thanks to its Max Airstream move.

"What's the effect of G-Max Wind Rage?" Helen inquires.

"It breaks through Reflect and Light Screen," I clarify.

With determination, Alice seizes the moment and commands Charla to execute G-Max Wild Fire. The tremendous fiery assault overwhelms Corviknight, dealing substantial damage and ultimately securing victory for Alice in the intense aerial showdown.

"Your mastery of the skies eclipses mine today. Your victory soars above the clouds. May your journey be as boundless as the open sky," Glen recalls his Pokémon and then walks towards Alice. "Your wings have carried you to victory, and for that, I present the Flying Badge. May it symbolize not just triumph, but your boundless potential as a sky explorer."

They shake hands while Alice secures her seventh badge. Glen adds, "As you venture forth, remember that the skies offer infinite possibilities. Embrace the freedom and grace that Flying-type Pokémon embody. Fly high, Trainer, and may the winds guide you to new horizons. Until we meet again amidst the clouds!"

Back at the entrance, the staff says, "Challenger Alice, congratulations on your seventh badge. Please accept the uniform, which is a copy of the attire Glen wears."

Alice nods, taking the uniform, and the staff adds, "One more gym left. Good luck."

"Yeah," Alice says as we head back to the Wild Area. "To think I only need one more badge... time does fly fast."

"Yeah," I say as we make our way back through the Wild Area.

Here is a new chapter, and this is the Flying Gym. I hope you like it and the next chapter will may be Hop's turn with his Poison Gym.
